We arrived Nov 26 2016. We were greeted with a cold towel and refreshing rum punch. There was a problem when we arrived about having adjoining rooms, so we spent the first night 2 doors away from each other. Luckily the next day the 1 guest room was being checked out. So we kindly asked the maid, who asked management if we could move to that room so we could be next to our other party. A big thank you for being so kind and understanding!! There was a great view of the ocean from our balcony. The mini fridge was hardly restocked we had to call a couple times for them to replenish it. Rooms were immaculate. Nothing to complain about, except maybe the pillows, but you could call front desk and have them send up orthopedic and feather pillows. Arriving on a Saturday, they ran out of towel cards. But it was no problem to get one and exchange them. There are 2 pools with swim up bars. On one side is more for kids and families, the other is for adults. Then there is the lazy river and water slide. Didnt go on the water slide, but the lazy river was nice to relax in with a drink in hand. I am a picky eater so when it came to the buffet, it wasnt always the best, but i always found enough to eat. French fries, salad, jerk chicken and jamaican patties. There is a snack bar that has nachos and fries and patties to if the buffet didn't. The 24 hour snack bar was great, the cookies were a fantastic late night snack. The entertainment wasnt very good. Geared towards children. There is an adults lounge with pool tables and music and a small casino. We tried all the a la cartes. The only one we didn't care for was the Asian restaurant. Try the seaside grill red snapper and coconut mashed potatoes. Delicious!! The beach wasn't anything to write home about. Rocky. And nothing but seaweed. Drinks were pretty good and went down smooth. All the employees at sunscape were great. Always greeted you with a smile and hello. Bartenders were great. Activities we did included snorkeling, glass bottom boat ride, and the ziplining excursion. That was great, an all day adventure ziplining, river tubing, ropes course, and bird aviary. All in all it was an amazing trip to a beautiful country. Counting down the days until i return again! Thank you sunscape cove.
I stayed here for one night which my friend booked (I had already booked two nights at their sister hotel Secrets Wild Orchid by myself). Very decent hotel, rooms were fine, beach was lovely and good at restaurant was decent also. Staff very friendly. As stated above only there for one night courtesy of my friend but from what I saw, if you cannot afford the upmarket Secrets down the road then this is a very suitable alternative.
Been to a few AI resorts, Bahamas, Aruba, Mexico and these are by far the friendliest staff We have ever experienced. The breakfast, lunch and some dinners are sit down at white table cloth tables and menu that the staff will bring to you. No more standing in line at the omelet station for breakfast. The rooms are nice and very clean. For a beverage go across the way to the Splash where you have plenty of comfortable sitting in an open setting under roof. The restaurants are a hit or miss and a couple of nights we wish we had gone to the buffet. The ocean is on the calm side and they have plenty of shade for the chaise lounges as they have their own private beach. All i n all it was one of the cleanest and friendliest resorts we have been to. We will be back!!
This hotel is so beautiful. Next to the water and the service is bar none. The manager, she is spectacular!!! I love the way they great you with "Welcome home"!!!Their hostesses: Thaniwa, Trena, Tameko-(I am not sure if that is correct, but she is the morning hostess at the breakfast dining); and staff: O'Wayne, Edison, Omar, Jeremiah and PAUL!!!! We're all spectacular as well. I will never forget our shuttle driver Mr. Wise!!!!!! Awesome man!!!!! Took very good care of us when we traveled off site!!! The room service manager (sorry his name escapes me right now) was friendly and accommodating as well. The head chef Conrad, made me a special off-menu dinner one night when, although the food selection was GREAT, I just wanted a different kind of fish. Conrad came out and listened to what I had a taste for and was excited about making me the best snapper with lemon pepper sauce I have ever had in my life!!!!!!! The Buffet was always fresh and delicious as well. The drinks were constantly flowing and left nothing to be desired. The rooms were clean and maintained. The housekeeping staff was always checking the rooms and ready with anything that one might need.Every time someone found out it was my birthday I was celebrated!!! It made the trip much more special.I plan to return and with many more couples and friends. We are already planning our next trip!!!
Upon arrival at the Sunscape Cove on Feb. 21st we were greeted with friendly smiles and a cool face cloth which was very refreshing. We upgraded our room for a fee. The room was very clean and comfortable with modern furniture. Thank you Angella for the wonderful job cleaning our room each day!! The staff are amazing, they remind you that you are on holidays and tell you how much they appreciate you choosing this resort. Thank you Jenesha in entertainment for addressing our concerns, you were always available and made sure all was going well. We ate most of our meals at the Terrace or Da Maria in which we found the food and service very good. The jerk chicken stand was amazing. Bar staff at the Barracuda do need some improvement, service was quite slow even if it wasn't busy. The only place that had ice cold beer was at the Cove lobby bar, all bars should have cold beer. Beach is not the greatest but if you like to relax it is fine. We would return as the staff are all very polite, pleasant, accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your holiday-it is a perfect resort for a relaxing vacation.
