The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Seaweed was cleared daily, but there were dead jellyfish on the beach. The food was great, especially the seafood. We went during the off season in December, so there weren't many kids there at the time. We had no problem getting an umbrella on the beach everyday. Overall, we had a great, relaxing trip.
My family and I went there for the weekend and it was lovely. The food was great. The pools and water slides were extremely fun. The pirate ship was so cool but it was closed so we didn't get to go inside. The rooms were very cool and cozy and they had little things such as some needle and thread and buttons just in case you needed it which I very much appreciated. The staff was also extremely friendly and pleasant. The grounds were well kept and the beach looked breathtaking.
My family and I arrived 7/5 for a wedding to take place 7/7. The Bride had been working with the "wedding coordinator" for months prior to our arrival. The coordinator would not return calls, did not have a toll free number, did not respond to emails and was not accommodating at all to the family or the Bride. Eventually, the coordinator was replaced. Upon arrival, it took almost an hours to get checked in with 2 people ahead of us; get to the room and the air condition is not working; the electrician comes and rudely argues that there is not wrong with the system. Finally, he realizes after 2 hours the remote is not working, never acknowledges he was wrong. Day of the wedding rehearsal, the "new coordinator" had not idea of how to arrange the wedding party- when the best man should walk down, the maid of honor or even the groom; at the wedding reception the coordinator was basically missing in action, the family had to get things in order for the lovely couple - the tables were not arranged properly, not enough chairs for the guests and the wedding cake resembled a childs birthday cake. With all the bad news, the service people were very nice and the family enjoyed the happiness of the wedding and each other. I would NOT return or recommend this "resort" ever!
We booked through our travel Agent and it was a very nice all inclusive. I big buffet for all meals if you like plus an Italian and Japanese restaurant for dinners. We were upgraded to a ocean view room with a separate living room and kitchenette and king size bed with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The service in the rooms was great, always fresh and clean and very friendly staff. The food was good, but they could have had an extra chef at the omelet bar in the mornings. The snack bar served good fries and hamburgers and hotdogs all day.The drinks were good and the bartenders and servers were very friendly. Because of our upgrade, we also had the option to use the cove restaurants next door. They were a bit of a food and service upgrade, with very yummy deserts, like crème Brule. The slides was great for all ages and the lazy river was extra lazy and relaxing. Plenty of choices for pools, but we spent most days on the beach and in the clear water, swimming floating and playing. The wooden umbrellas on the beach went fast so stake yours out early if you need shade. They were great for reading sleeping and enjoying the frozen cocktails and Red Stripes brought to you by the waitresses. They have all the normal ocean kayaks and watersports included. The pools were cleaned and well kept each day and because the resort is so spread out you can move from pool to beach back to the swim up bar and never feel crowed or restricted. One thing that could have been better is if the music by some of the pools could have been turned down a bit. We selected this resort partially because it had the big twin water slides and lazy river, and the price for the all inclusive with the flights was about $1,500 to $1,800 less then other similar package deals for a family of three.
If you are use to a certain standard. This is "not" the place for you. If you don't care about a nice, clean room, clean pools, decent food, and great customer service; then this is the place for you. Basically every aspect of this resort needs to be upgraded - plan and simple.
