My sister and I visited this resort last week. It was a wonderful vacation. We stayed on the newer side and the resort . The rooms were lovely and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of very large towels in the room. The only problem we had was with the check in. We did not get into out room until after 4pm. Which was not good because we arrived at noon. The food was good. It's too bad they only have 2 el carte restaurants . but the buffet was very good . The staff was great . they were there to please and service was good. I would go back. .
We travelled end of Oct for 2 weeks and must say this place is lovely. We booked the most basic of rooms and got a slight upgrade to sea view. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It appears we were lucky as some that upgraded ended up in apparently grotty rooms. The food was great and although one of us is not big meat or seafood fan, we both always found something to eat, either buffet or a la carte. Try the jerk sauce, its delicious. Most staff were amazing, interesting and attentive (Kenesha, Anne-Marie, Marion, etc) and made our stay just that bit more personal. We would recommend you try the patties at the grill as they are gorgeous. The coffee shop was fantastic, and the strawberry daquiries brought to us on the beach were the best we have had. The whole 2 weeks ambled by at a leisurely pace leaving us relaxed and refreshed which is just what we wanted from our holiday. Weather was great, 1 night time thunder storm (brilliant light show) and 3 odd showers. Hot all the time though.Would defo go back and defo recommend.
My wife and I have just returned this morning from a 10 night holiday at the Azul Sensatori in Negril where we stayed in the first floor honeymoon suit in the adult section (22001). If you want generous space with two bathrooms and a wrap around balcony with ocean views then this will be for you, in addition this suit has sliding doors separating the bedroom from the living room so the nightlife from the evening entertainment around the Amber bar is blocked out should you want an early night. There are many, many positives about this resort, the beautiful setting, the friendly and helpful staff, the variety of different spaces within the resort, and an excellent gym. However, the downsides reported by others are real. The food is no more than adequate and the cushions etc. are often stained. The sunbed challenge is also real although as best we could tell everyone did get what they needed. Some reviews highlight the perceived obsession of setting alarm clocks so sunbeds can be secured however it is worth pointing out that tea and coffee is available from reception at 6am which is also the time that the gym opens. In addition the beach also has a number of early morning joggers and couples enjoying a romantic walk before breakfast starts at 7am, this provides an answer as to why the sunbeds are taken early in and around the adult section and the pool area by the Amber bar and Palms restaurant. The sun rises around 6am and it is beautiful.
We would like to thank all the staff for a truly fantastic holiday , Starting with Shelly-Ann and Kemora , Kemar , who looked after our every need . and the West End Crew Roxanne , Karla ,Rose-Ann, Jermaine , who make the best Coffee on the island , Sheree who looked after us daily at the beach , the room was excellent and cleaned to a high standard , the resort and gardens were tended every day with staff who are very conscientious about there work and keeping it to a very high standard , the restaurants were all 5 star and the food was excellent , Thank you again .
From the beginning until the end this was a fantastic holiday for me and my wife.We travelled from Manchester and pre booked premium seats with Thomson in feb. This was a good choice as the leg room was great (I am quite tall) and it was nice to have that little bit of luxury. We arrived at Jamaica airport and had pre-booked a fast track process through immigration and security which we must have been the only ones as everyone else was queuing and we sailed through to the front. We didn't get much time in the lounge but we were happy to just get on the bus and get to the hotel. After reading ALOT of reviews on here, I must admit that some people really are pathetic and I am mainly writing my review because not EVERYTHING is as bad as what people make out on here. Drama queens.Yes, there is an issue with the sunbeds but be simple and realistic, if the hotel had provided everyone with a sunbed they wouldn't have a beach left. We just put a towel on the beach like normal, sane people if there were no sunbeds. We don't create drama just because we read some 'sunbed' reviews on here. There was some really rude people to the staff here over sunbeds and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You're not human! Like I say, when we found one, we found one, when we didn't, we used a towel and led on the beach. Lovely. We didn't book any premium or adults only section as the holiday was quite costly without the extras but the service, staff, management, thomsons reps, everyone was so nice, polite, helpful and always smiling. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We even did some trips through the thomsons reps when we were there. We have had several bad experiences in the past booking through people on the beach etc so we paid a little extra to 'hopefully' have it organised better and we were not disspointed. Thankyou to the reps. We went on a trip to bob marleys house (who doesn't in Jamaica) and then another one to Kingston to see his other house and a coffee plantation. absolutely amazing and worth every penny. We did some watersports from the guys on th ebach also. They were really friendly and we had so much fun. Definitely recommend these.Food and Drink .. AMAZING! There was just soooo much variety and all very tasty I have definitely come home ALOT heavier.Room ... Very clean, tidy and always smelt great. We overheard on the beach people moaning about their room, but ours was good as we are on 'holiday' and only went to the room to sleep, we didnt need anything fancy because we were not planning on spending 24 hours in the room.It did rain quite a bit but that's the weather, cant do much about that. The only downsides were the Americans, no volume button at all and always seemed rude to staff .... should be ashamed of yourselves! I could add in a lot more but you have to see it for yourselves hahahaAll in all, great holiday. Thankyou Thomson, thankyou Sensatori.
