OverviewA hacienda-style hotel located on the famous Negril Beach, Charela Inn is known for its friendly staff. All rooms have air conditioning and a private balcony or patio.
I stayed here with my friend for #DreamWeekend (big party event over 5 days) and It was so worth the money. • The staff were friendly and helpful• The rooms were always clean• The restaurant food was tasty• The views were amazing • The double room and bed was spacious • It is near the beach!I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The ares that should be improved are• The wifi connection wasn't very strong and kept cutting out at times. It's a shame it's mainly strong in the reception area. Also, on a smaller note, the TV cut out one night due to a cable issue whilst I was in the middle of a good comedy. All in all, I had a great time at Charela Inn!
Charela Inn is a unique resort with a great restaurant with reasonable prices. Congrats to the chef. The staff is very pleasant and go the extra mile. The rooms are clean, spacious and very relaxing not to mention the beach. This resort is charming very intimate and as such a gives a well rested stay. Charela Inn must not be overlooked as one of your destinations. Worth every penny spent!!!!
This was a nice restaurant on the Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica. The food was good and the service was good too. It is on the beach so the views were nice as well. The service was a bit slow but it seemed par for the course as this was the theme at most restaurants in Jamaica.
we stay down the beach at the tree house,,,but we come to the charela inn and the Le Vendome Rest a few times during our couple of weeks in nigril the food is great lunch is lunch but there dinner is the best on the beach 1st of all the room the fountan the garden now for the food every thing is fresh so some time they run out but that's good if its fresh and they run out it means its busy the food is cooked to order the service is 5 star and that is a BIG deal in Negril if your on the beach or an the cliffs its worth a taxi to eat at Le Vendome
Excellent service on all occasions. Effortless check-in and check-out. Accurate billing and internet reservations. Clean and mostly bug free rooms. A few small ants in a tropical setting were no bother. Sea view rooms with a balcony are worth the added cost. Air con worked well. Refrigerator large enough to store a 6 pack of beer and a few bottles of water. Safe can easily store a laptop and more. Linens and towels are changed daily if you want. Two clean beach towels provided daily. Any issues with the room were addressed immediately and fixed the same day. Wi-fi worked and flat screen TV had enough channels to keep us entertained when we were in the room.We had a breakfast included plan, though prices for individual items didn't seem too bad. Service at breakfast was super fast and the food is great. They have quality entertainment on Thursday and Saturday nights. Beautiful setting and a very good chef. Dinner was prepared different and better than lunch so we assume there are two different chefs. The wine selection is limited and the drinks are ok. The only improvements I could think of would be hiring a professional bartender so the servers are not doing both and improving the wine selection.Charela truly has the best beachfront out of all the other hotels we've been to in Negril. The sand is raked to be soft each morning and kept clean, unlike most other establishments where it felt flattened with cigarette butts laying around. The palm trees are ideally placed if you are looking for shade and there are enough spots if you like seclusion. There are more than enough sun beds and in decent enough shape. Water is crystal clear and warm. We snorkeled right off the shoreline and saw lots of fish, starfish, and even a huge stingray. The approach into the ocean is easy and gradual so it's even easy to get out. There weren't as many mosquitoes and sand flies at this hotel as we've experienced in the past at other hotels in Negril. Not sure how they manage that, but it's a welcome relief. In essence, Charela delivered on all fronts. Clean and cool room, superb beachfront, tasty food (though inconsistent at times), and most of all stellar service.
