Coco La Palm
- What's Included
This was our third trip to CCLP. This place is the absolute best for the price. We stayed in a Junior Suite, with a view of the beach. Both of the restaurants serve really good food. We ate at both several times. They also have a happy hour with 2 for 1 drink prices. All the staff are friendly and caring. We would like to give a shout out to those employees who made this trip more enjoyable. Steve Dias at the beach, works hard and is a great person. Kameisha in the front office was really helpful. Ericka and Marie in housekeeping did a great job. Jonathon our waiter at breakfast went above and beyond every day. Mr. Wiiliam Vassell the general manager is a genuine host, whom we had the pleasure of chatting with before we left. Thanks again for another great trip. See you in October!
We loved everything about this place! The staff, the rooms, the restaurants and the location worked really good for us. I am sure if we return to Negril we will stay here. The beach security dealt with the roaming vendors effectively but it still takes a little getting used to. That is all part of Jamaica though.
Stayed at CocoLa Palm 5/19-5/21/17. Weekend getaway. Very pleased with stay. Stayed in a Jr. Suite garden view (room 226). Room was dated although I met another resort guest who said her room was more modern/contemporary. She was in bldg 8 which was closer to beach. My room was large with 2 sinks and 2 shower heads in a large couple shower. Large comfortable balcony with table and 4 chairs and 2 chaise lounges. Room had a fridge, wet bar and surprisingly...no microwave. Tv was wall mounted but only had 1 station (TBS) lol and more funny was commercials were in Spanish and shows in English. Lololol. Most rooms have garden view. Only a few rooms (suites) with ocean front. Doesn't really matter as hotel is on the beach. Only ate breakfast at hotel which was good. Rooms clean, service good, security good. I like how vigilant security was on the beach and at front of hotel. I've been to Jamaica many times. First time not at an all inclusive. I must say I liked the peace and quiet with no kids screaming and no animation hotel workers screaming through loudspeakers over loud music. I will return here or to another small resort on the 7 mile beach. Sandy Haven resort next store is more contemporary but has less than 1/2 the beachfront of cocolapalm. Facing water go right and walk to margaritaville on beach. Very close-if u like that scene. Across street from hotel is good jerk chicken, pork and very good soup. My local friends recommended this hotel to me and although I only ate breakfast there I'm told the food is really good. I recommend it if u don't need a modern room with all the bells and whistles that an all exclusive has. I will return in 6 months if I can get a suite with waterfront view. (I get off on waking up to water views). But I am now convinced to always stay on 7 mile beach properties and steer away from all inclusive when in Negril.
Our room was a king suite and we loved it. The beach was perfect, we have travelled the carribean extensively and Negril beach is our favourite. Location and service was perfect. Food and entertainment could improve but overall great value. Our second week of vacation we went to the new Rui Raggee and we did our own little survey on which week we preferred and it was a tiebreaker.
The hotel was referred to us by a travel agent and it was the best move ever! From check in to check out the staff was attentive, readily available to help. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in booking tours, we felt comfortable following our guide 'off the beaten path' as we toured Mays Falls (?spelling). Breakfast and dinner we ate at the resort and food was fresh, local and delish! One of the Marley family clan reportedly the head chef. Nothing like good food downing a Red Stripe falling in love with the Negril sunset. We will be back for sure we are in love Negril and CocoLaPalm is surely on our list! Shosanna the front desk clerk (spelling?)was first rate
