Coco La Palm
- What's Included
This resort is located on beautiful 7 mile beach of soft white sand. The ocean is gorgeous ,crystal clear water and great for swimming since there are no waves. It is almost in the middle of 7 mile beach so one can have long walks in either direction.I am an avid gardener and was so impressed with the grounds. I have stayed in many resorts and I think this hotel has the best garden . Lots of nice tropical plants , trees with under storey shrubs and flowers. Everyday I would walk along the paths and look at the different plants. I chatted with some of the grounds staff and asked questions. They willingingly provided answers and Wayne explained a few things to me which should make me a better gardener. The grounds here are almost like a mini rain forest with a large variety of plants. I never expected this type of garden. The hotel has an old section and a new section. My room was in the old section. The bathroom could use a little updating but really I cannot find any fault with the accommodation. Room was spacious and the housekeeping was excellent. I had a patio which was surrounded by lovely plants. There is a coffee maker in the room. Coffee is provided but no tea.I always travel with a variety of teas so it was not an issue. This was the first time I stayed in a resort which was not all inclusive and from now on I think this is is type of place I would stay. It was a totally different experience from an all inclusive.Continental breakfast was included which was more than adequate for me. .There are lots of restaurants along the beach which was a great opportunity to interact with other people.I found the prices quite reasonable both outside and in the hotel . The bar has a good selection for lunch. There are vendors who walk along the beach selling fruit. Some people may find the prices high compared to what one would pay in a supermarket at home but do consider they are trying to make a living .The staff in all areas are friendly and helpful . They are also hard working and accommodating. They are very responsive and efficient. I had a couple of minor issues and they were resolved within minutes. This is not the type of place one would stay if you wanted to party. it is a place to relax read a few books and enjoy the beautiful beach and ocean which is exactly what I wanted.
The resort is a great place to experience Negril and the awesome beach. The property is expertly maintained, beautiful landscaped, and continually updated. This was our second stay at Coco. They added new rooms, expanded the dining room and increased the size of Marleys...the great beach grill/restaurant.Our room had everything we wanted and was immaculately kept.Great beach! Great people working there, and always meeting new friends.
This was our third visit to Negril but our first stay at CocoLaPalm. We really enjoyed ourselves! The large beach with plenty of lounge chairs was fabulous!! Other resorts we have stayed at had small, cramped beach space but CocoLaPalm had plenty of space. The rooms were clean and recently remodeled. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is great -- especially the breakfast and lunch menus. Dinner tends to be a little heavy and somewhat pricey compared to other restaurants along the beach. Overall, we had a great stay and plan to return again.
Second stay at Coco, and third in Negril, Coco LaPalm dos not disappoint. Staff is fantastic, as is the service. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Food is great, can drink the water, and hands down one of the best beaches I have seen. Perfect location for strolling the 7 Mile Beach, with lots to see and do. Only con is there seemed to be trouble with the in room coffee pots- not just ours, and one of our bedroom lights were out, but we couldn't be bothered to wait for maintenance to show to have it fixed, so not a huge deal. The pools were clean and great locations for each. Didn't partake in the hot tub but report from others said it was great. Can't wait to return and would definitely recommend.
We booked this hotel online for our first night in Negril and paid for their cheapest room. The room was spartan but spotlessly clean and everything was in good shape. The bed was very comfortable and we had AC, a ceiling fan, and small refrigerator. The grounds is what makes this report so good. The garden area is lush and beautiful and set in the middle is a pool and hot tub. A second pool is adjacent to the beach. The beach is amazing and there are so many places to sit and enjoy a tropical view. We ate at the beach grill and it was good and reasonably priced but there are so many places in the immediate area to eat and drink that we only ate at the resort for one quick meal right after we arrived. You can't beat this place for the price. It's small but clean and gorgeous and right in the middle of Seven Mile Beach. We won't hesitate to stay here again.
