Our Opinion
A beautiful resort at one end of a cove with a long sandy beach. Grand Lido Negril is a quiet resort with great food including excellent a la carte restaurants. Lovely pools including a clothing optional pool and beach area.
Please Note: Grand Lido Negril has closed for renovation. It is expected to re-open in late 2016 as the Royalton Negril.

Royalton Negril NOT READY YET!

-The first encounter with staff I experienced delays, most of your staff seems inexperienced-you do not have enough bell boys or trolleys-The room service staff should have trolleys and they came late always and no one came back to collect my plates. The food always arrived cold-The first room I was placed in had several mosquitoes and flies-This room also had a plumbing issue room 4001 that caused the toilet water to come up through the shower and so sediments of feces were floating in the shower and smelling up the entire room. When I went to report to your front desk, they asked if I necessarily wanted a room switch- I then demanded one as there were feces left in the shower and I was not comfortable that the plumbing issue was resolved.-The tiles in the rooms and around the hotel are slippery when wet, and the condensation effect alone made the tiles wet- My colleagues had many other complaints and changed rooms 3 different times -Also you have a fly issue in your buffet-Muddy areas around tiled walkways were left without cleaning up

Great Vacation!

This resort is still in the process of getting the new kinks worked out. The check in process was slow, especially if you're in the diamond club because they want to walk you around the resort and show you to the diamond lounge to check you in. Be patient and it is good though! Patience is key to this place, honestly you have no where else to be while on vacation :) Restaurants are fantastic!! Food was delicious. If you are staying in diamond club, have your butler make your reservations at Zen, the Italian restaurant, and steak house! Employees could not have bent over more backwards for us. They were fabulous. Always asked if we needed a drink, smiled as they walked by, etc. Our butler, Eugene and ____ were great! Always on top of things. Request them if possible. If you are with Nexus, watch out for Adrien though. Stay on top of him about your car ride back to the airport. We did not have a ride for us and we were an hour and a half later than suppose to be leaving the resort and had a private taxi take us. $150 later- the hotel concierge got the taxi for us because Adrien blamed us for the ride not being there. Thankfully, Cindy Bryant, our travel agent, took care of everything and had someone higher than Adrien meet us at the airport to take care of the taxi fee! Over all, the trip was great!! Our experience

We booked the Hideaway about a month after opening. We loved the view from the lobby! Coming into this trip, we expected there to be things not entirely sorted out, since it is a new resort, so our expectations were not incredibly high. Our room was not ready when we came there at 4pm. After a very long day of traveling, this was a little frustrating. We were celebrating our anniversary and told multiple employees about this. There was nothing special done for us, even after all their promises. Diamond club is not worth the extra you pay. We left one of the restaurants hungry after hours of waiting and receiving raw meat for our entrees. Room service was hours late or didn't come at all. There was also no entertainment most nights. Food was often cold or undercooked. My husband got sick the last day from one of the restaurants. Ruined the final day of our vacation, because we planned an excursion that day. The positive: the Calypso restaurant was very good, and we enjoyed the beach. We tried to make the best of the situation. Hopefully, the resort improves over time. Unfortunately, there is no reason for us to return to a Royalton chain.
