Rooms on the Beach Negril
- What's Included
The staff is what makes this resort so special. They go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is truly remarkable. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Chevenaise in the front office, Sylvester in maintenance, Oneil and Mario at the beach and pool, and Kimoy in security. The resort is very clean and well maintained. We stayed in room 2202 which faced the front of the resort. The room is very spacious and clean, with updated bathrooms. We had a large balcony, which we enjoyed during the evening. The room does not come with a fridge but you can easily rent one from the front office. The room needs a little tlc for ensuring the door has a secure lock on it, many of the bolts are coming lose and the furniture shows lots of use. The resorts location for going out and exploring Negril is fantastic. We felt very safe leaving the resort and walking either on the beach or the road. We had lots of great meals and met lots of very nice people. The beach is fantastic! Lots of white sand, great for walking. A huge plus this time was the huge decrease we noticed in the amount of people trying to sell you items on the beach. They would ask you once and if you declined they would simply move on. We really enjoyed our stay at Rooms and will return. The staff, the cleanliness, and location make it a great location. If you are looking to explore Negril on your own and are looking for a simple and nice play to stay, then Rooms is it!
Spent Christmas here, this hotel is right on the 7 mile beach! Very nice place! Clean rooms, wonderful, wonderful staff, felt very safe there. We had a shuttle from & back to the airport as I booked with Westjet vacations. Security is both at beach side & road side, you give your room # when you leave & come back. This was not an all inclusive as I didn't want that but breakfast was included which is convenient to have your coffee & eat before relaxing on the beach. The "inclusive" breakfast was beverages, fresh fruit & hard boiled egg. They have many other options for reasonable prices if that is not enough for you or you want something other than that. On the hotel waterfront they had a sunny area as well as shaded area with trees with lawn chairs, beach towels provided. You can stay within hotel property if you want total peace or move your chair past the hotel boundary wall closer to the beach if you want to socialize & mingle with other guests & locals. Life guard on duty, small beach side bar at Rooms & it is right beside Woodstock which is excellent Bar & Grill (had grilled lobster for lunch). Great location with many local eateries within walking distance. Almost right across the road is Miss Sonia's, very delicious patties! Sweet Spot very good restaurant (fried chicken dinner with rice & peas & salad for $6usd). Sweet Spot also has a store for beer, water, cigarettes etc. Hungry late? No problem! Street vendors cooking up delicious jerk chicken for "take away" just a quick walk away. Step out to the roadside & taxis are everywhere. This is a very good basic hotel, had a small swimming pool but I prefer the ocean. Worry free & awesome stay!
The hotel is nice but we had some problems. The safe-deposit box in the room was broken, there aren't any shampoo, the water of the shower was cold and we find a queen bad and small bad when we asked for a king. During the evening we went in the beach to eat something and we were attack by many people that try to sell drug and asking for money. Not really a safe area.
Solid 3 star hotel with 5 star service.NOTE: If you're on the first level always keep your balcony door locked. Please do not be awakened at 3am to a larger than life crab crawling in your room. I guess the joke was on me.I stayed at this hotel over the New Years Eve Holiday. Check in with Taneisha was a breeze, no problems there. The room was more than spacious enough for 2-3 people to sleep comfortably. Speaking of comfort, the beds and pillows are not the most comfortable but that wasn't an issue for me as I never sleep much on vacation anyway. Also, the hot water needs to run for at least 5 minutes before actually getting hot enough to take a shower. The thing that stood out to me the most about this hotel is that the staff was very efficient and accommodating and with a smile. So that more than made up for the couple of issues that really didn't sit well with me. Such as, the little on site gift shop was really expensive, having to be issued a card for towels and to be charged $20 if they're not returned and the charge to make local calls from the room. I would like to personally thank the staff that I came directly in contact with that made my stay wonderful. Taneisha and Cheviniece (I think) at the front desk, the short dark skinned maintenance man (his name escapes me), Thelma in the cafe and Kelvin Robinson at the bar. I definitely would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again, maybe April 2017.
this was our fourth time staying at rooms and while each stay has been good ,this time it was excellent. the comp breakfast has been expanded and was good . the front desk was the best yet Tavidia, Tanisha and Sashae. always smiling and pleasant. the pool guys were all good. thank you Mario. the maintenance very good thanks to Rambo . security company was different and very good. especially Nelson . they really stayed on top of things. finally Ms. Grant the g.m. took good care of our family. the price for the rooms makes rooms a good value
