The powder-white sand and turquoise water's of Jamaica are awaiting you at the Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa, only steps away from the activity of your choice. But the most awesome feature of all is the beauty of the Negril sun sinking below the horizon to signal the end of another day in paradise.
Location: On Negril's famous 7-mile beach, 10 min drive to the town of Negril, 90 min away from the airport.
Staff made the vacation. From the management, to the beach guys, to the servers, to the concierges. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The resort was clean and well maintained. Our room was incredible! Always cleaned and supplied. Wifi was never a problem. Was able to FaceTime home and post with no interruptions. Food is amazing from breakfast to the numerous choices for dinner. The beach is amazing. Chairs were always available, but not necessarily prime ones as the butlers do their jobs for their guests. Had some hiccups, air conditioning went out one evening but staff was prompt and fixed before we got back from dinner. Can't wait to go back.
Resort was nice, however, when we visited beach was not accessible. Due to strong waves, it was washed out and tons of seaweed. Actually had machinery and workers on beach whole time I was there. Snorkeling thru Sandals is complimentary, just wish it was a little longer, in the water maybe 30 minutes. Drinks are great, food just average.
We stayed at this resort for 5 days. The first day we stayed in a regular room which was amazing and very updated. The following day we had a reservation for the rest of our stay to a swim up pool butler room which was incredible. The butler service is worth every penny. The service at this resort is one of a kind. Our butler anticipated our room/beach/food/drink needs even before asking. The resort wasn't ridiculously pack which made for a great trip without crowds. My husband thought the food offered could have been more authentic Jamaican food because he's Jamaican but I thought the food was good. We were there for a wedding and thought their wedding planning service seemed seamless and turned out beautiful. The resort has extensive water activities for its guests inclusive of the room rate. It was so much fun to enjoy the beach everyday. I know this resort is quite expensive however think considering the activities and services included. Highly recommend Sandals Negril.
Experience has been truly magical. My first time snorkeling, kayaking, winning a dance competition (comical & fun). The people working at the resort are friendly and very happy. I recommend visiting Sandals @ Negril for all newlyweds looking for romance in paradise!Tip #1 Book a cabana with Christina (cash only)Tip #2 Ask for Roy special drinkTip #3 Piano bar is the bees knees
We visited 2 different sandles location this past week for our honeymoon. We were supposed to go to sandles royal Bahamian however due to hurricane irma were sent to the sandles montego bay instead. We spent 8 hours on the phone with customer service who has no customer service skills at all. They we will not willing to work with us and try and find something equal to the royal Bahamian which is a 5 store resort. The airline also decided to charge us 3000 more to go Jamaica instead of nassau. That's a whole different story. Finally after much fighting with sandals and explaining that no we can't just move our vacation up 2 weeks (we have jobs and already lined up care for our child) they finally transferred us to montego bay. We only lasted there 2 and half days. The room was horrible. Stains all over the carpet. We had also paid extra to for a butler and to be picked up in a Bentley none of which happened. The food at the restaurants were not high quality. The montego bay Italian restaurant pasta tasted like canned lasnaga. The steak had no meat on it and was pure fat. It took 2 hours for our butler to deliver breakfast which by that time was now lunch. We soon found out that like 7 other couples had the same butler. No wonder things take so long they are over booked and over worked. The buffet had no options and was very small. Mind you, if you have never been to an all inclusive resort this may seem wonderful to you, however we are experienced travelers and I will say sandals has been the dirtiest and has had the worst food out of all the resorts we have been too. Our honeymoon costsed us 10,000 for 7 days. That's excluding there "beach dinner" and excursions. I have been to all inclusive resorts for 3500 for 6 days which marble floors, a buffet that never ends and the best food I've ever tasted and this fell short of that significantly. Once moving to sandles negril we finally had a nicer room. The resort does look a little run down but much nicer than montego bay. The staff is very friendly and the entertainment team Shanice, Quan, and jordino, kept the place lively and fun! There was no airconditoned bars at this resort which had us in bed by 10 pm every night. We expected to have a few late nights dancing the night away which did not happen. Negril is a beautiful place I just don't think we chose the right company or resorts to stay at. This is our first experience with sandals and the worst by far even when it comes to a natural disaster like a hurricane it was a mess to work them. I will stick to my nicer resorts for way less money, better rooms and food.
