The powder-white sand and turquoise water's of Jamaica are awaiting you at the Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa, only steps away from the activity of your choice. But the most awesome feature of all is the beauty of the Negril sun sinking below the horizon to signal the end of another day in paradise.
Location: On Negril's famous 7-mile beach, 10 min drive to the town of Negril, 90 min away from the airport.
Sandals Negril was a very nice resort. They staff catered to our every need. Food was amazing. Rooms were clean and modern. The only downside was the seaweed on the beach (caused by storm) when we first arrived, but it was cleaned up in no time. With Sandals you can not go wrong!!!
Recently we spent a week at Sandals Negril celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary. We were looked after like royalty - our room door was decorated with a banner - the bed was decorated and on the actual day the table in the restaurant was decorated with flowers and we had a special dessert with Congratulations on it. Our room was on the second floor and the sunset views were fabulous .The beach is excellent for walking, the ocean beautiful and the pools great. The best thing about Sandals Negril are the amazing staff. We met some that we will remember always = Kendra and Chevoy love you both. All the Loyalty Club staff especially Narva Gaye - and Carian and Djvaan in the Club Lounge - Nickiska in the Italian restaurant - which was our favourite - went above and beyond . - The food here was so good !If anyone has any questions I will be happy to help.
My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon on October 14, 2017. We chose this resort because we wanted an adults only higher end hotel for our honeymoon. This was our second time in Jamaica but first time in Sandals. Food: Nothing short of excellent. All five restaurants had exquisite food and a plethora of variety - we never got board of anything. Usually in most all inclusives we would start to get sick of the repetitive food by the end of the trip but in Sandals every meal was different and tastefully put together. Entertainment: The Playmakers at Sandals made our stay that much more enjoyable. Roshane, Shanice & Dequan were especially friendly and accommodating. They took the time to sit with my husband to welcome and talk to us. Every morning they were up bright and early with creative ways to entertain us adults and at night they always had something spectacular planned. Every night there was a different event planned for us, ranging from bonfires on the beach to elegant chocolate symphony parties. Roshane kept us smiling and laughing all week and really made our experience that much more enjoyable. Thanks Roshane keep smiling!! I would definitely come back just to see the entertainment team again!Hotel: The resort itself is beautifully decorated and well kept. Everything is clean and well maintained. The hotel is situated in a beautiful strip of beach and there is always umbrella and chairs available. We didn't have a butler but I honestly didn't see the need for it, as they were primarily just getting people drinks and booking their dinner reservations for them. There was never a long wait for food or drinks so walking over to the bar was no problem (p.s drinks are aaamazing!! anything and everything available!)Overall Impression: I recommend this hotel to all honeymooners for a relaxing and romantic getaway.
We had 3 couples traveling together. Sorry for the long review but hopefully helpful. The staff and food were excellent, comments to follow. Two of the 3 rooms booked were Honeymoon beachfront butler suite. Nine months ago requested 2nd floor but got bottom floor, room 7105 and 7102. Just to set expectations, the room doesn't look like the pictures..lol. This room category is no more than a outdated low lit hotel room. I have vacationed at two other Sandals and the rooms were bright and roomy. The beds weren't comfortable. I did request a soft/feather mattress cover which helped. They only had one so the other room didn't get one. Oh well...we weren't in there room much. The piano bar is right down from these rooms on the beach. At night when "disco" time starts the music is thumping so loud it will wake you up, until 2 am. I called two nights in a row to ask them to lower and they did accommodate enough that I could go back to sleep. I'm all about having fun late but couldn't do it every night. Our friends had a 25th anniversary ceremony which was wonderful and well planned. Used the Spa several times, great experience! Now for some recognition! We weren't able to using the loop program at the resort due to internet issues. All these people provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Butlers - Myron and Neisha , I cannot say enough of these two, different styles and kept us guessing on what was next. Room surprises, to drinks just showing up, they were there all the time. We made the mistake of doing things like going to dinner on our own, we got there and realized that they has setup something special for us. We made sure to call... not something we are used to doing; being waited on... so it was a change. Our friends had different butlers that we did, Sean and Denato. Since the 3 couples were hanging together Sean and Denato would check on us to see if we needed anything, The 4 butlers worked together for our group and it was like having 4 butlers rather than 2. We were able to ask any of them to help with reservations. Travel - Narva (AMAZING) There are no words for this young lady... she was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and informative... she convinced us to book again in a couple of year.Bar - Francine (She was at different bars) This girl was all over the place, and no matter where she was, she remembered what we were drinkingPhoto - Keron, Devon and Andrew, they all worked around our schedules and took some great photos that we purchased.Barefoot -Dana and Floyd, they were a pleasure to be around, they kept us fed and hydrated... they made us laugh a lot. Great people.Kimonos - Paul, the table chef, I have never had an experience like that. He got the entire table singing, and laughing.. I didn't want to leave.Hospitality - Marlyn, stopped by the beach chairs and kept getting us drinks from the bar and kept the area clean. It was like have a third butler.Housekeeping - Simona (I think that is how it was spelled) was amazing, the room was kept up and clean and she even helped us get back into our room due to the key not workingBreakfast server - Kendra, she was the happiest bubbliest person in the place, very attentive to the guests. She made you smile, you couldn't help it.Piano Bar (Day) - Chris was amazing, he was the most layed back person and would smile at anyone... he was the most popular person on the resort from our perspective. He would walk by our room and you would hear everyone call out and say Hi Chris... he would stop and wave and talk to everyone.Piano Bar (Nights) - I didn't get their names, wish I had... but there were 3 gentleman that worked their butts off, and by the middle of the trip, I didn't have to order my drinks, I would walk up and they would just make the drinks for my wife and I from memory, even the special request that my wife made. I wish I had their names and you could recognize them.Lastly, I agree with another review about the birds in the buffet area, pretty bad.
We booked our trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We had been to Sandals Negril about 10 years ago and loved the beach so we decided to return. Our trip was scheduled after Irma hit the Caribbean. I called Sandals to see if there were any problems with Negril, I was told Negril resort was not affected by Irma. When we arrived and we saw the mucky water and very little white sandy beach we were very, very disappointed. I feel if we were told about the beach we may have rescheduled to another Sandals. The main reason we chose Negril was because of the beautiful beach. The water was murky with lots of seaweed. We saved for a long time to enjoy this special vacation. There were other disappointments too. The pool near the piano bar was in need of an update, tiles loose and missing. We never saw the staff clean the pool during the day, it could use a little skimming since most people including us used the pool instead of going in the murky ocean.Let’s talk about the food. My biggest complaint was the birds flying around and landing on the tables. I thought it was disgusting. I didn’t pay all that money to eat with birds. And many of the tables and chairs were full of bird poop and no staff ever cleaned it up. I would sit at breakfast and lunch and feel very uncomfortable that I had to watch were the birds would land. A 5 star resort should not have this going on. One dinner at Sundowner took over 2 hours, we saw people come in after us and have their entire meal and leave and we still didn’t get our meal. Was it because I ordered steak? When it finally arrived it wasn’t cooked properly, I sent it back, waited another half an hour and then it was inedible. Got a ‘sorry’ but that was it. One morning we had breakfast at Barefoot by the Sea, it took 1 and ½ hours for simple eggs and coffee. Again got a ‘sorry’. And then we tried room service one night. Ordered at 7:15pm, it arrived at 9pm even though we were told it would be 45 minutes. I was not at all impressed with the food. Some days I couldn’t tell what the fruit was, it looked awful! And only 2 flavors of yogurt the entire week? Thank goodness there was the pizza place!!!We made the best of it and did have a good time but too many disappointments for a 5 star resort!!!
