The powder-white sand and turquoise water's of Jamaica are awaiting you at the Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa, only steps away from the activity of your choice. But the most awesome feature of all is the beauty of the Negril sun sinking below the horizon to signal the end of another day in paradise.
Location: On Negril's famous 7-mile beach, 10 min drive to the town of Negril, 90 min away from the airport.
Will this was are second trip to Sandals and I have already booked our third. This Sandals has a great beach which is good as the pool is not very big with very few chairs. All the restaurants were good and selections were many. We stay in a beachfront walk out room with tranquility tub which was amazing. We were in the section closer to the Hedonism and never once were bug or offend they do there own thing in there own resort. The resort is a smaller Sandals but doesn't lack in anything compared to bigger ones. All the staff were great and were happy to be there. The scuba diving is a little different in the sense that they come back in between 2 tank dives. Good for convince however takes long time to do two dives. The sites are close but still takes you till 2:30 to do 2 dives. I have usually done both together at other resort which gets you back after 4 hours , so for me as my wife doesn't dive I would only do single dives as she would be by self majority of the day if I went for 2. The dive masters and instructors were awesome making dives safe and fun. The spa is very nice and would strongly recommend the couples massage. The piano player was awesome wish he play every night was a lot of fun. DJ was a blast and got everyone going every night. All the bartenders were some much fun talking and joking right till the end of there shift. Great resort with great staff would highly recommend it. Thanks Sandals Negril for the great vacation.
Let me start by saying we are both 69 and were here for our 50th anniversary. Maybe not your average Sandals customer and we had a wonderful 15 night stay. We were there from 11/15 to 12/1 and had great weather. The room was the second story oceanview suite in the Millionaires building down by the dive shop. This room was beautiful and we really enjoyed the large deck. The palm trees have grown enough that they do not block the view of the ocean anymore. A little noise from next door on the deck but none could be heard in the room. We ate at every restaurant and they were all great. Our favorite was the Cucina Romano. We ate most breakfasts there but the buffet is good also. Half of our dinners were at the Cucina Romano and Terriane and Renardo made them all special. Renardo was there for breakfast and dinner, always with his big smile and great service. Theda and Basil were our Butlers. Both did a fantastic job. They had our beach spots ready every morning and seemed to know where we were to bring snacks and drinks. They took care of so many details that made our stay so special. Would highly recommend them. We had the Candlelight dinner on the beach for our anniversary. Camoya did an outstanding job with this. What a special evening for us. We went Scuba Diving 6 times. What a great bunch of guys. Special thanks to Captain Hook, Sanjay and especially Josh. These guys really know their jobs and watch out for everyone. We felt comfortable and safe every trip. Thanks guys. Every single person at Sandals Negril is exceptional. We have been to Whitehouse, La Toc, and now Negril twice. Negril is our favorite because of the people there. Thanks for a great trip and the wonderful memories.
My GF (girlfriend) and I had an opportunity to enjoy the facility at Sandals Negril for several days in November. It was my first time staying at a Sandals. My GF is a travel agent and has stayed at many Sandals throughout the Caribbean. My first impression of walking into a Sandals lobby was amazing. The friendliness of the staff was far and above the best I have ever encountered. The management came out to meet my GF and provided us with a facility tour. The newly renovated side of Sandals is beautiful and very elegant. All the different type of rooms/suites were all wonderful. The original side of Sandals had a unique Caribbean feel that was enjoyable. Every room was outstanding, even the garden facing rooms. We enjoyed the pool with the swim-up bar on most of the days. The only complaint I have would be the bar tenders themselves. Most of them were just taking orders and making the drinks. There was no socializing or friendliness amongst the guests. I understand they have a job to do, but they are also part of our experience and when they have a hard time smiling at you when delivering a drink, there is something more to be desired. The restaurants and the staff were over the top fantastic (with the exception of the Barefoot Café). All the food was fantastic and prepared as ordered. The staff were very attentive and eager to please. Barefoot Café, not so much. Long wait times and subpar food with a somewhat grumpy waitress kind of turned us off. We also ordered pizza from the pizzeria – outstanding jerk chicken pizzas! The beach and ocean water are one of the best I have seen. We used our personal floats and floated for hours without any waves or people bothering us. There was a pelican that was fishing close to us and at times would splash us with its 20 foot dives into the water. It was amusing to watch it feed so closely that we didn’t mind getting splashed a few times. The resort grounds were perfect. Every blade of grass seemed to be perfectly manicured. The vegetation around the buildings are very tropical and lush. The beach is combed every morning to maintain it pristineness. This resort is close to Negril so you can take a short bus ride or taxi to Rick’s Café or Margaritaville. One thing you must do one evening is attending, and participate at, the piano bar. We had so much fun with the performer and the other guests, with singing a bunch of classic songs (from all genres) and joking around. The night will fly by!My GF and I toured several other resorts along 7 mile beach, and none of them compared to this Sandals. This is the place to be with your significant other in Jamaica!
Jessica!! We never got to THANK YOU for all you did for us wheel we stayed there, you were so sweet and amazed us with the room decor and you really made sure we were taken care of. We will never forget you, you're an amazing person. Sandals, Negril really surprised me, I had a preconceived notion of an all-inclusive vacation and this resort proved me wrong. I am an admitted hotel snob and I had stayed at a Sandals years ago in the Bahamas and it was awful, so I never did an all-inclusive again.I was here for a wedding that was being held at Beaches, so a few of us stayed at Sandals given that's it's adults only. The resort is great! The food was surprisingly good! I enjoyed doing all of the water activities. The water on the shore is not as blue and clear as some other islands but once you get out a bit further, it gets more clear. ***A little tip if you're a pina colada drinker - ask the bartenders to make them from scratch otherwise they serve it out of this pre frozen drink machine and it's awful. Our room was great and private, seemed really new and updated, we did have mosquitos that got into our room so we had to massacre them one night, so watch out for bugs! It's the nature of the islands. They made our birthdays incredibly special by decorating the room and we would get other decor surprises throughout the week. The only things I found a tad surprising is there is no room service, I think if you have a butler, you'll get it, but for a resort that markets itself as "A paradise to go for two people in love" room service in the mornings would have been nice for those days you just want to languish together. Our friends that stayed at Beaches had their rooms stocked with wine, etc. We didn't get that either, our fridge was only stocked with water, soda and juices. But, a minor complaint really. Our internet didn't work for 2 days either and I wouldn't have cared about that either except we were trying to communicate with our friends at Beaches about wedding activities. We also got to "see" some of the people from Hedo which is right next door, on Thanksgiving they do a "buttcrack tour" and show their very white goods to the world, you never know what life will bring you - LOL. All in all I was impressed and I would recommend the resort. I hear that Sandals Whitehouse is amazing which is a bit south of Negril.
We visited in November 2016. Our group had 18 people including the bride and groom. The resort was very clean and everyone was friendly, going out of their way to make sure you were doing well. There are 226 rooms at the resort. We had a garden view room. It had a hairdryer and iron. Our room did not have a phone, which I reported to the front desk. We never did get a phone installed so we used a phone at the excursion desk when necessary. A couple of us had massages. Vanessa was awesome at the spa.Water sports we used included a couch like tube pulled by a speed boat, snorkeling, kayaks and water trikes. The swimming area was roped off and included large floaties to relax on.Food was very good. Better than the usual fare we find on a cruise ship.Security kept the locals under close scrutiny. The beaches are all public so locals are allowed to walk on the beach selling their wares but whenever they were on the beach a member of security was close by to insure they were not bothering the guests.Sandals did have some local vendors in a public area for some days. They offered mahogany items, jewelry, paintings and the usual fare. We did go off property to Rick's Café which was about a 20 minute trip. Enjoyed the cliff divers and atmosphere there. You always check out with security when leaving and returning. They ask where you are going. The wedding venue was beautiful. The bride was very happy with everything involved. Flowers, reception, photos were very professional.Would I return? I love cruising and have only been to an AI twice now. Still prefer to cruise but would return to Sandals for a special event such as a wedding.
