Best Trip Ever

We loved the Beaches Resort!! The staff were extra caring and available for all our needs. U went over and beyond taking care of our family and supporting us having fun, fun and more fun. The facilities were super clean and gorgeous. We came here in 2006 and the upgrades were amazing. The food is delicious. I especially loved the new world themes and cuisine. The crapes were awesome. We loved snorkeling, holding on to the banana boat and paddle boarding. This is a must do for families. Try to do some stuff off the Resort for a real cultural experience and to explore the beautiful island of Jamaica. We will be definitely be coming back! Here is some of the wonderful staff that took care of us:Venicia- best housekeeper( check out her swan towel at the bottom) She cleans the room everyday!RyanDeanna from dinning- jerk chicken says hiKadyShandellFeliciaRolandoKristyLacy-AnnSheldonTanya

Great Vacation - Terriffic Staff

We stayed at Beaches Ocho Rios during the first week of October to celebrate our son's 14th birthday. To say that we had a wonderful time is not giving the comment justice. This is a beautiful resort with a staff that goes above and beyond expectations! The staff made our son's birthday a memorable experience. We want to thank Kayshean and Stacy from the Kids Club and Rushayne, the Activities Director. Along with others, they made sure our son was happy during our entire stay. Also, Stacey-Ann and Susan from the BBQ made our family feel that we were very special to them. Also, Shanna (omelette lady), Judi at Bayside, Elizabeth at Bayside, Deanna at Bayside and Venetian, Chadia-HTP and Wendy Anna and Randy at the main pool all contributed to making our stay extra special. Most importantly, we thank Johnathon from the Kids Club for being a mentor, friend, and big brother to our son for the entire week. He became a part of our family and we will never forget him. Needless to say, we will be back......hopefully soon.

So wonderful!

I don't even know where to begin! We didn't want to leave. We had our 1 & 4 year old in tow and it was so enjoyable. The Sesame Street show each night and the breakfast were fantastic! We will be back!

Amazing family vacation!

This was our first trip as a family to a Beaches resort and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! What an amazing vacation! We travelled in September which is the off-season for this resort. It was as if we had the resort to ourselves for the first half of the week. The kids enjoyed this immensely as they spent most of the time in the pool or at the water park since it was at least 32 degrees Celsius every day. Thankfully we didn't pay much attention to the forecast on The Weather Network as it called for rain/thunderstorms every day. We might have had a total of an hour of rain the whole week. I think what impressed us most about the resort was the service provided. The staff at this resort are amazing! You can really see the importance that Beaches places on customer service and it comes through unmistakably in the staff's attitude and friendliness. Some of the exceptional people (and I am probably forgetting some and for that I apologize in advance) we encountered during our stay:Rushane - My girls absolutely adored him. He is the heart and soul of the resort. Engages the kids, knows everybody's name (Tom Cruise/Tom Brady, LOL), brings the energy to all of the entertainment/activities Tamaya - the other half of the Kids Club coordinators with Rushane and another person my girls adored. Shantal - can't say enough about Shantal, our waitress on the first night at The Parisienne. When we notified her of our son's food allergies, she took it upon herself (without us asking) to have a special allergen-free dessert prepared specially for him so he wouldn't feel left out. This is the first time EVER that has happened. Romaine - Aqua Centre - always smiling and engaging. Knows everybody by name. Sheldon/Ryan - Aqua Centre - took kids out for first snorkelling experience. Ryan was an amazing guide. Showed us things we never would have seen on our own like a camouflaged grouper and a hiding moray eel!BBQ Park staff - Susan, Nashay, Necoriam and female bartender whose name I can't recall - so friendly and attentiveKemonette - always made sure we had drinks at the Water Park!Food and Beverage Staff - Florette, Anthony, Richard, Milton, Camille, Chris, Paul at the swim up bar and many moreJessie/Shana at the Front Desk As a family of five, it is very difficult at times to get one room that accomodates the whole family. We had the Caribbean Oceanview Luxury Suite Double. This was perfect for our needs. The ocean view was definitely worth it for us. I enjoyed getting up early and sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the view while waiting for the family to get up and get to breakfast! Beds aren't as comfortable as at home but they did the job.I would say the food was good for the most part. The sea trout dish from the Parisienne was spectacular. The Bayview buffet was good. Similar selections each day. The omelettes were excellent I thought. Neptunes was only open a few of the nights due to the lack of people at the resort. I found the food there to be good but I think my expectations were that it would be the best restaurant on the resort. The atmosphere/setting there is definitely the best though. The beach is small but, again, there was hardly anyone at the resort so it was like having it to ourselves. We didn't spend a lot of time there but it was nice.We took the kids to the golf course for a free one hour lesson with the pro there, Bill Williams. Bill was amazing with all three of them. A great teacher who made the lesson fun for them. When I ask my girls if they want to come back, I get a resounding "YES"! That's good enough for me.

Beautiful Place, Super Staff!!

My husband, myself & another couple just returned from Beaches resort. Stayed Sept 30-Oct 7th (quieter time of year)The minute we arrived, everyone was so helpful & happy to see us! We stayed in the Greek Beachfront Walk-out and it was perfect! The Beach is clean, the soft sand is raked each morning/night. We used the sailboats(Oshane & Romane were great & friendly), paddle-boards, kayaks, snorkeled off the glass bottom boat & everyone of the staff that ran this area was wonderful. My gf & I had a massage at the Red Lane Spa-it was great! The food was good at all the restaurants & buffet(breakfast/lunch) was stocked with fresh fruit & much more. Nickell, our poolside waitress was great(try the yummy Dirty Banana Drink)..I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE NAMES OF ALL THE WONDERFUL STAFF DURING OUR STAY..BECAUSE THEY DESERVE ANOTHER BIG THANK-U!! The concierge gals helped me celebrate my birthday by bringing flowers to the room, so sweet, which we took to dinner at Neptune's.The staff there were wonderful, too! We received a Catamaran trip with the purchase of our room. It was great, had a cool DJ aboard, line-danced, drank & lunch-went snorkeling off the boat & then hiked the beautiful Dunn River Falls(Don't Miss!). The staff on the boat were super, too. The other excursions we did: Golfed at Sandals Country Club(Caddie Fetzray was great! & the nice gal who drove the beverage truck), Did the 'Best of Ocho Rios' and it covered tubing the White River, lunch, zip-lining, driving side by sides through the rainforest & cliff Jumping into the Irie Blue Hole. A great deal at $169/pp. As you can tell, we had a blast & are already planning on returning next year! Also, the resort is located 1.5-2 hrs from the airport but the long drive gives you that chance to see the interesting area-from Banana stands to colorful characters selling 'brownies' :) This Beaches resort is the closest to the excursions, which makes it nice.Oh, we also took a taxi($60) roundtrip to Ocho Rios & did some tourist shopping. Warning; the store owners(not Jamaican), in which the driver must be friends with, are very pushy. Look for the Jamaican-owned! We bought Blue Mt coffee & Rum Cream-yummy. A Great Vacation-Kind, Beautiful Locals.
