Love, love, love Couples Tower Isle!!

We are in love with this place and the staff! First off, I can't say enough great things about the staff! They are so kind, so friendly, so helpful, we loved everyone! The staff was our favorite part of the resort!FOODThe food was declicious and there is a lot to choose from. Breakfast at the Patio Restaurant was buffet style and there's something for everyone. You can have your breakfast here or order continental style in your room. For lunch, you can enjoy buffet style at the Patio Restaurant or more casual fare at the Pool Cafe. The Pool Cafe has burgers, jerk chicken, fish, fries, onion rings, beef/chicken patties, nachos, popcorn, ice cream...etc. Bags of popcorn were perfect for taking down to the beach. There are 4 restaurant choices for dinner. We enjoyed Eight Rivers twice and the food was amazing! Be sure to bring a collard shirt, long pants, and closed-toed shoes for the men. ACTIVITIESThere are so many FREE activities! Snorkling, kayacking, sailing, scuba diving, glass bottom boat rides, excursions to Dunn's River Falls, shopping, etc. Were impressed by the number of activities the resort offers, all complimentary.ENTERTAINMENTWe loved the evening entertainment! There's always something to do, whether it be a show on the main stage or sing alongs in the piano bar. Our favorites were the Silver Bird Orchestra, Billy Joel (country singer), and the magician!ROOMWe had a Deluxe Ocean View room in Building 4 and thought it was great! The view was amazing, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of drawer and closet space, and the wifi was great in our room. I've heard some people have spotty service but we had great wifi connection all over the resort, including our room and down on the beach. The staff keeps your mini bar stocked and you can request special items all free of charge. My only compaint about the room would be that the bathroom was a bit small and the shower leaked all over the floor. It wasn't anything an extra tell couldn't fix, though. Housekeeping was GREAT! They kept our room nice and tidy, brought extra towels in the evening, fantastic service!BARI've read in previous reviews that the drinks can be a little weak but you can just ask for an extra shot if you need it. The blended drinks were some of the best I've ever had. Be sure to try the frozen Bob Marley. My only suggestion to management is to have a drink menu available. I had to ask around a lot to get ideas on what to try. GYMThe gym facilities were great! The main gym has plenty of hand weights, 2 elipticals, 3 treadmills, and some other weight cages. The yoga studio has spin bikes and plenty of mats, rollers, and kettle bells. I enjoyed doing my cardio + weights in the main gym and moving over to yoga studio for a little streching and rolling, it was fantastic!Again, thanks to all the staff who made this trip memorable. Special thanks to servers Delano and Candine. They were so amazing and stopped by to chat with us every time they saw us around the resort. Can't to go back and visit again!

Overall, we really liked the resort. Staff were excellent, food was tasty but I like vegetables to be placed on the side of my meat, not under it. So it was ok. Rooms were clean and well looked after. Aces for that staff. Activities need to be improved. Not all activities took placed as recorded on the board. Manyof the better ones took place on the Isle, where it was mandatory to be naked. Entertainment was too late at night, and to try and stay up was a hard thing to do.

Excellent experience!

Room was a little older, but updated and well kept! Food at buffet was good, at specialty restaurants was exceptional! Food at Bayside is quite spicy, so beware if you have a wimpy pallet....Eight Rivers restaurant was exceptional and then some! All the water sports, activities, entertainment etc. blows ANY Mexican resort out of the water!! [ we have done 10[?] different resorts in the Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta area ] Overall, resort is older, but again, well updated, clean and just 'nice'! The people who work here are committed- to both their Country and to hospitality! Truly friendly gestures abound! I want to make a special note of Chuty Ann at the Eight rivers restaurant - for her fun-loving yet professional approach to serving us a couple nights, Tenisha and Angeleke at the swim up bar truly stood out from the already friendly, helpful group of employee's / servers / staff in general...The activity staff kept us all laughing and occupied between everything else Couples had for us to enjoy!

Honeymoon for couple in mid 30's

I first off want to say that the staff gets 10 stars. They went above and beyond to accomidate me and my wife and are some of the nicest, warmest people on earth.(Name dropping time)From Jean in housekeeping, Everett greeting you when you get there, Ralston the waiter, Angelique the bartender that remembers everyone's name, and Fabian the water sports Master who went out of his way to greet us at every step. The staff gets an A+++Why not 5 stars you ask, it may be subjective, but to us the food got old. They got the same ingredients they try to repurpose at all the restaurants (its a shared kitchen of all but the bayside). Im from Chicago, and I am spoiled more then most. We have the best Beef and Food from all around and I was definitely missing from day 5 on. Saying that there were alot of Brits there that said it was the best food they ever had, so to each their own.Rooms are OK. water pressure is horrible but I wasn't expecting the ritz. The balcony servers its purpose for beautiful sunrises in the morning. Beds and pillows are one of the better ive ever had in a hotel. They have plenty of activities that I wish I could have taken more advantage of If it weren't for me and my lady getting sea sick on the glass bottom boat but if you do have sea legs the water staff is AWESOME.Nude Island give tours to the non nude in the AM. Its cool over there. Be warned however, you can see naked people from the beach, not clearly but you definitely can make out bare butts. Most of the inhabitants are 40 - 100 (well maybe not that old but you get the picture). The beach is well kept and big enough, I mean I don't want to walk more then a mile on vacation but that just me. Also get a Coconut with a straw from the veggie bar or from your seat (get a red flag). It is the Ultimate hangover cure. The other start doc is the 1hr 45min bus ride from the airport. We almost got in a few accidents since people have no clue how to drive and it is left side of the road driving. Not really our drivers fault, it as more the people on the road.Overall it was a nice time in Jamaica but it wasn't perfect. Its the most I ever paid for a vacation so im being alot stricter then my usual reviews

Anniversary getaway

We recently celebrated our 20th and had a great experience. We both highly recommend the resort. It has a beautiful beach and although the structure is a little older the staff and management seem to work really hard keeping the property up. Room was simple, clean and quiet. Service was good and we found the food to be well above average for an all inclusive. The resort never felt crowded and the entertainment was fun and lively. The only reason for not giving five stars is that premium spirits required an extra charge in the room. Not a huge deal but we were not aware of this. I hope that we have an opportunity to return.
