Wonderful retirement

This is the second visit to CTI and it was wonderful! We booked a Premier Ocean room that put us over the lobby making for an excellent location. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on our beautiful balcony while gazing at the sea. The service is excellent in all the restaurants and bars. Eight Rivers has excellent food and our server, Devon, was very attentive. The night we ate at Bayside it was quite windy as a storm was coming in. The food was good but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. The stand out for us was The Verandah. Our server, Jermaine Phillips, is the shining star at CTI. He took extra time to make sure all our needs were met and even chatted with us about the area. Jermaine also works at the Patio Restaurant. Make an effort to seek him out and enjoy you dining experience to the fullest. My husband played golf and raved about the course while I had a massage. Ask for Clover and you will enjoy your treatment. Promise! Last shout out goes to Evanard our bellman. I'm probably not spelling his name correctly but his is a JEWEL!!! Has an unbelievable ability to remember past guest. Wonderful gentleman. Looking forward to returning.

We loved our trip to Tower Isle. We stayed in the more newly renovated rooms and had a great view of the pool and beach. Love the history and retro atmosphere of this resort. The best part of this trip was the island. We did not ever want to leave. We met so many friendly people. The only downside was when the wind picked up, the island would be unavailable. We chose Sans Souci for this year, simply due to the fact that the island could possibly be closed. But both resorts are wonderful.

President's week at Tower Isle

We just returned from four nights at Couples Tower Isle. This was our third visit, but not our last. This is a wonderful, laid back, beachy resort. Here's a breakdown of our experience:Arrival: we were checked in promptly and politely at the Couples Lounge at the airport. There is a bar there if you are so inclined.Transfers: Within a half hour, we were on the bus to CTI with Triple R, our driver. He was very friendly and informative. Tip the red cap luggage guys and your driver. They are not Couples employees.Check in: was very efficient. We were "welcomed home" and given tropical rooms. We had a requested a specific room, a first floor one bedroom suite, but didn't get it. However, the third floor suite we did get was way better, so no worries. If you can, spend the extra money for a room with an ocean view. It's lovely.Room: we had a one bedroom suite (3316). The space has a living room, balcony, bedroom with jacuzzi, lots of closet space and a bathroom with a shower. Every part of the suite has a magnificent view of the water. The furniture is casual and beachy---lots of rattan. The bed was a king and very comfortable. There are flat screen TVs in both rooms.Housekeeping: Jean, our housekeeper, kept our room in impeccable shape and handled my request for an extra blanket immediately. She is a very sweet person and greeted us by name whenever we saw her around the resort. I have stayed in many properties, but Jean is the only housekeeper who bothered to remember our names. She is a sweetheart!Technology; Wifi was spotty in our room. We mentioned it to guest services and found it repaired with a new access point installed in our room.Food: the room service jerk chicken we had on our first day was excellent. We really liked our meals at the buffet, especially the Jamaican food. The plantains are great. Dinner at Bayside, the Thai restaurant, was excellent and romantic. My husband enjoyed the curried duck and I had the wok fried snapper. The pots de creme dessert was outstanding. The chocolate had real richness and depth. Valentine, our server, was a delight. Dinner at the Verandah was enjoyable, although I am not sure that I would order the stuffed chicken again. The plantain stuffing was a little too filling. The sides---rice, fritters, veggies---were the best part of Verandah. Delicious!Dinner at Eight Rivers was excellent. The peppercorn filet mignon was generous and flavorful. It tasted like grass fed, organic beef and the seasoning was just the right amount of spicy.Pool: we spent our time at the swim-up bar pool. We are not huge drinkers, but they play fun trivia games there. If you want a good drink, ask Angeleke to make you a hummingbird. She knows how to make a great one!Spa: I wanted a spa treatment, but some recent health issues have made massage off limits. LaToya sat with me and helped me pick out the perfect treatment---the express facial, which Tracia did an amazing job on. The redness in my complexion was visibly reduced.Entertainment: we tended to fall asleep early, but all the bands were good, especially Fuxsion.Overall, I have nothing but praise for CTI. If you want a relaxed and romantic vacation, this is the place.

25th Wedding Anniversary

This was our 1st trip to Jamaica and we loved it! This resort is beautiful clean and the staff are very friendly from the restaurants all the way to the maintenance staff. We loved the fact that we could order our breakfast in in the morning and enjoy it out on the balcony over looking the ocean. ( we upgraded to ocean view and it was worth it) We also indulged in the romance package with the private dinner on the beach and messages. The beach dinner was wonderful the waiter was very attentive. Spa is very nice and professional the couples message was relaxing. I also booked a hair appointment at the spa for the night of our anniversary which is when we did the dinner on the beach. The women did a beautiful up due! The pool bar is where we spent a lot of time during the day and Angelica was awesome always smiling and remembering what you like to drink! We had a lot of red flag days so we didn't get to participate in the free water sports that are available. The food was very good at this resort! The only downside for us is that the beach is short so no long beach walks which we really enjoy. We did do Dunn's River Falls through the resort it's included and it wad a lot of fun! Special shot out to Luke! He is a young kids that reminded me of my son, always seeing how things are going and big hugs when we were leaving! Luke is on the maintenance staff but so lovely with the guests! They have a professional photographer that walks around talking photos they are not pushy at all and you have the option to buy them or not with no pressure ever!! I thought it was very nice as I'm not really good at taking my phone or camera out with us. They have a room that you can review your pictures and decide if you want to purchase any of them. Again they do not push you into buying pics so make sure you take a look at your photos!

Fantastic Resort

We've been to many other Caribbean Islands and resorts, but this was our first time in Jamaica. We loved the Couples Isle resort. The food was fabulous and the deserts were absolutely amazing. They serve lobster at all of the restaurants on Fridays. It's a good thing they have a nice fitness center or we would have come home with a more than a few extra pounds on board. The staff at the resort were all friendly and hard working to the point of spoiling you. Excellent drink service on the beach, the beach was raked of seaweed constantly, and there's even a guy who goes around and sweeps the sand off your beach chair and brings a dry towel if you need it. Our room was clean, bright and beautiful. The entire resort was clean and well maintained. Nightly entertainment was excellent. The staff goes out of their way to keep things interesting by setting up all the dining and entertainment on the beach for a resort beach party on Monday nights, and patio dining around the pool area on Saturday nights. The resort offers several excellent free excursions such as a Dunn's river trip, glass bottom boat trip, snorkeling, catamaran, shopping trips, all free of charge. These would be quite costly if you had to purchase them separately like at most other resorts. The free airport shuttle alone is a great deal. We stayed at a different resort in Negril prior to our stay at Couples. We ended up paying $300 US in taxi fares. My only negative about this resort is that although the beach is well maintained, it is rather small and the bottom not very smooth. It isn't as nice as the Bloody Bay or 7 mile beach in Negril but there are no annoying beach vendors selling stinky cigarettes, cigars and weed. I couldn't include all of the really nice things about the couples or my review would have gone on forever. I will say that we enjoyed our stay so much that we can't wait to return and will recommend Couples isle to all our friends.
