First visit - but won't be our last

We arrived at the airport quite late and found the Couples lounge. They quickly gave us a drink and took us to the van in a few minutes. Only two couples on the van, but we had fun chatting and the time passed quickly. Reception at the resort was quick and efficient, and I think we were in our room within 15 minutes of arriving. Room was bright and clean with a stocked minibar and champagne!! First day we spent on the au natural island and loved it. Great atmosphere and friendly staff and guests. This was our first time doing the naked thing and it felt natural and was not at all intimidating. Entertaining games and swim up bar.All the restaurants and buffets and bars were fantastic, with top shelf drinks and the best food we've had at any resort or hotel. Truly a memorable experience. Be sure to do the catamaran (booze/party) cruise -lots of fun.We will definitely be back here

Another great visit to Tower Isle.......

This was our second trip this year. It was good to meet up with friends both old and new. Tenneille, KeriAnn, Anna Banana and the entertaintment team worked tirelessly to keep us amusted as the weather was not great. The CTI staff did a wonderful job keeping us fed and entertained and the resort beach clear of debris from the storms.Everyone from "Captain Kirk" (Senior Greeter lol) to the visiting Lee Issa (Chairman!) were their usually warm and friendly selves. Shout outs to two great masseuses, Taydeen and Christine, who turned a rainy day into a great day. If you haven't visited the Spa, do it....a very nice facility with good people. Cap'n David braved the elements to shuttle us back and forth to the Island with fine seamanship and good humor. Sanchez, Calmor and the all the fine folks at the Watersports also did a wonderful job and even took us out on the Hobies whenever they could. We look at CTI as our second home and, like staying with family that you love, we can forgive any trespasses. Sure, there are areas for improvement but CTI is an older resort that really has character and soul and is staffed and run by caring people. We saw they are currently refurbishing the rooms and we see building going on in the grounds for new garden rooms. We look forward to "going home" to Jamaica again next year with our trips already booked!

Lack of attention to detail; many repairs needed

While we had a good time as a couple on vacation, we felt that Couples left a lot to be desired. We were really looking forward to swimming and drinking and playing games on vacation, which we did some of. The pools were colder than we expected which was nice to swim in, but were kept a little bit too cold to be hanging out and drinking in the pool. Be careful at the swim up bar, there are bees and their sting hurts. The hotel made no clear effort to rid the area of bees or warn patrons that they were there. The bartenders were generally nice enough but sometimes were very slow and distracted by making drinks for themselves. If you asked for a particular brand of liquor, they usually would give it to you but often enough they'd just say "we're out" and made no effort to get more. The food was good overall. The breakfast and lunch buffet was cold every time, but the omelets they made were delicious so we had that instead. Three rivers and veranda restaurant were very good, but service was sometimes spotty. We went to three rivers twice and enjoyed the food both times. Bayside was okay food but the location was so worth it. There are special drinks on the roof almost every night which is a must-do; the drinks were good and the view was really nice, a good way to start the night. Our room was okay, we opted for the cheaper option of the garden view which was nice because it was more private. We often sat on our little balcony and were alone because no one was in the courtyard. The only downside is there is construction and the noise went from 7 AM until 10 PM just about daily. The shower knob was almost coming off the wall but it worked well enough. The room itself was cute, the bed comfortable and huge for the two of us. Maid and minibar service was spotty. Maid service often didn't come until late afternoon, 3 or 4 PM. Minibar service did not usually bring what was requested. It was very nice that the minibar service refilled the ice bucket each day. People in ocean view rooms complained of the noise of the pools and the constant refinishing of the side of the building, there were often construction workers entering balconies to do work during the day. It was not nice to see all the construction the whole time we were there. When we went to the beach we had thought that people's complaints about seaweed were unfounded. While the resort was trying to clean up the seaweed, that meant that there were huge piles of seaweed and garbage right in the walkway along with a large truck and a backhoe that drove back and forth across the beach from 10A until 6P. With things like the construction and the extreme seaweed cleanup, we often felt like we were in people's way - which isn't how you'd like to feel on vacation. We participated in a lot of activities around the resort and it was fun to have options, but sometimes we'd show up for an event and there would be no one in sight which is disappointing when you're looking forward to the activity. All in all, if you can get a good deal take it. Dunn's River Falls is a must, just don't get trapped by the merchants. Go kayaking. Go to the island. Go to Eight Rivers (there is a dress code!). Go to the piano bar (they have nicer liquor). Catamaran was fun, not our favorite thing but fun to do. The only thing we wish we did was arrange some of our own excursions in addition to the ones the resort offered.

Loved Couples Tower Isle!

We NOW understand why so many guests we met were repeaters. The room, food, services, amenities, activities, excursions, and staff were exceptional. Our room faced the front of the building and the balcony looked into trees, so it felt very private. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Housekeeping came twice per day, so we always had enough fresh towels and mini bar stocked. There were plenty of daily dining options and everywhere the food was OUTSTANDING. We enjoyed Eight Rivers (jeans and collared shirt at minimum for men, not really one for ladies- just keep it classy) and Bayside (asian fusion). During the day we would mainly graze at the veggie bar and get light sandwhiches or smoothies. Services & amenitites were great. Nicely appointed gym with weights and cardio. There is a separate studio for yoga, cycle, and TRX. This resort brings in visiting fitness professionals, so take a class while you're there. We did all the beach/water activities and found the staff helpful and knowledgeable- scuba, snorkel, windsail, SUP, kayak and Hobie cat. Equipment was in good condition. Excursions to Dunn's River and catamaran cruise were included in package. The staff was brilliant with well planned and fun activities day and night. We enjoyed the live music after dinner every night. Never made it to the au-natural island or spa. Cheers to the following- Tennielle, Caren, Keriann, Luke, Kayceann, Kamoi, Roberto, Gabriel & entire scuba staff, Emerald, Tonya, and reception staff. Bravo! Well done!
