Here's my story

So here our story.First off I was suppose to come down in October (2-6) but due to Hurricane Matthew my award ceremony that I was going to Oct 6-9 was cancel so we cancel the whole trip.So here how it all started-Arrived on the 13th of November and checked in. During the check in process they said I see you are here for 3nts. I said no I am here for 6nts and showed him my confirmation number. He says I see and fixed this so it will show for 6nts. I said I am not going to have a problem of being locked out of my room on the 16th am I? and he said no. So we continue on our merry way.Nov 14th-I have a site inspection at 9am. Kind of felt rushed during the site inspection but nothing I could do. During the site inspection we go over to the area where the so call nightly entertainment is. I said how do find out about this. She said we should of gotten the information when we checked in. Nope got nothing. So after the site inspection we went to the front desk and ask for the program. After that I stood to the side and watched them check in some more guest and they were not handling these out. So I walked back up and said to the front desk you should be giving these people the activities program. After reviewing the activities program I am shocked to see really only four shows for the week not every night. It was all about music. And the sitting area was not what we are used to at other resorts. Folding white chairs (like you would use in a wedding). Then maybe 30 people during the show call entertainments. I felt embarrassed. When I travel I don’t tell people that I am a travel agent cause I want to experience just like everyone else.We also went to the Vacation Planners desk-we signed up for two tours-one was the Dolphin cove at Ocho Rios (not the resort) for Tuesday and Wednesday the Catamaran, snorkeling, Dunns River tour. She said she would put our coupons in our room. No problem. We come to our room at 6pm and we have a letter from the Vacations Desk saying the Swim with the Dolphins time had to be changed to a different time (no big deal), but still no coupons so I called the Vacations desk and they reassured me that the Bellmen had them and will be delivering them. So we cleaned up and went to dinner and see the show. After the show we came back to the room and still no coupons. So we called the Bellman and they said they delivered them to our room. After 20 minutes on the phone and looking around there is no coupons. So we had to go back down stairs and have coupons giving to us as our first tour was in the morning. Oh and also the vacation desk said we see you are checking out on the 16th too and couldn’t do the one tour. And we said no we are checking out on the 19th and they had to call the front desk to verify this. Again I asked if I am going to be locked out of my room on the 16th and she reassured me that no they have the 19th of November.Nov 15th-go for our tours everything is okay we had fun at Dolphin Cove was there for awhile and enjoyed.Nov 16th-we do the catamaran tour, snorkeling, Dunns River. Have a blast. We come back and are soaking wet. We go to our room to dry and change (on the 15th floor) and we are locked out. So now I am not a happy camper and my friend is like wow, is this what really goes on. So we had to get back in the elevator and go stand in line with all the people checking in soaking wet and tell them we are locked out. They said yes they are checked out on the 16th. Okay so my voice is raised and I tell them my paperwork and receipt for payment is my room that you have me locked out of and I am here to the 19th of Nov. He goes check and sure enough this is his exact word-“OH” and gave us news keys. That’s it not that they are sorry or anything. I asked to speak to the general manager by then I was sent over to the desk to the left and spoke to the lady there. Voice my complaint and concern. That’s it. okay now I can’t wait to go home and my mine is changed that I will not put my clients in this resort.After getting all changed and dried we go get something to eat and decide that we will go back to the Vacations desk and signed up for one more tour. We asked for the Zipline.So they said we can only do this on Thursday the 17th at Mystic Mountain Rain Forest.Nov 17th-we get up and go have breakfast and go meet the driver for our tour. We are with maybe 10 to 12 other people and we go to the Mountain. Everyone is getting checked in by 2 and being called. Guess what-we are the last two and no one has called our name. They asked our name and to see our vouchers. After 15 more minutes of waiting come to found out the coupons were done wrong so all that had to be fixed. So again we had to wait and we are way behind everyone. What a day. So finally make it to the top of the mountain and we are waiting to zip line and we are talking to other people who are with us from the Moon. Load behold-they did not know about any entertainment either. Nevered received anything when they checking too. So we all talked and we told them about the beach party on Friday night and we were all going to meet there and have some fun.And here was my last straw-when we came back from our tour to go upstairs and change we walked in our room on our maid. She was using my phone charger to charge her phone. WHAT!!!!!!!!!! No way. She said sorry she needed to charge her phone. NO WAY!!!! I called the front desk right away. How do I know that she is not going thru my personal items. I feel very VIOLATED here. How do I know she didn’t us my lotions or anything. NO WAY!!!! I was done. No one followed up with me. How do I know she didn’t clean my room again the next day. Also not one towel art. I know that’s no big deal but I loved coming back to my room everyday at other resorts and see the towel art.Nov 18th-we just hang around and take a cab to go shopping. We come back to get ready for dinner and the show. There is no show cause of the weather but no announcement either. Nothing to replace this show nothing. There is no back up. Why couldn’t they adjust and do the show inside? This property had really fallen for fun. And then I came home on the 19th of Nov.

Excellent Resort

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the resort. The accommodations were wonderful. The staff was amazing. We especially enjoyed our meals at Momo's Teppanyaki Grill with Domonique, aka Kung Fu Panda. Our group could not stop laughing and the food was terrific. The spa was also one of our favorites; not to be missed.

Best time ever! The staff is wonderful, friendly, and makes sure everyone is taken care of and having a great time. Our favorite spot was the lobby bar! Kumari, Jerome, and Rayon were the night bartenders and a blast to chat with and make amazing drinks. Janice was the day bartender and is super sweet! Outside at the pool Clayton and Orain were also great. We had so much fun at the resort with everyone that we even skipped two of our "excursions" and are going back in February! Only con is that the resort is an hour and a half drive from the airport so pee before and don't drink too many rum punches at the air port!

We checked in to hotel. Very easy, Great people, having water issues gave us a replacement room. Wonderful, horrible internet. Goes off line all the time. Can't connect beck to the office. Will not come back ever

Great place to stay

The Moon Palace Jamaica Grand was a beautiful place to stay with impeccable service. The best service was provided by Xavier, Jermaine, Dwight, Nicolas, Dwayne, Tiger, Kevan, Francine (she has a beautiful smile), Tenisha, and Tamara. My only complaint is that the beach was small with lots of seaweed - we spent most of the time in the pool.
