Our stay was phenomenal and we were sad to leave. The staff was amazingly nice and made the vacation superb. Keymar and the lifeguards/staff at the water park were so friendly and caring to our children and us. The kids center and staff - Zoe, Diva, etc - were wonderful and loving. The evening entertainment every night was fun and enjoyed by us and our children. The six course dinner under the stars on Thursday night was absolutely delicious, as well as the meal at the Jade Samurai. Staff at the Coral Cafe gave the utmost service as well. The beach was stunning, clear and peaceful. We loved snorkeling. I could go on. Thank you for such a great family vacation!
This was our second visit & once again we had a great time. We were there when hurricane Matthew was due and the management and staff were organised and professional in their handling of the situation. The water park is a great asset and as mature adults we had immense fun every afternoon visiting here. There were a few changes since our last visit including more locals staying but we just mixed right on in with them, we were the foreigners after all. There also seemed a change in the food selection which I guess was to accommodate the locals tastes. No problem, still plenty to choose from. The pizza restaurant was excellent & the salad served was one of the best we've ever tasted. In the coral Buffett we were entertained each day by Wynonna (sprout lady)! and Olympia who were part of the chef's team. They were incredibly professional but enjoyed a good laugh with us. All the staff in the buffet were very good but special nod towards Shamille (choo choo), Ann-Marie, Leroy & Dean. Everyone was excellent at their job & seemed to enjoy their work. Kerrie-Anne in the Moonstone restaurant always looked after us. Shauness & Simone in the bars went the extra mile whenever they served us. We had a great room, no. 2235 with a fantastic view & a lovely comfy four poster bed. I did feel that the rugs could have been a bit cleaner but as only our feet were going on them, what did it matter really. We always had plenty of towels but did have to keep requesting face cloths & a shower mat. These were always delivered quickly though. Scott the GM was always around & at night the manager Ihenyen was so friendly and helpful. Good staff, good resort and good value for money.
My husband and I stayed a whole wk there from oct 9-16 and we had an amazing time. The food was great different options every day. Especially breakfast the best omelettes ever! This was our first time in Jamaica and the resort was wonderful. Mosquitos were a pin in the butt but the service was exceptiaonal! We were greeted everywhere we went and had an amazing time. They had a lot of activities for everyone including the Newley weds And anniversary couples! I loved the dinner under the stars with the reggae band. The staff were very nice and treated us with respect and were very friendly. Our drinks were always refresh every sec we needed something they were on top of things. We did shopping which was great and the excursion we went on was the dunns falls with the party boat that was a lot of fun! I would recommend this place to anyone we are actually planning to visit this same hotel but with the kids next year! We appreciate them!
First of all let's start with the staff, they are awesome . They will do anything you need and point you in the right direction of unsure . Some that stood out were kishaun( bartender) Jason he is the best bartender and is hilarious !!! Second food , breakfast at the buffet is good bacon, turkey bacon , sausage , eggs any way, omelette, pancakes waffles . Lunch buffet is okay the average and grill is always opened for burgers jerk chicken hot dogs and salads . Now dinner the sushi they need a lot of work it's gross !!! Japanese hibachi is good , good food great staff and entertaining . Platinum is good soups were always my favorite food is okay . We did venture off and go to flavours a short walk down the beach and got conch soup and bstwew fish , very good !!! Also went to scotchies it was sooo good loved it real jerk chicken !! Excursions -sweet Jamaica tour on Fridays was our favorite , with lady d and kelly! They were so nice . It says you get to make pottery but you don't some guys makes like a little vase then wants you to buy his stuff . But the rest of the tour was on point and worth your money! The negril sunset tour was the worst by all means , they were late picking us up then stopped at the so call bathroom stop made everyone get off bus to walk about the "big green apple" store ... All the stores they take you are not Jamaican owned . They must get commission to stop at these places !! Then when the bus came back it had another guy on that we dropped off in the town we passed through . It took us three hours to get to margarita vile which is not worth it . Guys come on beach to beg you to buy drugs and hound you it was horrible and non stop. Finally we leave there and they stop the bus at another one of there "stores" we're we had to wait an hour before leaving , no one was interested in getting off !!! Then we finally got to ricks cafe which was awesome with only 45 mins left to spend there , as soon as the sun dropped they rush you back on bus! On the way home the driver stopped twice on side of the road and talked these guys then we stopped again at a gas station !! So annoying three more hours to get home ! Too many shady stops and dropping some guy off! Massages on the resort were Great!! Don't miss the manager cocktail night on Thursday , parties are so good , all managers make appearance they are easy to find seems like it !!! Over all the resort is great , but there excursion company needs work !! Never on time to pick you up but rush you back. It's like you pay for a service that's not delivered !!! Water park is great! Landscaping is awesome Loved egg boy !!!
Rooms are ok, They often run out of wash cloths and towels. Food reminds me of Cuba .Not high quality food at all. Beach is beautiful with great options for water sports. Staff do their best with what they have to work with. Not enough for disabled people. This resort charges for the use of a wheelchair. There are no elevators. They have a lot of lame excuses for simple errors. I asked for a 7 am wake up call that came at 730. There response is they were calling and I did not hear the phone beside my head.... (fortunately I woke up at 0650)....but i heard the call at 730....(I know they did not call at 7)....I asked if there was no answer at 7 why did they not send a staff member to the room. their response there was no staff to send. They charge an unreasonable price for late check out.$15 per hour. Be sure not to book your vacation on one of their national holidays. They have a lot of local residents visit the hotel on day passes and they have full use of the restaurants and water facilities. I could not even get a table at breakfast. Food, dishes, cups and glasses were far and few. There was not enough staff to support the resort for this. I was very disappointed at this and to the point of teas. The resort did not even let their guests staying at the resort for a week or more know that there would be an increase in people at the resort. I feel this is not fair to us who have traveled a long distance and paid a healthy price to be there. This greatly changed my view on the resort. The general manager really does not care either.
