London, United Kingdom Vacations

London is a noisy, vibrant and multicultural world city and remains a global capital of culture, fashion, finance, politics and trade.
London is an exciting destination, whether it's the history, art, fashion, theatre, music, food or nightlife, you won't run out of things to see and do. The most popular tourist attractions include the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's and Tower of London while a great many more like the National Gallery, the British Museum and Hyde Park are free of charge.

If you want to visit a number of sights during a short stay, The London Pass gives you free entry to over 50 attractions within the city, as well as free travel on all public transport. The card is available from tourist offices.
Our Opnion
London, the largest city in the European Union, is both the capital of England and United Kingdom. It doesn't always have the nicest weather, but being from Canada, I guess we are used to that. London is a city full of many historical sites; a few of our favorites are the Tower of London and the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret's Church. The London Eye is a great way to catch a birds eye view of the city. A huge tourism city, each year London sees over 25 million visitors.

Dining & Nightlife
Modern British cuisine has improved greatly over the past few decades; but an absolute classic is fish and chips from a chippy (a backstreet fish and chip shop), while Indian curry is quickly becoming the most popular national dish. Eating out can be pricey in London but there is still a great range of options from an incredible variety of authentic ethnic cuisine in every area of the city.

London is famous for its non-stop nightlife. You can quench your thirst at a cozy London pub, sophisticated Central London bar, the pulsating nightclub dancefloors or while watching the match at the top sports bars.

Shopping
London is one of the shopping capitals of the world. The main areas are found along Oxford Street, as well as the fashionable stores of Kensington High Street. The higher end boutiques of Bond Street and vibrant street markets like Portobello Road and Camden Market offer lots of options to suit every budget. While a must see is the world famous halls of Harrods.
