Our OpinionThe Copacabana Beach Hotel in Acapulco is a great option for travelers looking for a resort with an amazing view and great beaches to wade in. The resort is staffed with very pleasant and knowledgeable guest services. This resort is best for either families or young travelers, as the pool gets fairly busy and loud throughout the day. This is a great destination for young resort goers looking for a great time during spring break.
Location: On the beach. Near restaurants, convention centre and discos. A 15 minute drive to town, 30 minutes from the airport.
Great hotel! Clean, great location, good food, great drinks! Love the pina coladas, good price! Definitely great choice, would definitely go back, I had the all inclusive and I think is really worth it
Copacabana beach hotel was not up to my standards. There are more cons than pros, for example they need English speaking people because every time I needed help there was problems with the communication. There was also a problem with the AC in the room which took a full day to repair and when we asked for a fan they said they didn't have one but I saw one behind the reception desk, when I mentioned that they had a fan they said they'll see. I eventually got a fan but the next day we spoke to the person In charge of reception and she told us that they had 5 fans in the hotel and she was surprised of the employees attitude.we switched from a standard room to one with a kitchen, they told us it was going to be ready at 1 pm on the date we requested it but we ended up getting it at 4 pm and when they told us it was ready The room was still being cleaned. I'm disappointed in the front desk services and costumer service. The Housekeeping was very good and for the Wifi my signal was weak when I spoke to the IT department they install an Antenna wright outside my room after the signal was Strong but every 4 min the network keep dropping the guys try their best but in the end I just got a local SIM card for my phone ,The beach was very dangerous and very rough and should not be an area to swim in. This is a 3 star hotel , I would come back if the quality of service was higher.
Kid friendly and family orientated resort. The worst thing is the hostile beach peddlers, and the Hotel security does nothing about them, despite ample security. Jacuzzi's are all cold. Wifi barely works and kicks your u off after 2 minutes. Hotel food is terrible. Minimal English speaking staff. As a couple we were woken up by screaming young children in the next room at 7 am. The good side of the hotel, are nice rooms, great views, and great water pressure. Highly recommended for families with children. Pool has hired entertainment team with games, etc. A children's free daycare/playplace. Pool bar has optional all you can drink for a good price. Across the street is a paintball park, laser tag, roller rink, and haunted house.
Well, having been to Acapulco now for almost 15 straight years, (12 of those at the Copacabana) I keep going back because the location, is easily the best in Acapulco, right in the centre of the Bay, right on the beach. Always get the All Inclusive and the food is always plentiful and fresh. Also, and this is very important, the Hotel is as clean as can be and if there is any problem, the management and staff take care of it right away. They do have a new entertainment team, while decent, just not the same without Alex and Chi, the new team speaks virtually No English (at least on the mic that is) All things considered, it is great value for what you pay and some of the wait staff in the restaurant such as Jose, Victor and Felix at the bar, are very attentive and provide great service. Two of the cooks Raul and Julian are great, always happy to see you and prepare great food. You can also walk to any bar on the Costera, within 10 minutes. The other disappointment, was there were some minor renovations going on while we were there and the main restaurant was closed from Tuesday to Thursday, as they were putting in a new Fired Oven Grill. Will be back next year or maybe a second time this year.
Extra charge for parking!.. Is not allowed to do an earlier check in.. so, has to go out to get some breakfastSnacks facilities have not a best quality either on preparation and tastePool area do not complain with hotel capabilities.Jacuzzi area even when is only adults, kids were also there, not even mentioned that water was freezing out.Rooms are deteriorate for the price
