Our Opinion
All Ritmo Cancun Resort is located north of Cancun, outside of the hotel zone. This is either going to be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. If you want be in town for shopping and nightlife, don't stay here. If you are look to just relax under the sun and stay away from the noise and crowds of the hotel zone, but still be close, this hotel might be the one. Good value for your money at this resort.

The kids will enjoy it

Overall, the resort has potential. The kids will enjoy the Water Park, which is pretty nice for a resort. Just don’t expect Disney World level. The staff is super nice and will go out of their way for you. Staff also do a tremendous job providing entertainment for the kids and families throughout, putting on shows at night and activities by the pool. This resort is secluded, away from the main strip of Cancun hotels. Since I was with the family I actually liked that. The beach area is pretty but not very big. If you’re not trying to go for long swims you’ll be fine. The V.I.P area is very nice. It’s on the edge of the resort and provides additional seclusion from the other vacationers. Areas for improvement:Pool towels should not require a card which if you misplace you have to pay $25. That’s ridiculous.I’ve never been to a hotel where you have to pay to use your room safe. Once again, ridiculous. WiFi needs to be upgraded throughout the resort. You shouldn’t have to pay for WiFi in your room considering the amount paid in all inclusive fees. The food was mediocre, even in the V.I.P (breakfast and lunch in the V.I.P was pretty good) They need a new head chef to revamp the entire menu. Also, it is inexcusable to be at a resort in Mexico and not be able to experience authentic Mexican cuisine.Even with these issues I still liked the resort and would return. I just think they have the potential to make the resort much better.

Budget resort ... Budget services

The saying "you get what you pay for" totally applies here.My wife and I decided to do a quick weekend getaway to Cancun. The price was right so we booked the hotel and flight. The All Ritmo is a budget hotel trying to look like a 5 star and failing miserablyThe hotel used to be a timeshare resort. It's older but in reasonable maintenance. We had a Jr Oceanview Suite. Balcony overlooking the water is beautiful. Couple plastic chairs on the balcony, no hammock or anything.Room was a small tv, king bed with very hard firm mattress, and a small love seat. Really nothing special. The food is lower quality with nothing Mexican on the menu or buffet. There was a dinner show that was excellent, but the good is only mediocre at best. You can eat it, but you're not going home telling your friends about it.There's also a restaurant you can book. Food there is very low quality and poor. Is supposed to be their upscale dining, but actually is same food in nicer settingThe staff is great and friendly and the bartenders are nice. It's what you expect from a 2-3 star resort. They advertise as the Sheraton, but you're getting motel 6.

First timer~ All Inclusive

Joined a large family gathering for a wedding celebration. Rooms were nice enough, clean and great views. The food was excellent. Lost of choices during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wait staff was awesome. Front desk very helpful. Lots of family friendly activities. We did have to complain our last night there. Incredibly loud music at 4:30 am on a Sunday morning. Security visited offending room a couple times before they turned it down or passed out.

Go with your eyes open.

First off, if you are coming here specifically for this resort and you know what you want and what you are getting, All Ritmo does a good job of providing for local based young family style vacations. This seems to be a place catering more to a weekend or long holiday stasy for local families than for a foreigners week plus resort style vacation. As far as any holiday club standard for resort offering, this just does not cut it. This place is SMALL.Entertainment is just about nonexistent , VIP restaurant is average at best and location immediately adjacent to a local marina limits swimming to a small roped off area peppered with large sand bags keeping you within safe limits. Staff was very nice, place is clean, service is fine. Please just realize where your are going and ratchet down your expectations accordingly.

Family Vacation .. Please do not stay here !

I spent a great deal of time reviewing this resort as i was bringing a total of 13 people to Cancun, the reviews were decent and the pictures were alright also. After spending a week in this place let me tell you, do not let the photos or price fool you. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The resort i already knew was small, but it is VERY small. I upgraded my room to ocean view which it was, view was great no complaints there.. but my family had 4 regular rooms, which you had to cross the street to get to. The water park is average.. again you have to cross a main road to get there. There is barely any security at this place, hallways are dark from about 5 pm - 8 pm some lights are off, we heard of people being pulled into dark corners by unidentified people. One of which was in my group. When the front desk was confronted about this they just said "sorry there is so many problems"Locals were allowed to stay at the resort, most guests were locals.Locals can actually buy condos on the resort to live there.... I actually got into a verbal argument with one at the lobby because he was mouthing off to his friend about my child who was running around playing, claiming he was going to fall down the stairs and no one was watching him, when in fact we had 12 sets of eyes on him, i literally yelled "where is security" and he laughed and said "call security all you want, i live here" and told me to leave the lobby. Not once did i hear management speak to him. Apparently because he owns more than one condo they told me to "leave it alone" They were telling me to leave him alone when he's yelling at me and my family profanities and trying to kick us out of the lobby.Well isn't that excellent customer service! The food was DISGUSTING, there was barely any choices, we literally ate what we did because we had to eat, we enjoyed very minimal choices at the buffet.. we heard from other travelers we met there that the restaurants were worse than the buffet and not to waste our time so we didn't.You could tell that they were pinching the portions, the trays weren't even full and they wouldn't replenish the trays until they were completely empty. All the juices were watered down. The bars didn't have drink menus, so we didn't know what to order we kept having the same drinks, some staff didn't speak enough English but i will say they tried their best to communicate.i HAVE to shout out some KEY employees...ALEJANDRO from the buffet restaurant - was simply amazing always making sure we had everything we needed especially my 2 year old son! TONY & DANIEL the bar tenders at the pool bar at night - AMAZZING service always smiling always ready to make us special shots and drinks they were greatGIOVANNI from the lobby bar, he was sooo much fun always making us drinks and coffeesThe entertainment crew were a blast they made the best of the equipment and resources they had, we had a great time with themDANNY, VANESSA, LUPITA, VICTOR THE DJ & MIKE The fact that there were soo many of us traveling together we had to make the best of our stay so we did enjoy each others company but the lack of Security and the extremely poor quality of the food will have me warning people never to visit this place. As far as I'm concerned this place is unsafe and should not be considered a Family resort, i spent 7 days scared for mine and my family's safety BE WARNED YOU WILL HAVE NO SAFETY WHAT SO EVER STAYING HERE, LOCALS CAN COME IN AS THEY PLEASE, MOST DON'T EVEN HAVE BRACELETS ON TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES! IF YOU DO GO TO THIS RESORT PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT WANDER ALONE!
