Our Opinion
All Ritmo Cancun Resort is located north of Cancun, outside of the hotel zone. This is either going to be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. If you want be in town for shopping and nightlife, don't stay here. If you are look to just relax under the sun and stay away from the noise and crowds of the hotel zone, but still be close, this hotel might be the one. Good value for your money at this resort.


All Ritmo Cancun Resort & Waterpark is an exciting family resort that, blending exciting activities for adults and fun events for children will provide a little something for everyone. The stretch of pristine white sand is ideal for sunbathing, jogging or practicing your favorite sport. A huge water park features water slides, games and other water rides that offer fun activities for every family member. This resort is an impressive vacation spot for those who enjoy both fun and relaxation, more removed from the hustle and bustle of Cancun.

Location: Located in Punta Sam, a 10 min drive from downtown, 20 min from Cancun's hotel zone, 35 min from the airport.

Nice waterpark, very friendly staff

Our kids (6 and 3) loved the waterpark and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything in the water park looked clean and up-do-date - not lost of rust like you find in some places. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Even on the last day when we had checked out and our plans fell through for the morning they let us come back for two hours so we didn't have to sit at the airport. The beach isn't great too be honest, it's small and next to a Marina. But the pools are excellent and the sand is perfect. Just not a lot of swimming area in the ocean water. We would consider returning.

Faulty Towers puts this hotel to Shame!

What can I Say; Faulty Towers puts this hotel to shame! If you like being insulted by Management GO, just for the experience.I wrote the letter of complaint below and they have not yet had the decency to respond;Dear SirsRE: Letter of ComplaintAfter enduring a 12 hour arduous journey from England, we finally arrived at the All Ritmo hotel on 31st August 2016 to be greeted by a lady receptionist who advised that we would be located across the road with a garden view, She went on to advise that we could take advantage of a special offer to upgrade to a sea view room for an additional $60 per night. One of our party could not afford to upgrade so we declined.The Porter was given our key and seemed very surprised that we were allocated room 312C on the third floor; there was no lift and it was particularly strenuous for me to climb all the stairs. He advised in broken English that we should request a room on the ground floor. The room was very small and dingy, set up for only one person. From the musty smell, It was obvious it had clearly not been occupied for a very long time, this was further confirmed by the nest of resident bats outside the window. Whilst this did not alarm me, my friend’s daughter was extremely alarmed.I rang reception to request alternative accommodation. I was put through to the Manager who refused my request informing me the hotel was fully booked. I explained to him that I would not be able to cope with all the stairs for the duration of our stay; I suffer with arthritis in my back and both knees.The manager asked me to come down to reception. On arrival he requested my booking confirmation. I gave it to him and he said “where on this do you state you are disabled” I told him I don’t like to advertise the fact and can usually cope if there is an elevator. I told him I had looked on the internet and saw other rooms where available. I then endured a very public, verbal onslaught from him. He had blatantly lied and was most unprofessional; It was like a Spanish Inquisition. He refused point blank to offer us any assistance at all, stating the only other room available had a king size bed and he would put the three of us in there.A most unpleasant and disappointing experience, highlighted by the fact I and my companions where extremely fatigued. He reduced us all to tears.I have never, ever, before found it necessary to raise a complaint but on this occasion your Managers behaviour was totally appalling. I was publically humiliated to the extent I felt we could no longer continue our stay in your hotel. I cancelled my reservation with you immediately through Expedia. I then had to arrange alternative accommodation and pay additional transfer fees. This was supposed to have been a once in a lifetime holiday for my daughter’s birthday and mine now sadly marred by this experience.I would appreciate your comments on the matter, in the hope you can restore my faith in Mexican hospitality.Yours SincerelyGeraldine StottI can say Expedia were fantastic. Thanksgiving Trip

#1: Room: We upgraded to a ocean view suite for $315 USD for 9 nights and we were very happy with doing so. The rooms are nicely painted and the beds rather comfy. The hot water is good - $2/day for the room safe and well worth it - rooms cleaned consistently late morning - some days they left a few beers and soda in the fridge, but most days just water (one day 4 bottles and most others 2 bottles for the 3 of us) - we had a first floor ocean view with a balcony, two wooden chairs, and a a hammock - I could see that some of the rooms would be loud because of facing the road and having traffic noice.......that would stink!#2: Food: a couple days I was highly please, but most days it was rather blah - Breakfast was consistently good for the most part - this was pretty much the worst part of our stay#3: Pool/Beach: the pool is rather small - the beach, although small in depth, is pretty nice and not one time did we have a hard time sitting a nice and quiet place - my initial opinion was not good, but it grew on me and I overall liked it#4: Water Park: my 11-year old daughter loved it, but in reality it's just 4 slides with only 2 different configurations - pool waiters there were quick to make their rounds and get you drinks#5: Drinks: dang, it took me a while to figure this out, but the first few days I had mixed drinks and they were not that good because they used their cheap local vodka - one night I noticed that the drinks quality was much improved...........they used Smirnoff this time, so the rest of the trip I requested that they use it and the drinks were SO much better#6: Staff: overall they were great - there is always one or two that don't like what they do and it's very obvious - one worked the bar at the water park#7: Location: my opinion is that it stunk - although it is only a $5 taxi ride to the ferry for the trip to Isla Mujeres.Overall: I'd say this was a 3+* resort - would I go back? Well, maybe for the sake of my daughter, but if it were just me and my wife.........ummm no - I didn't like the location and the food was very lackingTip: Use HappyShuttle for a private airport transfer - they were excellent and far cheaper ($60 RT) than anyone else

"Excellent Staff and Great Service an Unforgetable experience"

My family and I decided to stay in this hotel due to its traditional and antique landscape. It isn't very modern looking like the rest of the hotels which makes you feel you are in the beautiful country of mexico. This hotel offers plenty of activities for the guest such as kayaking, kids water park, Zumba, water aerobics, cardio, water polo, karoeke. etc. This place had free breakfast, free lunch free dinner and even free drinks! My favorite part of this hotel was the extremely friendly staff and great service which made you feel at home. Cesar the Zumba Instructor was definitely one of their greatest staff members who makes everything fun for everyone! Will be Back soon!

Decent resort, lovely lobby, nice view of the ocean

My husband and I stayed here after a week and a half at a 5 star so maybe we are being a little picky (keep that in mind) When we checked in the lobby was lovely! Through to the back you're right on the beach however half of it was covered in seaweed and other sea debris so it wasn't maintained that well. One side was decent but the smell was not so exciting.You can choose to get all inclusive, we didn't and I'm happy for that as I wasn't a fan of the food I saw. I would say a car is key to staying here or else you're going to be needing cabs all the time to get anywhere.The rooms were ok. They have what you need. The bed was not so comfortable but it was alright. The view of the ocean was beautiful! There is safe parking and it's about half an hour from the airport. Those things considered it was a 3 star.I only paid a little bit more per night for a 5 star so I question the value of their pricing.
