Our Opinion
All Ritmo Cancun Resort is located north of Cancun, outside of the hotel zone. This is either going to be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. If you want be in town for shopping and nightlife, don't stay here. If you are look to just relax under the sun and stay away from the noise and crowds of the hotel zone, but still be close, this hotel might be the one. Good value for your money at this resort.

All Ritmo Cancun Resort & Waterpark is an exciting family resort that, blending exciting activities for adults and fun events for children will provide a little something for everyone. The stretch of pristine white sand is ideal for sunbathing, jogging or practicing your favorite sport. A huge water park features water slides, games and other water rides that offer fun activities for every family member. This resort is an impressive vacation spot for those who enjoy both fun and relaxation, more removed from the hustle and bustle of Cancun.

Location: Located in Punta Sam, a 10 min drive from downtown, 20 min from Cancun's hotel zone, 35 min from the airport.

a nice beach get away

The facility was a bit dated; full of families from around the globe. Fun time. Staff was excellent. the beach and VIP area were great. the area attractions and the shows on site were fun and affordable

Resort stay

We are a family of six from ages 6 and 18 plus. Although not a luxury hotel, it was a decent hotel with everything we need. There's almost no reson to leave the hotel. They had food and activities for everyone. The beach was not the best but enough to be able to play in the sand and swim in the ocean. It was only a few steps away. Our hotel was ovelooking the beach. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It's our first time in Cancun. We stayed at another resort in the Hotel Zone area prior to coming to All Ritmo just to be near all the bustles and whistles. I wish i stayed at All R my entire week in Cancun. It was only 25 minutes away. We rented a car the entire week and parking was not a problem.

Good value for the money but not at all brilliant.

I chose the All Ritmo all inclusive resort primarily because it was to be my young daughter's first visit to Cancun and I told her she could pick. I chose 5 resorts with all inclusive options and out of the 5, All Ritmo's water park caught her eye as it had caught mine and so it became time to discover what All Ritmo had to offer. So ok, my other options were the Gran Caribe Real, which is my usual go to spot in Cancun, and then the Ritz Carlton, the Fiesta Americana and the Hyatt Ziva. All of these are in Cancun's luxury hotel zone and have a four diamond/star rating or better. So when my daughter picked an out of the way 3 stars hotel in Puerto Juarez I was a little concerned but like I said, I promised her she could pick the hotel. Although I knew beforehand that it wouldn't be my usual standard, I figured life is about being adventurous and taking chances, so we spent almost two weeks at All Ritmo... enough time to get a good feel of the place and to experience the difference between a 3 star resort and those beyond 3 stars where I had previously stated. So here is what I experienced... First of all, I was quite pleased and sometimes impressed with the food and the variety of food available. The common areas were always kept meticulously clean and the pool areas where small but quaint and nice. The beach, which was not as manicured and nice as in many other hotels in Cancun was still pleasant to look at but not nearly as pleasant to swim in. We resorted to going to some much nicer public beaches. The views from my window or the beach itself were not nearly as nice as others I've experienced but still they were beautiful... It was still a view of Cancun after all. The water park which became the focal point of choosing to stay at All Ritmo was small yet entertaining. However the water park was in slightly poor state of maintenance as one of the steps was loose and exposed a somewhat sharp edge on which anyone could easily hurt their foot. Also the pool by the bar had steps with rounded edges leading out of the pool which would have been perfect had it not been for the very sharp pointy rocks protruding from those rounded edges which cut my daughter's leg. Why would anyone put very sharp pointy rocks on a pool step's edge? I do not exaggerate when I say they were sharp. That was the last time we used the water park. The hotel's entertainment activities and their game rooms were for the most part lame and not alluring. The hotel did have free parking which was a huge plus for me and they did serve good all inclusive drinks for the most part, which I liked because I'm very picky about my drinks. Most sternly however, and although I definitely do feel I got what I paid for, the personal guest service and courtesy was very very poor which is the main reason I would be unlikely to return to the All Ritmo. Some of the male waiters mostly catered only to women in order to flirt with them. I do truly pay attention to those things. Others, mostly male waiters expected a tip otherwise they would ignore your table for the remainder of your stay at the hotel. Another issue for me was the female receptionist who tended to the main reception who was a very hypocritical individual. You can always tell when someone is faking courtesy and a smile. She was very unhelpful, unknowledgeable and unwilling to just answer any questions we had without suffering from some kind of personal complication or just passing the problem on to other staff. She was also very dismissive and condescending in a very discreet yet still perceivable fashion. Worst even, the bar staff at every single one of the hotel bars I had drinks at were just down right rude and also dismissive and seemed to have a big problem with being asked to make a drink which is what I thought was their job. Perhaps they also wanted a tip up front before rendering good service and actually deserving a tip or they felt they required a tip in order to render good service at all... I don't know. I had never experienced this at any other resort I'd ever visited. Lastly, there was an older gentleman who always wore a light green shirt and who I imagine was the hotel manager or was in some leadership position judging from his authoritative demeanor. Well, that individual was not only rude but annoying to watch. He never greeted us or most people, only attractive ladies not accompanied by men. Once we greeted him and he did not even reply or acknowledge us. He was always going around and in my opinion indiscreetly just trying to stand out and make himself look important in front of all the guests and staff. I'd also never seen someone act that way at any other hotel or resort I'd stayed at before. At other places managers were very warm and always greeting ALL guests of the hotel while managing to remain discreetly present, unlike this man at All Ritmo. My final take of the All Ritmo resort is that although it is a very nice place to stay and it does have a few really courteous people working there, and it does host a nice variety of amenities, it seriously lacks the qualities of professionalism, courtesy and customer service within its staff from top to bottom. I wouldn't stay there again solely based on the fact of how rude so many people act at that hotel, particularly the bartenders.

Experience The Real

It's been a year since I reviewed this property and so time for an update. There has been some changes, some good, some not as good, but there's one thing that makes this place stand out - the Staff. They are warm and friendly, and will make you feel at home away from home. The Entertainment Staff (and bartenders of course!), are particulary fabulous: Angel, Mimi, Mar, David, Cero, Enrigue, Beto (Did I miss one?) and they make sure everyone has a good time The resort is reasonably priced, and away from the Party Zone, making it a good place for families,.The negative would be that the food and such is just okay and some improvements could be made. Still highly recommended for fun.
