Our Opinion

The Beach Palace is a resort that speaks true to its luxury rating. The rooms aren't anything to rave about, but it's always well-maintained and immaculate. Some rooms promise great views of the ocean. Good cuisine to choose from with regards to both a la carte and buffet items. The resort is in a prime location. There are shopping malls and restaurants. Nightclubs and bars can be found a short taxi ride away. Ther resort team is amazing. They work to ensure that all guests are being accommodated and that their needs and concerns are being met. For travelers wanting a quiet and luxurious place to relax, this is the place.

Canadians at Beach Palace

We were two groups staying at Beach Palace, 4 adults, 16yr old and a 10 yr old. Everything was perfect. Our arrival and transport was excellent, the service was way above average which made our stay quite enjoyable. We met some very lovely people that worked there. Leonardo was at bar service on the skybar and pool bar. He was exceptional. Also our favourite animation person was Gustavo. He was energetic, friendly and upbeat. We looked forward to seeing the both of them everyday. Our room was 1210. The top floor middle ocean view room. I believe this was one of the biggest rooms. It was awesome. I must mention that the food was delicious and plentiful. The shining star of the resort is the Asian or Japanese style restaurant. We will all be craving that food for a long time to come. We ate there three nights out of the six, and we tried almost everything. You will not be disappointed when choosing them for dinner. All the food, drinks, desserts, coffee and snacks and room service foods were wonderful. Beach Palace is first class, and they try hard to make your stay perfect. We would love to go back just as soon as possible. We have heard that April and May are lovely for beach swimming. See you there!!!!

Perfect Hotel

My wife and I have just returned from the Beach Palace Hotel, having spent two weeks there and our advice to anyone considering going there is to totally ignore any negative reviews on this or any other website. All the staff at the hotel are so helpful and friendly and willing to go that extra mile to accommodate you. We arranged the holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and a special mention must go to Norma Ramirez the public relations manager, who made our stay very special, Thank you.The food and service were truly outstanding, all the staff remembered your likes and dislikes and the service was prompt. The resort was VERY clean, the Lagoon view from our hotel room was beautiful and the room surpassed our expectations. The bed was very comfortable, the hot-tub was clean and the room was large. There with a double sun lounger as well as a table & chairs on the balcony the the fridge was stocked daily, coffee maker and optics as well. We ate in the WOK , the Steak house and the Italian restaurants and the food and service was excellent in them all and we never had to wait for a table. The beach is outstanding and spot less with plenty of sunbeds, I read a review prior to going where a person complained of the seaweed, suggestion, Man Up Mate !!. The roof top pools are where we spent most of our late afternoons, with outstanding views and a relaxing ambience. We visited the Moon Palace for the day and our initial impression was impressive, however we would both much prefer to stay at the Beach Palace. We would both like to return to the Beach Palace and would highly recommend it, overall the best hotel we've stayed at.

A smaller Palace with a great beach!

My husband and I have stayed with Palace Resorts in Cancun quite a few times over the past 5 years. We went to Le Blanc for our Honeymoon (it was absolutely serene!), Moon Palace Sunrise, Playacar Palace, Moon Palace Grand, and took day trips to Beach Palace and Cozumel Palace with the kids. This was the first time we stayed for a full week at Beach Palace. It's much smaller than the other hotels (although Playacar Palace is not huge either). Over the years we've also upgraded our membership a couple times so now we're Diamond Members. Even before we became members at all, Palace Resorts had the best service, amenities, shows, and all inclusive dining options I'd ever experienced. We stayed at a Ritz Carlton (a brand that's I've always associated with the best quality) in the States, not to long ago and I was actually a little disappointed that they didn't live up to the Palace Resorts level I've become accustomed to! I must be pretty spoiled! Here's the lowdown on Beach Palace in Cancun, it's not the flashiest, or the biggest. If you want a huge spa, waterslides, high-tech game rooms, brand new and state of the art designed rooms, or more top notch food selections than you'll have time to try... then stay at the Moon Palace Grand (or Nizuc, Sunrise, ect... which all connect to the grand and have a lobby to lobby bus). If you want a beautiful beach and the same amazing service that you'd find at the other Palace Resorts, but right on the Hotel strip in Cancun, then the Beach Palace is perfect. Highlights of the Beach Palace are: 1. The breathtaking views of the lagoon and the ocean. This hotel is surrounded by water, and the view from the rooftop bar, gym, and swimming pools were incredible. 2. The beach. It's big, well cared for, clean, lifeguarded, has lots of seating with umbrellas and cabana's, and has a great wait staff that bring drinks and food to you. They even hatch sea turtles in a small protected area on the beach. If you're lucky enough to be there for a hatching, make sure to take part! 3.The restaurants are what I've come to expect at Palace Resorts, very very good (especially for an all inclusive hotel). Each restaurant (there are 4 of them for dinner) had at least one or two dishes that I would have gladly eaten every night because they were so good. If you get the chance, try the spicy tuna cakes at Wok! The room service even had some surprisingly tasty (and healthy) dishes, such as the Asian chicken salad. 5. The number one reason my husband and I go back to Palace Resorts every time is the people who work there. They go above and beyond to make sure our stay is excellent. Luftikey was our diamond concierge and took care of every request for us. When our two year old's eyes lit up at the balloons she was carrying to an event, she surprised our little girl with balloons, a banner and a card at our bedroom door! Ysidra and Jose were On It at the pool and swim up bar! Our cups were never empty... even if we were only sipping ice water and apple juice. The play room at the Beach Palace is pretty small, but the smaller playrooms have one advantage over the larger and ridiculously high tech Moon Palace Grand play room (which is worth taking the lobby to lobby bus to, if even just to see for a day); the staff in the smaller play rooms get to work more directly with the kids which is where they really shine! They plan all kinds of fun activities from crafts to games by the pool, and the kids love it. The rooms at Beach Palace are not as new or newly renovated as the other properties, but are certainly not shabby! Ours was spacious and comfortable with a huge balcony. The spa is small, but they do offer great massages and a full range of salon services. Between the three of us, we had two mani-pedi's, one haircut, and two back massages in the spa. It was great! Lourdes, Louisa, and Minerva were awesome! In the restaurants we had excellent service from Mirnabel, Antonio and many others! The sommelier at the restaurants also did a great job! We especially enjoy trying different wines with dinner while on vacation. We tried a different one each night; the Dry Creek Zin was my favorite. It takes talent to give impressive service at a buffet!, but even the breakfast buffet had amazing service thanks to Aaron, Diego, and the rest of the team! Ceasar greeted us every day with a smile at the guest services desk and accommodated even my most ridiculous request... After the first night, when the little one stole my pillows and all the blankets from the bed in the middle of the night, I requested a huge amount of bedding. My bed looked like an overstuffed marshmelow with 8 pillows (some scented!) and 3 blankets from then on. Every person at Palace had a whole team of people working along with them to make sure that everything went smoothly all the time. So it's impossible to name every person that made our stay great. Our room was spotlessly clean, despite the large amount of sand that our toddler unintentionally carried up to the room every day.One of the many perks to having an upgraded membership is having your favorite drinks and snacks put in the room before you arrive. That's on top of the already great amount of drinks and snacks that are provided. I figured the mini bar would already be stocked with my favorite soda and some juice boxes for the baby, but was surprised that a cheese platter was delivered while we went to dinner the first night. My husband didn't request it, which means someone from Beach Palace must have looked at our guest profile and seen that I make a habit of ordering a cheese platter almost every evening while on vacation.... it was really good cheese too, especially the cheddar! We didn't take advantage of it on this trip (because we had our 2 year old and did not bring the grandparents), but resort credits cover everything but tax on things like scuba diving, snorkeling, exploring Mayan ruins, ect... On this trip, my husband, me, and our rowdy two year old just swam, read some good books, made sand castles, and ate a lot. It was quiet and relaxing. We could have stayed up to 8:30 or 9pm and watched the shows, but the little one likes to wake us up at 5 am for early morning swimming so we went back to the room after dinner each night. One other thing that I should mention, in light of the growing speculation about safety in Cancun and surrounding area, is that we always feel safe at the Palace Resort properties. Alert, but friendly, guards are on the Palace properties 24-7. Because they are as friendly as the rest of the staff, I often forget that they are even security guards, but they are always around, carefully watching to make sure everything is safe. When I read about the recent problems with the liquor or something maybe being put in drinks at the other hotels I was really shocked. I've not seen that kind of thing at the Palace properties. I have, however, noticed occasional shady things Outside of the properties... not too different than I've seen in the US. But at Palace and with the tour groups, Aqua World water excursions, and other things Palace has lined up for us, we've never had, or seen, a problem. On a previous trip, when we had 5 kids and 7 adults in our party, we had to call the 24/7 Physicians several times (for a virus that had been going around my older kids' school and must have reached the end of it's gestation period for them mid vacation)... and my 9 year old somehow cut his foot (a superficial minor cut) while dancing barefoot in a crowd of older kids at the pool party. Every time, the medical staff was efficient, knew what they were doing, and were extremely helpful. I'm pretty impressed that with how many times we've been to Palace Resorts, how often my kids are usually sick or get hurt (they're a rough and tumble bunch), that we haven't had more problems. My family and I plan to return to Cancun and the surrounding area at the various Palace Resorts. The excellent service, wide range of activities, good food, and overall great vacations at Palace keep us coming back!
