Starting off by saying sorry for the long review but it will help you a lot if you are staying there. Breathless is only a 15 minutes drive away from the Cancun airport which is a bonus after a long day of travelling. Don’t let the road off the highway to Breathless scare you as its pretty bad & looks like you are on a road to nowhere. I arrived at hotel at 12:30 but only had to wait for my room till about 2:30.A quick tour & lunch took that up. My room was in the Allure section (4319) there was only 1 floor above me which would make for a better view. The area my room was in was perfectly located close to the spa & gym, all the restaurants, café & main bar area, Wink. I was on the same floor as the showstopper theater & the Nightclub which is only steps away. Its in the middle section to Xhale & Xelerate. Xhale is a zen area & an upgrade to the Xhale club. Mostly all rooms have full or partial view of the ocean. The Allure section is central to the entire resort but be prepared as its the centre of all the action and noise, bring a sleep aid if you are a light sleeper. I was OK in the area as I like noise before I sleep. All rooms come with an Android Tablet & the resort has free WIFI which you can access via the tablets. At your bedside you can control your room lights & temperature. It sits in a charging base at your bedside. All your daily activities & restaurant menus are all here, so no more paper sheets printed for over 500 rooms a day which saves the planet. You can preview a menu before eating out too. This is the first resort other than the Burj Al Arab in Dubai to offer this service using Ipads. So if you don’t want to take your tablet or Ipad for occasional email checks this is ideal. There are lots of TV channels to choose from (English & sub titled Spanish) The Beach is kept very clean & every day the staff rake it & move sand to areas that need it. You can walk far along the beach past a number of hotels & private condos so for the beach joggers its great as well as safe. I always pick up plastics that wash in on the shore as I fear it will go back out to the ocean and hurt marine life. Pick up as much as you can please! Please bring grocery bags to pick it up as there is lots that flow in. If you see a white flag on the beach it means Jelly Fish warning so be careful. All restaurants offer healthy eating & vegetarian. Bites: Open during the day & offers small portions of foods from Chicken Wings to fresh non deep fried Vegetarian Spring rolls. You can order as much as you like, don’t over order as you fill up fast. At Night, Bites turns into The Strip Grill. They offer great steaks, chicken and plenty of sides. They also have a vegetarian menu. My favorite all time waiter there was Willie. He works hard & deserves his tips….very close & also funny is Alex as they play back & forth with each other on who is the best waiter. It opens at 6PM and some nights it may be closed so look on your schedule in you rooms android device. Its an open air restaurant not on top so you are safe from the rain but if its cool bring something warm to put on. Silk is the only restaurant that requires reservations & you can only do it daily from 3:30pm at silk in person. It offers an entertaining chef for a table of 8 people and they have multiple tables but don’t forget to book. You can also eat there & order off a menu so make sure you make that known to the staff there Spoons is a buffet style restaurant that’s open from early AM till 11PM & offers all 3 meals of the day including a detox juice bar, Smoothies & a sushi bar. Coquette is a French menu, Spumante is Italian. Picante is Mexican. Picante is also the late night buffet after 11PM where you can get midnight food, Burgers, Hotdogs, etc. Kibbeh is open for an order off the menu breakfast & also lunch & its by the ocean. They serve each lunch order with Guacamole & Chips & Salsa all made from scratch. The Beach Front Grill is on the beach of course & has a fresh bar b que every day & is at the Xelerate area. When the above restaurants aren’t enough….lol… there’s 24 hr room service at No Charge (Tips are always appreciated) The wines served are from Chili & are more than acceptable for the wine drinkers taste , but you can order higher end ones off a list that cost. The main hangout at night is The Wink Bar which was right under my room & outside the Restaurants Spoons Picante, & the gift shop. Some nights they had a sax player, a violin player, 3 nights a week the bartenders juggle bottles which is fun. Most nights DJs in which they would activate the dancing fountains. The SPA is amazing and the largest I have ever seen at any resort. The water spa is $35 if you don’t have a Treatment that day & included a Steam Sauna Infrared Sauna, Water Spa & Hot & Cold Tubs, Frieda offers the best Neck, Back & Shoulders rub ever. I made 3 trips to the spa and liked it there.I stayed for 10 days there & didn’t want to leave. A great adults only spot to go toMost Notable staff:Front Desk: SusanSpoons: Miquel and ArturoWink Bar: Isai, David, & Cesar Kibbeh Restaurant: Carlos and Jose in the xhale areaBites: Willie and GraceXhale beach area: Francisco & GevinoBeach servers: Charley BoySpa: FriedaWater Sports: Julio who is in charge of water sports offered free at the resort Beach Sports etc: Oscar PS The resort also has a room allotment for people with small dogs
We just spent a week at Breathless on a work related trip. The service and special attention from all of the employees is above par. The resort is the cleanest we’ve ever been. Employees are always sweeping, mopping, polishing. The food was also above par for an all inclusive resort. Kibbeh was by far our favorite restaurant. Guadalupe and Enrique treated us as if we were their long lost friends. Samara was always checking on us throughout the resort to ensure all our needs were being met. We will definitely be back.
Located in Puerto Morelos this is a all inclusive stunning hotel, with very frendly staff, amazing fond, cleaning rooms and pool's areas.Be prepared for many sleepless nights due to the wonderful parties where you will find a lot of new friends. We spent here a wonderful, relaxing holiday, full of happy moments! If you want to visit something, you should not miss Chichen Itza a huge archeological site built by Maya civilization and the wonderful beaches of Cozumel.Vamos en México!
We are always hesitant about staying at “chain” type resorts but this one was the best yet. The service was outstanding. Food was great. Frida in the spa gave me the best massage of my life and I’ve had a LOT of massages. Andres in the buffet area was so accommodating and very genuine. He made our morning everyday! Charly Boy at the beach was so friendly and never let our drinks go empty. The Italian restaurant and wine selection was 5 star- we ordered several bottles of the Caymus with Alonso their sommelier. He was great! The rooms were very clean and modern. The only complaint I have is the music in the morning is extremely loud. We were in a swim out suite right next to the beach bar with the swings and it was impossible to sleep in. There were only 3 people maximum participating in Zumba that early so having the music play that loud was very annoying. It’s vacation- people like to sleep in especially considering this place has more of a night life/party scene so no one is up that early anyways. Other than that, great place!!
2nd time there. Won't be the last. Very clean, modern, great food, great staff...they just need to keep more fruit at the champagne bar. Nobody..but, nobody puts cucumber in champagne. You get a Mulligan for that one.
