Our Opinion

A great family-friendly resort. The Crown Paradise Cancun has tons amenities for kids as well as great children's rates. This hotel will take 5 guests in a room. The beach here is nice and they also offer an adults only pool for those who want to get away from the kids. Their a la carte restaurants are wonderful and grilled burgers are a treat at 2am! Probably not 4.5 stars as most rate it, but still a great hotel for families.

Excellent hotel for children!

We booked a 4 night stay at Crown Paradise Club Cancun specifically because of their "baby paradise club" option. I have a 2 year old and he was in excellent hands with the baby paradise club staff. Both the "baby paradise club" and the "kids club" offer the option to drop off the child/children at 9am and pick up is at 9:30pm. Other resorts will charge an additional fee, but it's part of the accommodation at Crown Paradise Club Cancun. They provide the parents with beepers so the parents can be alerted at any time if you need to come pick up your child for whatever reason. They have a fabulous built-in waterpark which my 2 year old was very happy about and I noticed other children ages 4-12 years old were thrilled to be sliding down the water slides from the pirate ship. Very fun! There's also an adult-friendly water slide and zip line in a different area of the resort, but we never had time to explore those. The food is decent for an all-inclusive catering to families. I used to work at a higher-end all-inclusive resort so I can honestly say the food was a 5/6 out of a 10. Many of the options in one night you will find the next day in the general restaurants. We checked out one of the "adult only" restaurants and found the food in the Italian restaurant to be ok, but nothing to recommend. We were able to utilize the baby paradise club in the evening to have a nice night out at one of the restaurants, but once we came to the restaurant 2 families had their small children with them. So, be aware that even if it says "adult only" restaurant, there can be children present. The rooms are sub-standard and my partner had to talk to the registration staff numerous times to get a room that was not smelling like mold and not next door to construction. We ended up with room 1620, on the 6th floor, at it was on the corner with a large balcony. It was spacious and at the end of the floor with a lot of privacy. Two times, during the day, construction could be heard which was annoying, but it didn't extend into the evening. We had originally booked a standard room, but asked to upgrade and for less than $100 we upgraded to that room which we were happy with and added 2 more nights to our stay. My best recommendation is to check out the rooms when you arrive and if they are not to your liking to definitely ask to see another room. It's an older resort, but it's obvious they are trying to improve the outside and inside of the resort. Overall, highly recommend the resort if you have small children, like we do, for their trust worthy staff!

Great place for kids

So glad we chose this place. The service everywhere was great. From Marco at the front desk, to all of the chambermaids, to Hamlet and the entertainment staff, the kids club Staff....everyone was friendly and helpful. All the bar staff in this hotel were quick and were able to make so many wonderful drinks for me and the kids. Angel at the mainpool was very attentive and made sure we didn't have empty glasses. The entertainment in this place is non stop. Poolside fun for all ages, nightly shows (my fav was the magic show) and great activities for kids at the kids club which gave us adults time to enjoy the adult only pool. The kids club area was very safe and the staff made sure all the kids were well taken care of. The games room and movie theater were also helpful in keeping our boys busy. The adults pool had a swim up bar and music as well various activities such as Jenga and volleyball. Nice to get away from the screaming kids now and again. Get there early if you want a nice cabana area to lay down and soak in the sun.We started off on the 5th floor but the rom didn't suit our needs so we paid to upgrafe to a great room on the 2nd floor but this was quite noisey at night. So finally ended up in another great room on the first floor which wasn't as noisy. Overall the rooms are clean and can't say I saw a single bug in any of the rooms we saw. There are many restaurants. I'm a little picky and so are my kids so we had trouble trying all the different foods. There is soo much variety at the buffet and many restaurants so we did manage to find something to eat that was suited to our tastes. I did prefer the stirfry at lunch time and the mexican restaurant was my favorite. The kids stuck to grilled sandwhiches for lunch and hot dogs or burgers for dinner. I'd say the food is average, some things were better than others but I'm sure you could find a few things to eat for each meal. The beach is beautiful, well taken care of and the sand is wonderful. Lots of chairs to use and lifeguards on duty as the water can get very choppy. This is not a luxury hotel, but for a family it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend it. My only complaints would be having to change so many rooms and the cost of losing a towel card is $35?? I've stayed at many places around the world and this was the first I had to be sooo worried about my towel card. Would prefer not to have to carry around extra cards. Other than that it was a great vacation.

Family's First All-Inclusive.

For our family's first trip to Cancun and the first time at an all-inclusive with two kids, we decided to make Crown Paradise Club our home from Nov 14 to Nov 22.

After a mercifully short ride from the airport we were greeted by our enthusiastic and very helpful bell-hop Rene (I hope I got that name right) in addition to a round of welcome refreshments.
A fast, friendly and efficient check-in (kudos to the terrific front desk staff as well as the Concierge) and it’s off to the room (warning - the time share flock circle the lobby and tend to swoop in on confused looking tourists like myself - be wary of clipboards and tales of “special breakfasts” and “souvenirs”).

Our standard accommodation was in need of some minor tweaks (chipped floors, rock-hard mattresses and overall bland appearance) but it suited our purposes well enough and we never felt the need to demand another room (plus, our wonderful housekeeper Mary did a bang-up cleaning job, whipped up some super-cute “towel bunny” art and our fridge was re-stocked with refreshments daily).

From there, it was nine fantastic days of beautiful swimming pools, a gorgeous beach with wonderful, warm ocean water, mini-golf, tennis, mechanical bulls (thank goodness for padded floors), water-sliding, souvenir shopping (we stuck to the resort-based stores as the aggressive “market” sellers in the lobby were off-putting), Aquapark action, zip-lining and wall-climbing (huge thanks to the amazing efforts of Elias, Rubenz and Octavio), nightly live shows (Micheal Jackson tribute was the family fave), a visit to the El Ray ruins to hang with the iguanas, a wildlife photo op and all the food and drink we could handle.
Speaking of food - While breakfast (and most lunches) found us enjoying the wide variety and excellent service of the La Palapa buffet (Alejandro, Jesus and Alexis took great care of us), our evening ritual involved dining a la carte style (Wayne’s Boots, La Piazza, Los Gallos, Fishermans).

While we enjoyed them all, the family favorite was Los Gallos - tasty Mexican cuisine, fun atmosphere, excellent service (I should mention, ALL of the restaurants had terrific wait staff), delicious beverages served by an enthusiastic bartender at the restaurant entrance and a talented, lively Mariachi band.

Now, the drinks - during our stay, of the many available watering holes, we frequented the poolside bar, the beach bar and the main lobby lounge (and it’s reverse side - the “Collage Bar”). No matter what our drink of choice (premium liquor beverage, wine, Cerveza, colorful Disney-themed kids drink) it was always served with a smile by the wonderful, lively and attentive bar staff (Rogier, Ivan, Gabriel and anyone else who served us whose name I sadly missed/forgot - you all are amazing)

.When lounging by the pools, we met our rock-star poolside servers Araceli and Joel who never let us go thirsty while soaking up the Caribbean sun.

Of course, with all of this wonderful indulgence, we greatly appreciated having an onsite fitness facility to put those extra calories to good use.
Finally, our check-out day arrived. Although it seemed to come far too soon, it was quick and painless (again, thanks to the efficient front desk staff).

Ultimately our first all-inclusive family holiday was a hit. Thanks to everyone at Crown Paradise Club Cancun. We can’t wait to see you again!

Excellent

This resort is the perfect get away for any family. ALL staff in every area takes excellent care of you from room to restaurant. They work very hard to make you feel welcome and make your stay the best. The food is delicious, many activities from morning til night. The beach is clean and gorgeous. The rooms are nice and I suggest the bunk bed kings if you have children. Thank you to everyone at the Crown Paradise club in Cancun Mexico for treating us so well and making our stay unforgettable.
