Our Opinion

A great family-friendly resort. The Crown Paradise Cancun has tons amenities for kids as well as great children's rates. This hotel will take 5 guests in a room. The beach here is nice and they also offer an adults only pool for those who want to get away from the kids. Their a la carte restaurants are wonderful and grilled burgers are a treat at 2am! Probably not 4.5 stars as most rate it, but still a great hotel for families.

Great Resort, Very Kid Friendly

We stayed 4 nights at this resort and was very happy with the place. The room was just an average room, nothing special but it worked fine. Every room has a balcony with a nice view of the ocean. Of course the higher floor equals the better view. The food was pretty good, there was plenty on the buffet to choose from. We tried the different places around the pool at lunch, again you could always find something to eat, plenty to choose from. Pools and beach were very clean, always something going on for the kids around the pool. The kids water park was a nice touch, had plenty of water slides and things for younger kids to do. The staff at the kids area are amazing with the kiddos and very friendly. The shaded pool right outside of the kids area is pretty neat, something different to try if you are tired of the sun.Only compliant we had of the resort were the reservations for dinner. We called every morning and could never get through, were always on hold until we gave up. One morning they told us the only time they had was 9pm, then when you walk by the restaurant at 7pm there was not hardly anyone in there eating. It was kind of aggravating.Overall this is a great place to stay for families with kids. This is not the place for single adults looking to party or people looking for a romantic vacation.

Good Family vacation- Food was not good

So there were 15 of us and we stayed 9 days in March. Most of the family seemed to do OK with the food but the buffet was not good. There was something off, We managed to eat pastries and fried eggs and smoothies, that they made to order, so that was good. Like I said the rest of the family ranging from 3-72 years old ate and found something at eat meal. The Japanese Restaurant for lunch was the best and the pool side snack shack had options for the kids. i think my 3 year old lived on ice cream, french fries and rolls. There was something so off on the milk that for daily milk drinkers, going 9 days with out milk was rough.Other than poor food, we had a great time. Pool and beach were clean and fun. Kids had a blast playing all day, adults got to relax and the drinks were fine. The adult pool side was quiet and peaceful, if you get a chance to take a break..haha Kids swimming Paradise was fun. There was some concrete work in the indoor pool in the middle of the day that was loud. It lasted for many hours for several days and was loud and annoying. But I think the pool had a leak so they had to fix it...The staff was very friendly and helpful, we originally had a 2nd floor room over by the buffet in tower 2 and had 2 full beds and a view of the palm trees. We asked to move to a king room with a better view and the next day our room was ready and we moved to room 1451. It was very nice and had a great view.Never had an issue with the time share people, one day they asked for my name and I said no and they never bothered me again.Shows were fun, Iguana walk in the mornings was fun.Overall, except the fact the food was not really great we all had a very fun vacation and liked the hotel.

A nice stay!

We went to Crown Paraduse for 11 nights with our family of 6 (mom, dad, 5 yr old twins, 2 yr old twins). We had the Crown Paradise Family Suite. I had a hard time deciding what star rating to give this resort as there was so much good, but the cons were real big. So I gave it a 4* with it broken down below. CHECK IN / OUT : our experience went smoothly and quickly with no issues. The time share people are like sharks and the second you check in they are attacking you. Every time we were approaches we politely but firmly told them we weren't interested and kept walking. Some followed us and kept trying so then we just ignored them.OUR ROOM : the Family Paradise suite had plenty of room for us with a king bed, a double and a double bunk with trundle. There was a patio with 2 chairs. The beds are extremely firm and the pillows lumpy. Thankfully i had read other peoples reviews and brought my own personal pillow. The room was old and in need of repairs and updating but none of it affected our stay. The one big downer is that there is NO tub in the room. That made it real difficult with our 2 yr olds.HOUSEKEEPING : our room was dirty and not made up when we arrived - a simple oversight of a forgotten room. The manager had the cleaning staff come immediately and within an hour it was ready for us. Julios was our chambermaid for the majority of our stay and was excellent. We tipped the majority of the time. I cant judge if this improved our service or not but our room was always done up by noon. The one downer was that out of 11 days, only twice was our mini fridge restocked. A few times we called and requested water for it, only twice did they come. We always had to go to the bar and ask for bottled water. Once we had to go to the store and buy it.SERVICE: the service here from almost everyone was exceptional. Everyone was happy, quick to serve and please and very friendly. Theres too many to mention but the names that stand out are Israel, Gil and Angel in the buffet, Julios our chamber maid, Toni (i think that was his name) and his staff at Waynes Boots... the one place where the service was awful was the woman on the phone to make the restaurant reservations. She was rude and curt on almost every call we made. FOOD: the food at the resort was OK. We never went hungry but there's lots of room for improvement here. The breakfast buffet is wonderful; the food was always fresh and plenty of selection. The lunch buffet we didnt enjoy and so mainly ate at the pool side snack bar. It served kids favorites of fries, hot dogs, burgers and nuggets. The supper buffet was hit and miss. RESTAURANTS : We got to enjoy 3 of the restaurants. ITALIAN : this place was awful both for food and service. All 6 plates were bland and watery, no flavor at all. The desserts we couldnt choke down. The service was not friendly and it seemed a chore for the waiter to serve us. WAYNES BOOTS: we cant say enough good about this place. We got to eat here 4 nights and every night was fabulous. The food was excellent with plenty of choices, service was quick and friendly. FISHERMANS : dont waste your time even trying to make a reservation here; its awful. The menu is limited and the food was horrible. We ended up leaving our food and going to the buffet for supper. MEXICAN: this restaurant was incredible for both the food, service and view. Sadly we could only get in to it once. The portions are small but you can always ask for more, or enjoy appetizers and deserts to fill up.POOLS AND ENTERTAINMENT : we stayed at the main pools. Everything was fun and clean. Water is cool but do you really want a hot pool in +30? Water balloon fights, exercises and loads of other entertainment. The one downer was everything was so loud. They need to turn down the volume.KIDS CLUB : our 5 yr old twins enjoyed playing a few times at the Kids Club. Staff were friendly and seemed to truely enjoy their jobs. Lots of activities. Our 2 yr olds didn't like the baby club but that was only because they didnt want to leave us. BATHROOMS : i need to mention the bathrooms because this was one huge con. Theyre filthy and stinky. The one in the Kids club isnt fit for even animals. I walked in there and there was poo everywhere, toilet paper all over the floor and it stunk awful. The staff need to pay more attention to the bathrooms.BARS: the service is good and quick. We are non drinkers and so can only comment on the "virgin" drinks and kids menu. Plenty to choose from. They do need to blend their drinks more; the ice was never broken up very much. All in all we had a great stay. We all did come down with diahrea and upset tummies. But this could be from the heat, change in food (we don't eat much grease or pop at home) or from simply being away. I would recommend this resort to people with young families. If your kids are over 12 yrs, id suggest you go elsewhere. The only reason we wont return is because we rarely travel (this is our first big trip in the past 10 yrs). So when we do travel we want to see different places of the world.

AMAZING Service, was like no other....but....

We were there with our 3 kids for one week in April 2017. The service provided by Israel and Rubicel in the buffet was service like myself and my wife have never recvd. Both of these gentlemen were very very good at what they do. They are true professionals and we will never forgot the attention we recvd from them. They really turned out trip into an excellent experience. We seen them at breakfast and lunch everyday during stay. The rest of the hotel is 3 stars at best. AC issues in the room. Public washrooms very dirty. Hotel windows dirty. Furniture was dirty. Food was pretty good. Pool area average. Beaches were good. I would go back just to receive the service as mentioned above. The service was so superior to all other resorts that We have been to that I have no choice but to rate as 4 stars even with the negatives.
