Our Opinion

A great family-friendly resort. The Crown Paradise Cancun has tons amenities for kids as well as great children's rates. This hotel will take 5 guests in a room. The beach here is nice and they also offer an adults only pool for those who want to get away from the kids. Their a la carte restaurants are wonderful and grilled burgers are a treat at 2am! Probably not 4.5 stars as most rate it, but still a great hotel for families.

Whether your definition of holiday fun is lying on a beach sipping margaritas, dancing the night away, snorkeling among brilliant schools of fish, or exploring the spectacular ruins of the lost Maya civilization, you'll find this and more at the spectacular Crown Paradise Club Cancun! This superior resort prides itself on excellent, courteous service. Serving you varieties of gourmet dining, amazing pools and even a waterpark for children, enjoy it all at this elegant resort.

Location: Directly on the beach, 30 minutes to downtown Cancun and 10 minutes from Cancun airport.

We love this place!!

This was our 17th time visiting Crown Paradise Club Cancun and it was our best trip yet. The food in every restaurant including the buffet was amazing - we left every meal stuffed. The bars and lounges were well maintained and provided comfortable places to hang out. The rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful ocean views. The gym is well maintenance and equipped. The greatest part by far, however, was the staff. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the bell hops Isaac and Emilio were warm, friendly, and very helpful. In La Palapa, Victor, Hector, Sergio, Alfredo, David, and Geronimo worked tirelessly every day to make sure we had everything we needed without having to get up from our table. In Wayne's Boots, Antonio went out of his way to greet us and make sure we were taken care of even though he was not our waiter. The bartenders Gerardo and Gabriel were consistently attentive and friendly. The entertainment staff consistently makes this hotel worth visiting. Jesus runs his staff extremely well and has clearly worked hard to make sure there are activities for everyone throughout the day including karaoke, Zumba, and casinos at night. While dealing for poker night in Trafalgars, Tony was very friendly and fun to spend time with. Brandon worked hard by the pool to make sure everyone enjoyed the crazy games and sports. From the day we arrived, Paco was great leading trivia and activities by the pool while cracking jokes to entertain the guests. Elias was fantastic in the shows and went out of his way to warmly greet our whole family every day. Alex Avila was incredibly friendly and worked hard to make sure all the guests were having a good time. Jack led the trips to the nightclub and even though we weren't interested in going out he came over to talk to us every day and see how we were doing (without ever pushing us to attend the nightclub trips). This is not to mention the countless staff members who work extremely hard every day to maintain the hotel and keep it clean and functioning while still greeting guests warmly and with a smile. There are not enough good things I could say about Crown Paradise Club. If you're heading to Cancun, it is definitely worth visiting.

Excelent to go with kids

We spend a week at this hotel with our girls. This is of the fewest hotels I know that they have a baby club (you can leave your baby for siesta time or to play), Dulce and Paula are the sweetest girls with them and they give the best care for babies. My two older girls love to spend time at the kids club, everything is so well organized, they have lots of different acrivities per day for them. They can either make a craft, cook, play at the water park, play basket ball or watch a movie. All the staff at kids club is awesome.Foor at was ok, nothing great, but pretty good. The buffet for breakfast was pretty much the same every morning, but lunch and dinner was different day by day, what makes it good so you dont get bored. My girls loved eating at "La Palapa", cause they had all the ice cream they could eat for lunch or dinner.Service was prerry good in general, from bar tenders to waiters they were always attentive. What I could say bad about the hotel is they dont have enough shades for the pool, they should consider adding some more. If you are planning to go with your kids, this is a pretty good place to go with them. I would defenetly recommend it, due their kids and family activities.

I feel like I was duped!

Traveled to this "all inclusive" from Jan 9 to Jan 20 with my wife and four children. The hotel was nice and the family suite we had fit our needs. The BIG disappointment was with the food. Their website claims"large gastronomique selections in a la carte specialty restaurants". Not true. First of all, there are about five restaurants. The problem is that it is nearly impossible to get reservations. You are required to call the Reservations Desk from your room between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The phone is constantly busy (and probably just off the hook). After three days of trying to call, We had to go to the front desk and get the Manager involved, who managed to secure reservations but would only do so for two days in advance. When we finally went to one of the "specialty" restaurants for dinner at 7:00 pm, the place was only half full and remained so until we left around 9:00. This was true for each "specialty" restaurant we went to. We were constantly encouraged to go to the "buffet" restaurant, which was always crowded. So, here's the scam-they offer "cuisines ranging from oriental to Mexican, French, Italian, steaks and seafood, but they push the buffet as this is where they can make the most money. The specialty restaurants lose money. Skip the Steak house restaurant as my sirloin was as thin as a "steak um's" and as tough as shoe leather. My kids were actually laughing as they couldn't cut their 'Choice rib eyes" with the steak knives provided. We skipped The French Restaurant as "coat and tie" recommended for men. Who the hell brings a coat and tie to go out to dinner in Cancun. The other restaurants also served sub par food. The third day into the "buffet dining" I decided I had had enough tacos, rellenos and burittos and decided to do the fruit and salad bar. BIG MISTAKE. Apparently, fruits and vegs are contaminated by rinsing in the local water so I spent two days with MONTEZUMA'S REVENGE!They offer a zip line for the kids which only operates from 9:00 am to 10:30 am due to a lack of staffing. The basketball courts require a deposit to use the basketball and the kid's game room is inefficiently run and requires a deposit to do almost everything. Did I mention the presence of armed Police and Federales with AK47s walking the beaches!

Just average in most respects

I have read all the "Amazing" reviews and have to admit I am struggling to recognise them as being applicable to the place I have just stayed at.I guess any review is relative to your other experiences and all I can say this place does not compare favorably with my other experiences in Cancun or the region. For those of you who have booked however i would not overly worry - there is nothing desperately bad about the place and both the staff and entertainment team work their socks off to make your stay more memorable and for that reason alone you will be ok here and if like us, you focus on the positives not the negatives, you will have a good holiday. For me the place is drab and in desperate need of a facelift. The food is generally of a low standard and I can honestly say I did not have one decent meal while i was there. The buffet selection while varied, was always a struggle for me and even the themed restaurants lacked quality. The sunbeds have only fixed shades so its impossible to select a bed by the pool that will afford you and your young family protection from the sun when you want it. It is a question of picking your bed and waiting for the sun to get to a position that the fixed shades will protect you. While on the subject of picking your bed - you have to get up early - despite the pool policy being the opposite, the beds are all reserved come 8 o'clock. Even beds next to the signs saying no reserving of beds have towels on them and no one enforces the policy.I read also comments on the beach being wonderful - again I accept this is dependent upon what you have experienced before but I have to disagree it is wonderful. While we were there it was covered in seaweed and yellow flags out every day due to the waves. For me it is neither a beautiful beach nor is it family friendly given the chop on the sea. There are far superior and safer beaches in the region. As i said though - its not all negative - we made the best of it while we were there and had fun. In the main that was due to the energetic and hard working entertainment staff who made it fun. Brandon was fantastic as was Angel and Isai - Isai is sadly no longer there but it was he, Brandon and their colleagues who made the difference. Also the waiting staff make a difference - always smiling, always happy to serve you and if you find some one named Angel you can't go wrong. Angel who kept us supplied with drinks by the pool was the best pool waiter I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Angel in the buffet restaurant the same.It was the staff who made our holiday - not the hotel - and for that reason alone I give this a 3 star rating. If it were not for the entertainment team or staff I would rate this 2 at best and suggest you look elsewhere. As it is - you can be sure you will have a fun holiday because of the entertainment and staff as long as you accept the shortcomings of the hotel, food and beach. To the management - be thankful you have a great team - if that's down to your people management skills then well done! - if not you're blessed by having such great people work at your hotel.

14 Day Family Holiday.

A great family resort even if it's showing it's age around the edges. Resort : A large resort with 5 pools (2 general, 1 water slides, 1 covered, 1 adult and one kids only). Staff were great, courteous and always helpful. Any maintenance problems were resolved quickly and within 30 minutes. Food : There is a large central buffet serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evenings there is a themed menu for each night. Amazing choice and our waiter Raphael made sure we were looked after for the whole stay. There are also 5 themed restaurants (Fish, steak, Italian, French and Chinese) our favourite was the Fishermans made even more special with the farewell cake. Kids Club : for our two (7 & 12) this was the highlight. The staff are amazing and keep them entertained with foam parties, balloon twisting, films and parties. They then go on to run the evening shows in the theatre, where they get their energy from I don't know. Shout outs to Diana, Renata, Alfonso, Duce, Karla, Indra and JennyRooms : our room was very comfortable, with two double beds, tv, coffee maker and most important for the kids USB charging points. The bedding and towels were changed daily and the service was first rate. The aircon was powerful, which was needed in the height of summer, but was a bit noisy. Beach : beautiful white sand beach attached to the hotel. Loungers and towels provided and the bar staff will make frequent checks to make sure you are well watered. Make sure you wander by on your way to bed, we were lucky enough to see turtles coming up to lay eggs. It was great to see the staff keeping the over eager tourists away and protecting these amazing creatures. The most important question, would we come back ... a resounding yes.
