Our Opinion

A great resort. The team in this resort is incredbly friendly and attentive, especially the waiters in the restaurants and those serving guests on the beach. It can be guaranteed that your plate will always be full and your cups will always be filled with this kind of team. The pool area is great as well. There is no shortage of loungers and umbrellas available. The resort does has a tendency to get a little noisy at times, so this is definitely a place more suited for those who like the lively aspects of Mexico.

Fantastic hotel - Will defintely go again!

We stayed here for 5 days for my husbands birthday January 12-16 and I would definitely go back. It is all inclusive including wine, beer and alcohol. We were on the 6th floor, Room 659 in the Sea Tower. It had been totally remodeled with a balcony and great view of the ocean. The beds were very comfortable (there were two of them) and each bed had 6 pillows! The small refrigerator was stocked everyday with water, soda and beer at no extra charge. The walk-in shower had a rain shower head and was so large that 4 people could have easily fit inside of it. The layout of the hotel is great and even though they are doing remodeling on the moon tower (which that tower is currently closed), the noise did not bother us. There are two huge pools and the top pool is heated with an infinity edge that overlooks the second pool and swim up bar. I signed up for a massage with Carmen and requested it be done on the beach. They have special huts for this and she was wonderful. Also, Josue, was our concierge and he was FANTASTIC! He answered all of our questions, gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us where all the restaurants were & helped with our excursions. We ate at the Italian, Steak, Mexican, & Asian restaurants at night and thought the food was great and everywhere the service was wonderful. During the day, we ate at the grill, the buffet and the hut with the fish/shrimp tacos which were superb. I would pass on the pizza hut though. It was just okay. My only complaint (and it is small) is that at the steak restaurant you must make reservations and you can only do this between 2-4 for the next day. So if you are away from the hotel, this is hard to do. I know this is a family hotel and we were worried that there might be a lot of kids but maybe because of the time of year we went, there were almost none. Also, almost forgot to mention the shows that they have at night at 9:00pm. Don't miss the Michael Jackson show and the Fire show!

Good trip!

My family all decided to go there for New Years, and we had 3 rooms. Upon check in, we were disappointed to learn my room would be on the other side of the hotel, and 2 rooms were side by side. However, I got the better end of that as my room was great, in the un-renovated side! The other 2 rooms were on the side currently being renovated and they had nothing but issue after issue. Rooms aside, all staff are amazing, the food was fantastic. We especially all loved the Asian restaurant. It was a shame most restaurants closed earlier than we liked, but once we figured that out, we adjusted our schedules and it worked! Beautiful beach, nice pools, and the New Year's Eve beach party was fantastic, a family memory for sure! Thank you!

Wonderful experience

Absolutely the best all-inclusive resort my wife and I have ever experienced. We were treated like royalty from check-in to check-out. Mr. Montemurro and Mr. Montalvo are personable and engaged managers, and we often saw them circulating about the grounds interacting with staff and guests alike. It is the commitment to service that sets this property apart from others. Without exception, every single staff member we met was courteous and attentive. We cannot thank them enough! Our room was beautiful with a nice view and a balcony. Olga kept the room so immaculately clean that one could have eaten off the floor without worry! We especially appreciated the nice decorations and personal touches. The evening turndown was nicely done by Dolores as well. The food was excellent in all the restaurants and the service impeccable. Special thanks to Chef Josue for going the extra mile on some of our "cravings". He clearly loves his job and takes great pride in preparing world-class meals. If we had the income we'd hire him away to be our personal chef!Felix and Carlos at the lobby bar were always ready with quick wits and great drinks. Even during busy times they kept the atmosphere fun and the drinks flowing. Very skilled and dedicated bartenders. Our daily routine took us poolside and Mr. Jose Cacique took beverage service to another level entirely. After the first drink ordered and delivered on day one, we NEVER had a drink run dry and never had to "flag him down". I'd be halfway through a drink and see him approaching with a new one. I don't know if he's clairvoyant or eagle-eyed, or both, but he made us feel like celebrities. Thank you so much Jose! Also, Ignacio (Nacho) kept us well-shaded by constantly moving umbrellas and even brought cold towels for our neck/shoulders. Both men worked very hard, always in great humor and with ready smiles. Jose and Nacho, we will seek you out next visit! Uriel and Itzel did a great job involving guests with poolside entertainment and activities, and their positive attitudes were noticeable. The only downer was noticing a decided lack of tipping on the part of many guests. Apparently many guests hailed from "no tip" parts of the world, and even during CHRISTMAS decided to stiff the staff. I would suggest FACC include some wording alluding to "Tips are not required, but appreciated by our hard-working staff" on their print/online advertising. We didn't sample everything we could have, as this was an exploratory trip for us. But everything we tried was top-notch. Bien hecho FACC! We will be back!!

Second visit exceeded expectations, again!

We loved it last year and even more this year! The restaurants still serve incredible meals, the staff is so friendly, and the resort clean. The hotel is being repainted on the outside, rooms have been remodeled, and there are new lounge chairs. It was nice to see that the resort made all of these improvements, but it is the staff/service/food that makes this resort a great value. Claudio is so sweet (and hard working!) and was so very attentive. Manuel is always smiling! This is the first time that we have re-visited the same resort and we were SO pleased. My three boys are already talking about a trip there next year. We travelled both times during "high season" but it never felt overcrowded. We dined at Tel Amo the last night and the steak was amazing!! (My husband is a tough critic and he is still talking about how great our meals were!) The beach and pool area are very well maintained. We have recommended this resort to friends (who loved their stay) and are recommending it to family members without hesitation!

Good for a corporate meeting...not so much for a vacation.

This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort and I am sure there are lots of subtleties I missed – so read my review with that in mind. The property is quite large and well maintained and on a very nice stretch of beach. The pool area is expansive and had lots of places to find some peace and quiet. Beach towels were always available. Overall I found the food to be good and the service friendly and efficient in the restaurants. Note that reservations are required for the steak restaurant and that once there, the waiters will be pretty aggressive about up selling the up charge menu items – took a couple of firm No Thank You’s to put that to rest – kind of annoying. The resort did a poor job of helping me understand which restaurants were open when and what each offered. The beach grill was just that at lunch but turned into an oddly Asian restaurant at night. I never found the pizza restaurant. The restaurant map I requested from the front desk did not align with the actual restaurants on site and/or listed on the website and it was only in Spanish. The front desk also never mentioned the entertainment/shows at check in. I never figured out room service. I had to call the front desk to get the wifi password. There is definitely a need for more of an “orientation” at check in to allow guests to take full advantage of what the resort offers, which is considerable. My room appeared to have been recently updated – very clean and modern. It was however, very small and lacked any outdoor space. I assume this was based on the low end room category I was assigned since some rooms appeared to have nice balconies. I had a glimmer of an ocean view. There was no coffee maker in the room. The beds were comfortable, but there was a mattress pad and a feather bed on top of a pillow top mattress and the whole effect was a bit suffocating – too much stuff to deal with. The thick “down” comforter was total overkill for the tropics. Each bed had 6 full sized bed pillows and while nice to look at, getting rid of them when it was time to sleep was an effort. The overall effect felt like the hotel was trying too hard to provide comfort and ended up just making it harder to go to bed. The bed was a fail. Late afternoon “turn down” service was just odd. The housekeeper would arrive with 2 bottles of water and then empty the trash, refold the wet towels, turn on some new age music on the TV and rearrange the 6 pillows on the beds, but not turn down the beds. I read about the bathrooms before I arrived. The bathroom is open to the rest of the room! The toilet and shower are in separate frosted glass cubicles, but when stepping out of the shower, you are in full view of anyone else in the room. The same is true when standing at the sink – privacy is nonexistent! I am sure this is trendy, but it is very off putting and would defiantly cause me to not return to this property. The open air effect adds nothing and ruins any sense of modesty unless one is traveling alone – just poorly executed. The hotel has excellent meeting spaces for corporate events and did a fantastic job with logistics – everything for our meetings worked perfectly – the meetings, the welcome event, the beach party and all of the breaks – highly professional. The resort worked well enough for our corporate event, but is not a place I would return for a vacation.
