Our Opinion

A great resort. The team in this resort is incredbly friendly and attentive, especially the waiters in the restaurants and those serving guests on the beach. It can be guaranteed that your plate will always be full and your cups will always be filled with this kind of team. The pool area is great as well. There is no shortage of loungers and umbrellas available. The resort does has a tendency to get a little noisy at times, so this is definitely a place more suited for those who like the lively aspects of Mexico.

Unexpected surprise

We have been traveling to Mexico for about 23 years and have stayed at many different places. The week of 2/11-2/17 2017 we stayed for our 4th time at Fiesta. We have never been disappointed but this time when we went to our room we found that it has been completely updated and renovated. Such a nice surprise...NEW EVERYTHING!!! Very contemporary...what a nice change. The food is good..buffet breakfast with everything you can imagine. I can't really comment too much on lunch because I am totally addicted to their fish and shrimp tacos. I can say that their payaya is too die for..ceviche is good and I did try the margherita pizza and it was pretty darn tasty. Dinner is okay...I think since we travel with 9-10 couples it tends to be difficult serving that many people all at once at the formal dining rooms. But trust me if you can't find something to eat at the buffet shame in you. One night I did stir fry...I brought the guy what veggies and protein I wanted and he cooked it to order in front of me. So yummy. But seriously let me tell you why we go back Year after year...the service. We travel with a pretty large group and I can tell you that everyone in our group is treated like we are royalty. A shout out to our housekeeper Olga Torres who made our room look like the first day we walked in...everyday. Juan Jose Hernandez Palomec our server in the buffet for breakfast for getting tables ready for us every morning and greeting us with a smile and a magic trick everyday..we love you JJ. Angel..beach server...our rockstar..seriously the hardest working dude EVER...you are not only a great host but an amazing human being...I hope we took good care of you ❤. Lastly I would like to say a huge thank you to the manager Fabrizio Mont Murro...you set such an amazing example to your staff. You went above and beyond and it was appreciated by the entire "Schwartz" group. The Morrisseys will definitely be back. Please please also remember to take lots of ones..these people work hard..especially the bartenders and servers...tip generously!!!

Make sure to find Felix

First off, the place is beautiful. Crystal clear waters (beware of the strong current however), staff is extremely friendly, rooms are great, and now lets talk about Felix. He is the pool side bartender and I really do think that he was the reason our trip was so great. He makes some of THE BEST drinks you will ever have, and he is so friendly. I plan on coming back some time in the future and the first thing I will do, is go find Felix.

Fantastic stay !!

My family and I stayed for around a week and we thought it was a fantastic hotel. The SERVICE and FOOD was AMAZING! the rooms were great as well. All the employees have very good attitude towards everyone and everything they do. We were always involved in the activities that would occur and it was fun and we relaxed which is the most important. All the waiters and staff are EXCELLENT. Some of them i can remember are; Waiters; Ramiro, Franky(buffet), Sebastian(kambu rest.) good waiters!Chefs; Josue, Moises, Jorge (Outside grill, pool area), Mario(Sushi chef) amazing chefs and very friendly, always made sure we were satisfied and okay. Entertainment Staff; Itzel, Devaky and Gabriela, great girls, very friendly and they made sure we were having a great time at all times. I can't emphasize enough on the great attention my family and I received, very happy with my stay in this Hotel.

Crème de la crème

My wife and I stayed at Fiesta for a week at the beginning of February to celebrate our anniversary and we could not be more impressed. Firstly, it is located in the hotel zone, so the ride from the airport is very short, it only took 25 minutes to get there. We cannot stress the convenience of the location enough. We look the local bus, it's 1USD per person, to go the La Isla shopping centre it only took 10 minutes. It's also located right across from dolphin world and very close to nightly entertainment like coco bongo. Note most of the guests here were families and older couples, not really a party crowd but we did not mind since it was only us two.THE GROUNDSThe resort is fairly small, which makes it very convenient to get from one end to the other. The grounds were kept very clean, all the plants were lush and freshly watered each morning. The mini jungle walkway by the gift shop was absolutely wonderful, there are koi fish in the pond. The lobby is huge, it's an open concept, including a bar, sushi restaurant, as well as many seats to lounge around. All the public restrooms were also clean and well maintained. THE ROOMWe stayed in the superior garden view room which is the most basic room but, since all the rooms are renovated or in the process of being renovated, they are extremely chic and modern. The bed was huge and comfy, the floors were all marble, and we especially loved the waterfall shower. We stayed in the moon tower therefore our view was facing the other hotel, and quite frankly it was not the best but it was not a big deal. We were lucky enough to get a balcony and the side views were of the lagoon and the other was the beach, so it was still pretty awesome. THE POOLSThere are 2 pools, one on the lower level, which has a swim-up bar and one on the upper level which was the heated infinity pool. Both pools had their own separate hot tub. The lower level was the larger and at certain points, deeper pool, it is also where the games are played. Due to this, it tended to be where the party atmosphere was most of the time since it is where the music was being played. The pool games were fun, consisting of pictionary, "baby balloon" catch, and trivia, all super fun. The upper pool tended to be more quiet and kid-friendly as it was warm and more shallow and heated. There is no bar in the infinity pool but don't fret, there are servers who walk around to collect and deliver orders. It may take a while just because there are so many orders but rest assured they will take care of you. ENTERAINMENT Although we walked in with low expectations since we read very little about their entertainment, we were genuinely surprised by the nightly shows held at the theatre. They included a magic show, circus, a Michael Jackson show. There is also a fire show that happens beside the beach (DON'T MISS IT). Also there is no disco on site but they also have live music and DJ's at the lobby.THE BEACHThe beach was picture perfect, the water was crystal clear, they have lifeguards on duty and parasails everywhere which was all the more picturesque. We had no problems with beach chairs either however, it was a red flag almost everyday that we were there. We found the currents to be very strong, some points it was very dangerous, so we decided to take the precautions and just swim at the pool. THE FOODWe all know what to order when we go to Mexico. TACOS! Head straight to the Cevicheria, the restaurant out in the open just beside the downer pool and on the way to the beach. The fish and shrimp tacos were amazing, they are very small so get multiple. They come with this great spicy habanero type of sauce and a spicy mayo that go so well together. Pair the tacos with some fresh calamari or breaded fish filet. There is only one buffet at the resort, Kalmia but they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are all great, not a large variety of selections but whatever they do have tastes great. Each night there are different items to be grilled, you can choose from steaks, pork chops, chicken breast, shrimp, salmon, mahi mahi or a couple types of kebabs. Every day around lunch time there is an outdoor grill that serves different items like fresh fish or on a couple days, paella just beside the pool bar. There is a burger and fries joint past the pools that serves an amazing onion ring packed burger. The asian fusion restaurant beside downer pool serves these amazing mahi mahi tacos and a shrimp risotto that I highly, highly recommend. There is a pizza place beside the infinity pool but it is nothing special, which honestly is not much of a surprise. The mexican restaurant was our favourite, the servers were extremely nice and they also have singers, and someone who comes to your table for your own private mexican guacamole making lesson. Don't miss out on the cafe, which is in the gift shop unfortunately we discovered that everything there was included in the all inclusive, such as the variety of coffees & espressos, as well as the truffles and macaroons, which are to die for. Also room service is amazing, cannot say enough great things, we seriously tried everything on the menu, from burgers, tex mex burritos, club sandwiches, chicken fingers, literally everything is delicious and fresh. The only night our food was stale was the night of the Superbowl which is understandable so no biggie. ACCOMODATIONS The hotel has ramps everywhere therefore making it very accessible for everyone. From what we saw, it was very LGBT friendly, and we saw gluten free food options as well. WIFIThe wifi was great, for one because it's free and secondly because we were able to binge watch netflix at night, without any problems. It works everywhere except the beach, which wasn't a problem because we were relaxing anyways. All in all, we had a great time at Fiesta, although it was quite pricey, it is well worth it due to the quality. The only few complaints was the drinks were very watered down, so we just ordered them with double shots which fixed the problem. Eric the bartender was amazing, he always surprised us with yummy drinks, he made our trip all the more awesome. Also we emailed the hotel 2 weeks before and told them we were celebrating our anniversary but they did nothing special for us, even though other couples got champagne or rice decorations- again, not a huge deal, regardless we will be back, were actually thinking of booking again this summer!
