Our Opinion

The Flamingo Cancun is a small yet wonderful resort to visit in Cancun. The staff in particular, is amazing. The front team ensure a quick and easy check-in, and the remainder of staff really make an effort to ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The beach here is great. It's a good size and the water here is calm enough to swim in. The food here varies depending on where you're eating. The snack bar is a good place to grab some munchies, the buffet however were limited in choices and variety. The a la carte restaurants are worth giving a try, as it offers quality food compared to others. This is place is located in a prime spot close to the hub of city life in Cancun. Definitely a great spot for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.

Filled with bright colours and friendly service, this great resort has a true Mexican atmosphere. Located directly on the beach, guests can enjoy a selection of dining options, pools, non-motorized watersports, supervised children's activities, and much more.
Location: Beachfront, across the street from the 'Flamingo Shopping Centre', only 15 min from downtown Cancun, 25 min from the airport.

Return couple, we loved it as much as the first time.

We visited the Flamingo from 10-14 - 10-21 , we upgraded upon arrival to an oceanview and paid $210.00 (USD) for the seven days. This was cheaper than what our tour operator wanted. We have very few complaints. The staff are great and work hard everyday. The buffet can be repetitive but we ate lunch and dinner each day at the Albatros where you can order off the menu. The resort is small and quiet and there is very little hustle and bustle, this is why we returned, as a couple in our 50's this is what we wanted and knew what to expect when we returned.A special shout out to our friend Ismael Tec from the lobby bar, always a smile and a story. We will be back to see you soon!

Excellent Vacation

The staff was extremely friendly, the room was great. I don't know what the prior complaint was according to the food, we had a variety of choices everyday. We did not get to do any excursions because of injury but are looking forward to a return trip with more time to spend there. I would give my overall experience as a solid A.

Best vacation ever!

We stayed Oct. 4-11. Oct 4 was our 30th Anniversary so we upgraded to the Junior swim up suite. We loved our suite which came with a mini bar that was restocked everyday. We had the services of butlers Alfredo and David who tended to our every need. They really helped to make it a wonderful stay. For breakfast at Fuente egg station cook Gelma made the perfect one egg omelet every morning. Waiters Alberto and Sevedo and waitress Yesenia were fabulous. We generally used the bar at the quiet pool and Misael made the perfect Margaritas. We ordered room service for lunch every day and ate on our terrace poolside. For dinner we did room service the first 2 nights. The last 5 nights ate at Albatross on the beach. Waitress Luisa was fantastic. We want to thank everyone for the great service. We loved our stay at Flamingo and will definitely be back!

good for the price i paid but could be better

I went the first week of september. weather was great! beach was beautiful, our beach was the only one maintained which i was surprised to see that the Hyat next to us wasnt. now the beach was always wavy never calm which the life gaurd said it always like that so make a trip out to isla mujeres(BEAUTIFUL with a calm beach) in terms of hotel it was VERY quiet and a small resort. no night life, no entertainment (they had this "show" which i left after 10 minutes) wifi which is good (lol) upgraded tvs in the bedrooms, had an issue with the hot water one day but once i called the lobby they told me they were doing some maintenance then it was resolved. in terms of food, it was repetitive breakfast i normally had fruit and ALWAYS ate at the a la carte which is by the beach(BEST FOOD) great service overall, the beach was always quiet and lots of chairs with an umbrella available which im not normally used to when traveling. if your looking to relax this is a great hotel, if your looking to party your going to have to leave the resort. we went to the next hotel because we heard a party going on and they were having a foam party looked like so much fun but they paid waay more. a LOT of spanish people at this resort, almost all the guests were spanish so im assuming they get a better deal. met some pretty nice people overall enjoyed my stay never been to mexico so i liked it, but im telling you if your looking for a big extravagant hotel this is not it, it is small and not much to do, luckily for me i brought my laptop and was able to connect to the tv to catch up on some netflix. there were times we would place an order and then another server would come and ask us what we would like so maybe they can work on that.

Love the hotel. Clean. Service great. ALFREDO ROCKS. Room perfect. Easy access to both directions of Kulkulcan Blvd. Across street from Ocean Dental where we came to get work done. They've upgraded and I would love the food to be of more choices. The ALL Inclusive fees are low and drinks are great
