Our Opinion

The Flamingo Cancun is a small yet wonderful resort to visit in Cancun. The staff in particular, is amazing. The front team ensure a quick and easy check-in, and the remainder of staff really make an effort to ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The beach here is great. It's a good size and the water here is calm enough to swim in. The food here varies depending on where you're eating. The snack bar is a good place to grab some munchies, the buffet however were limited in choices and variety. The a la carte restaurants are worth giving a try, as it offers quality food compared to others. This is place is located in a prime spot close to the hub of city life in Cancun. Definitely a great spot for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.

First time and will repeat again!!

I will definitely repeat my trip to Cancun I did like the environment at the Flamingo resort, I did like the room especially it had their own safe where you can keep your valuables, what I did not like was my room didn't have an iron or iron table and the signal of Wifi was too poor only the front area had a good signal. They also have food and beverages to suit all tastes, their personal from parking valet till the life saver in the beach do know how to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Amazing room with a view in a budget

Last time I went to a big resort and spent too much time just going back and forth to the buffet and back. Hence this time we decided to go to a smaller resort and we were not disappointed. Although my room was the farthest from the buffet, I would take less than 2 mins to get to my room using an elevator. The room had awesome ocean view. There was one buffet and 1 restaurant where you could order a la carte but it required a reservation for dinner. Apart from this they offered snacks at pool side till 5 pm. Main pool had options from bbq such as burgers and nachos. The other pool had a pizzaria which was amazing. The buffet had variety items, but most evenings it served amazing tasting tacos from 7 - 9 pm. The drinks were amazing and didn't have much of a wait time. The crowd was a mix of family with kids and couples. They also have a small play area for the kids at the beach where they can play in their bathing suit and also a small jacuzzi for kids. Right next to it, they have a day care where you could leave your kids with the attendant for free. My kids loved that day care as they had a lots activities. They had theme based dinner buffets such as Mariachi night and the natives night (don't remember what was it really called). We only attended native's show which was nice. The location is amazing. It's right next to Hyatt Zilara. For the price I paid, we really liked the service and atmosphere.Con: The day we were leaving, it rained. And a lots of things were closed due to that. That was kind of weird as they have a monsoon season. Their pizzaria was shut down as the wood oven got rainwater and wouldn't burn. Day care was closed as tilted sunroof was leading the rainwater inside.

Best Hotel in Cancun

This was our first time in Mexico so we were a little skeptical about the hotels especially since we got a really good price for our room. We had a the Jr. swim up suite DEFINITELY worth the extra money, step out your sliding door right to a private pool basically right on the beach. We loved it, staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Alfredo, if you stay here and have Alfredo take care of you, you wont be disappointed.

Gets better every trip!

Just returned from a one week stay at the Flamingo (the latest of 20-something stays) and continue to be impressed with the hotel. As always, the entire staff are always welcoming and smiling and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. On Saturday, a group of employees and their families worked all morning cleaning the beach, which was quite impressive. And I must say, their food was definitely greatly improved over our last visit. I definitely recommend a stay at the Flamingo Cancun resort - you won't be sorry!

I stay here every year in February. It's a great place to stay, I get an upgraded room with infinity pool outside your door. Great view of the beach which is stunningly beautiful. Food is great and there's plenty to choose from. Many bars and pools located all over the hotel. Service and staff are excellent. For the price your not going to find anything better. Plus it's really close to down town area if you want to shop or get some food.
