Our Opinion

Out of all Oasis resorts, this is one that is most fitting with couples and older clientele. Take advantage of upgrading a suite, as the views offered here are breathtaking. This resort also offers endless options when it comes to food. Whether it's the buffet or the a la carte restaurants, the food here has always been promising in taste in quality. The pool area is spacious and you'll never experience a shortage of towels or loungers. One of the things that sets this resort apart from the rest is that it is incredibly inclusive. Regardless of your age or sexual orientation, this resort is probably one to visit if you're a couple.

Wonderful Resort and Great Service

This resort had the tastiest selection of foods: Sushi, American, Mexican, etc,. Ricardo in the lobby bar made dynamite drinks. The mid-day food service was painfully slow but the beach was wonderful.

Winter vacation.

Wonderful staff and upon checkin Ben was the ultimate at the Grand Plus checkin lounge. Staff very helpful. Remember that a little common courtesy gets you everything you desire. If you nicely ask Ben, he will help you find everything you need. A full review will come later...

Staff not honest

We recently stayed 6 days it was an awful experience our room was smelled. Room serviced sucked we constantly asked for towels the house keeping always forgot to bring or they will always said they do not have it not unless you gave them money. I also lost a pair of Jean shorts which we made a complaints but we don't hear from the hotel, on our last night of stayed we encounter at midnight they are drilling wall next to our room and again we also made a complaint we don't hear from them all I have to say the hotel is a dived, don't stay there

Bad experience

I arrived at the Grand oasis Sens on the 15th Jan and leave 22nd Jan my birthday on arrival my partner and I upgraded our Statius to VIP wished that we hadn't as it cost us $650.00 this hotel obviously dose not know what VIP stands for as we have not as yet received any VIP treatment we have complained to our Concierge and just for fobbed of with a load of bull crap. You are supposed to be entitled to free access to all restaurants two of these you have to book for as they are very expensive to eat at but you are entitled to have one free meal at each, but when you try to book for this they have no bookings available unless you are willing to pay for your meal which will cost around £100. Each person each restaurant. Also we are supposed to be able to get free drinks at all the bars in the hotel and was told in the cigar bar that we would have to pay for any drinks consumed this is all unacceptable the room service we have received has been awful the mini bar is to be restocked every day for free but as yet nothing if you book this hotel don't bother with the sianka-an club it is a total waist of money you have to book everything that you wish to use sun lounger for VIP You still have to que for all your meals.. I have 5 days remaining on my holiday here should things improve I will keep you all updated BUT DONT hold your breath as I think nothing will.. we are staying in room 681 which as a small pool on the balcony but no lighting for the evening even though we have reported this and still waiting for someone to come fix these 😡Best of luck to all who has booked this hotel.Regards Lorraine x

"Hotel Horror"

We were excited to be here for our 10 day holiday ringing in the New Year arriving Dec. 27 and leaving Jan.6 travelling with another couple. Please note that I have never written a review before in all my many different travels because I don't ever expect all the bells n whistles we have at home. Because of the many problems at this resort and how misleading it is to rate this hotel a 4-5 star I felt compelled to write this review for all of you even considering the Grand Oasis Sens to take it off your list!!!Let me start the list...1. They list this as an all inclusive resort...it's NOT! Room service is not included and a flat rate of 18.00 US applies and depending on what you order there is a surcharge on top of that. Red n white wine is inc. (tastes like turpentine) but Rose wine is extra??? No liquor bottles in rooms either. Had beer and soft drinks only in your bar fridge and maybe chips and a chocolate bar depending on who restocked. WIFI is not included and we paid 30 US to get for 7 days and was very weak in the room which we were told but after a few days couldn't even get on the server. We tried to get the problem resolved but whoever the front desk transferred us to didn't answer even though I tried a few times and then front desk didn't answer. We tried getting out of paying the 30 $ but they said we should have come down to the front desk!!2. Coffee pot in room not working....took 3 days to replace. No iron in room. Hair dryer looked like it was going to go on fire!!! No lighting over vanity...very dark. Very difficult for guys to shave. The entire hotel including the lobby is very dark and many levels. Many steps to go from one area to another. Shortage on bath towels...called at 6:00 to get some...no luck. Had to shower with what was there. When I went down to the front desk she apologized and said she did put the call through to housekeeping and would keep trying to get us some. The AC in the room sounds like a train is running through your backyard. Rooms are musty and they cover up the smell with pot pourie. The other couple we travelled with had mold on the stand up lamp and asked to switch rooms because the smell was so bad and the room/bed was very damp. She had to sleep with clothes on because the sheets were wet for the first two nights...took three days to get their room changed!!! A lot of time wasted going back n forth to the front desk to check availability.3. Hotel was soooooo understaffed. Receptionist at one point explained how she had to come from the Grand Oasis to work at the Sens because their staff didn't show up for work!!! You knew that housekeeping was also under staffed because the rooms weren't cleaned until late in the day and then the bare minimum was done. We had put a snack plate in the hallway when we were done but they didn't wipe the table and when we returned there were little bugs all over the table!4. Concierge was very frustrated because they were always misinformed and would have to here it from the tourists because they in turn were given the wrong information. This particular staff member said they were fed up and were seeking another place of employment. They said the hotel is not managed properly.5. Line ups for breakfast were absolutely ridiculous after 9:00. You were stuck there because that was your only option and they clearly could not manage the number of guests. Not to mention the coffee was horrible. They did have a separate coffee bar but the line ups there were also very long with only one person working!! 6. The alla cart restaurants made no sense how they managed them. Two took reservations, one you had to pay to go...the Benazua...so much for an all inclusive and the rest you had to show up ten minutes before they opened, put your name on a list and MAYBE you might get in! We went FOUR times to get into one and it's only because on the fourth time my husband lost it and told them we had already tried THREE times!! A huge problem is that all the restaurants cannot accommodate more than 40-50 people so they fill up REALLY FAST. The BOX which is one that takes reservations may seat 20 people because exactly like the name..it's a BOX!!! Although I must say the food at most of the restaurants is good...if you get in!!7. No drink service pool side or on the beach. The pool area has these areas that jut out and have a foot of water inside and if you're not paying attention or if it's dark like New Years Eve you can fall in like my husband did that night!! A huge safety hazard in my opinion. Although you had unlimited beach towels, the chairs on the beach were scarce and very few umbrellas if you wanted shade. They didn't replace their broken chairs either! The beach was red flagged every day due to extremely high waves and the undertow.A recent management response written by Mario Velazquez in reference to a Jan. 12 review wrote.."We can assure that this is not in keeping with our habitually high standards of service...". HIGH STANDARDS...not sure who has their heads in the sand or WHO is setting these standards but they are far from HIGH!!! This absolutely is NOT even close to the rating this GRAND OASIS SENS has been given and must be reviewed before someone else has this HOTEL HORROR experience!!!
