Our Opinion

A great charming hotel along the strip of Cancun. While the size of the resort isn't as comparable to the larger resorts found across the strip, the quality and experience that this resort offers shouldn't be underestimated. This is a perfect little gem for older travelers and couples wanting some peace and quiet. The staff along this resort is incredible. They make sure that you're getting the most out of your stay and try to respond to all of your requests in a timely and pleasant manner. Because of the size of this resort, it doesn't really get that busy, which is great if you've got an affinity for lounging by the pool. It's guaranteed that you'll always have a lounger available. There are plenty of activities around this area. Make sure that you rent a golf-cart, as you can probably venture the entire island for the day! While the resort is relatively quiet, there are party yachts that have a tendency to sail nearby, so there is a little bit of disruption during particular times on the island. However, it wouldn't take away from your experience (just make sure you that you refrain from having dinner along the beach at this time)!

Very fun and quality experience

This is a very high quality resort and in a beautiful location, but what really made the vacation memorable were the people working there. They work very hard, provide great service and are always smiling. Great location great people, will definitely be going back there in the future. Special thanks to Evandro, Deiby, Martha, Jorge and Alejandro, and the rest of the staff!

Relaxing Getaway

My husband I visited the resort from Nov. 18th thru Nov. 25th, 2016. We arrived on Friday and the transportation to the boat was provided as planned, but when we waited for a little bit to load the boat, when we were informed that the boat would not be able to take us. We were told that we would need to take a taxi to another marina and get on the main ferry to isla mujeres. We were informed that we would be reimbursed for the (2) taxi rides (one to the ferry and another to the resort once on the island), but we never were. David helped us with checkin, he was very nice! Once at the resort, we fell in love. It was very quite and relaxing. My husband had just returned from a 6 month deployment, so quite and relaxing is just what we were looking for. We stayed in room 220 and we loved it. It had a pool view and a partial ocean view. The beds were very comfortable. There is no need to bring a flat iron or a blow dryer. They have a really nice CHI set, that I enjoyed. Most of our time was spent at the beach. Jorge was our server most of the time and he did an excellent job! They have free water activities that were fun. We spent a little bit of time at the pool, but the ocean was usually warmer, so we stayed by the beach. In other post, people have complained about the beach clubs on either side of the resort. I didn't have a problem with the noise, but did notice that a lot of the guest at the beach clubs would wander to the Palace beach. They would bring their children and that made us realize how nice it was to not have any kids at the resort. The food was sub par. A lot of butter was used, on everything. We found the food to be best at the pool snack bar. We really enjoyed the guacamole, steak and fish tacos, veggie tray, and PIZZA! They have a brick pizza over outdoors and the pizza was our favorite! We did a special honeymoon dinner. For some reason they make you sit inside. They put us a table next to the window, which would be fine, but the resort was going through construction and there were 2 guys working right at the window we were seated at. It killed any romance that the honeymoon dinner could have offered. I ordered the steak and my husband ordered the fish. The steak was flour breaded and fried in butter. And the fish was breaded and covered in butter too. We were really disappointed. We ended up getting pizza afterwards as it was one of the few things we enjoyed. Would be really nice to see some authentic Mexican dishes, but we didn't see any. They did have a mexican buffet night. But, it was a disappointment as well. After speaking with one of the ladies who helps you select which resort credit you would like to use, we decided to take their offer and go stay in Cancun at one of the palaces sister resorts. With all the issues getting the ferry to isla mujeres, we didn't want to deal with it the day we were leaving. We had to sit through a 90 minute presentation at the Beach Palace. Then we were transferred to the Sun Palace. We regretted this decision immediately. When we arrived at the Sun Palace, they didn't have any rooms available for us. We had to wait until 3. When we had arrived at 12 PM. Then they gave us a room and said they gave us a free upgrade. We were put in room 118, which is directly above the night club. Music pounded in our room until midnight. The Beach palace was very busy and the service was no where near as great at the Isla Mujeres palace. The food was slightly better at Sun Palace. We LOVED Isla Mujeres Palace, we will likely be back. Even though the food lacked, the service was awesome and the resort was beautiful! Perfect spot if you are looking to relax.

The Place Where Dreams Come From

Do you believe in magic? If so, Isla Mujeres Palace is the place for you! The staff should wear space pants, cuz they are out of this world! The 3-headed beast of a service staff composing of gentlemen named "Hector", "Alejandro" and "Julian" will leave you in utter amazement at the attention to every detail to make your stay more enjoyable! Alejandro makes the best Negroni in the land. Seriously, these guys are absolutely amazing. The resort is peaceful and relaxing. The food is off da chain! Everyone there works so so hard to make every aspect of your stay something that you will always remember. Thanks again guys! We will definitely make a return trip!

A Wonderful Honeymoon Destination

When we went to choose a honeymoon destination, we wanted to pick the most relaxing place we could find, and Isla Mujeres looked like it would fit the bill. I am happy to say that we were correct in that choice. The property is in a great location on the small island and is only about a 10min boat trip from mainland Cancun. The resort faces to the West, offering stunning sunset views and a vista of the mainland. The beach was clean with plenty of seating. The rooms were nicely furnished, and some have Apple TVs so we could watch movies or Youtube videos in English if there was nothing on TV.Although we have stayed with other Palace resorts and are accustomed to excellent service, the staff of the Isla Mujeres Palace easily exceeded all of our previous experiences. Everyone was warm and welcoming regardless of their job.Specifically, we were greeted at the front desk by Deiby and Anai every time we passed by, were taken care of at breakfast every day by Wilma, served poolside snacks and drinks by Freddy. The resort activities led by Jorge were fun, and he wasn't put off by the fact that my wife and I were often the only ones participating in the events because the resort was fairly empty most days we were there.A great example of the level of service the Isla Mujeres Palace employees showed happened when my cell phone fell out of my bag during our scuba diving trip. Once I told the front desk what happened, it seemed like everyone in the resort made recovering my phone their top priority. Even the waiters at dinner and the housekeeping staff all asked if I had gotten my phone back yet and expressed optimism that I'd recover it. The front desk and Scuba instructor Manny worked together to find out which boat I had left it on, and to get someone from the scuba company to bring the phone back to us the next day. Once I figured out it was missing, I honestly never thought I would see it again, but they went above and beyond anything I had ever seen before to get it back for me.The food was delicious and the menu was varied enough that we didn't get bored. The Chef's dinner helped add some variety as well. It was fun having the chef explain all the steps of the recipe to us and what he was hoping to achieve with all the flavor combinations.Overall, this was an ideal honeymoon spot and I would recommend the resort for anyone seeking a relaxing destination with the best possible service.
