Our Opinion

The Krystal Cancun is a great hotel located in the heart of the resort strip. This resort is absolutely massive. Despite its size, it still had a great layout. The people in this resort put great detail in how it's laid out. While the main public areas of the resort are amazing, the rooms do require a bit more attention, as there have been reported issues with regards to some of the fixtures. This resort offers different forms of entertainment every night, so you'll never have a dull evening. Great food options to choose from and the staff are amazing here. They make sure that you are getting the most out of your stay.

The location of the resort is great. However, for those wanting peace and quiet during their stay might want to look elsewhere. This place is located in the heart of the party strip in Cancun. The resort itself isn't necessarily bustling as much as most, but the activity and noise from outside does have a tendency to carry through late hours. However, for those wanting to be in the center of the action, this is the place to stay.

THE WORST!

I write this review during my stay at Krystal. Like many others, I read so many reviews before booking. I saw all the bad reviews and thought these are probably rare cases and it won’t happen to me....but it did.We stayed here to celebrate our first anniversary. We requested an ocean view room and any romantic complimentary decor for our room. Upon arrival, we were placed in Tower B on the 8th floor. The view is beautiful. There was no decor but we let it go because maybe we had asked for too much.Within the first hour of our stay, our toilet stopped working TWICE. They sent people to repair both times. The next day, the AC stopped working. They sent a guy to repair who came in and said he’ll come back in 20 mins. Moments later, our bathroom ceiling started leaking (see pics). It pretty much started flowing into the room where all our stuff was.We rushed downstairs to talk to the front desk who said they won’t change our rooms until TOMORROW. How on earth were we supposed to stay in a room after paying almost a grand that had water pouring over our heads. After a lot of arguments, they told us to wait for the supervisor. A man named Gabriel showed up after much waiting and walked to our room and after seeing the condition, finally realized we weren’t lying. By the time he came to the room, the water had really flowed into the room. He was very apologetic and changed our rooms to the 5th floor. The front desk never apologized for their rudeness. Today is our last day here and I’m writing this review while sitting in our room with a broken AC AGAIN. It has been over ten mins since I called the front desk and no one has come yet. This is a joke. The WiFi at this hotel SUCKS. Forget getting any internet anywhere at the resort, we tried it all. The elevators work at the pace of a snail. There are two but one is always broken down. The beach is clean and gorgeous so the only thing this place has going for it is the view and the location. Many local restaurants with good food nearby. As soon as you step outside though, you will be attacked left and right by tourist and clubs reps telling you to buy tickets. Gets really annoying but nothing as bad and awful as staying here. during my stay at Krystal. Like many others, I read so many reviews before booking. Lovely hotel with beautiful location with beach access. Very clean throughout the hotel. Pool area was really nice and so were the cocktails! Staff were very nice, especially Yendy in the hotel bar whom was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. Hope to be back someday!

Some good...some not so good

My friends and I (6 of us) stayed here January 4-9. The beach was gorgeous and the water beautiful. The hotel was nice, but not amazing for the money. If your looking for any night activity you have to go down the street and listen the the music by the clubs. They had a lady come sing in the lobbies a couple nights. Their Caribbean night was very disappoining. They group set up in the corner of the buffet restraunt..WHAT?? And Mexican nights was basically like eating at a restraunt on the beach. There was some music at the tables, but I expected more music maybe a little dancing or something...a bit disappointed. The best part were the activities during the day. Juan (the activity guy) was great about keeping us informed of upcoming activities and encouraged us to get involved. I played darts, and bingo, went for a beautiful beach walk , and did some stretching and Zumba classes. He also helped set us up for one of the funniest nights that my friends and I had ever had. He did a great job and took very good care of us and made my trip very memorable. We had some great bartenders as well. Gabriel and Roberto always remembered me by name and remembered what I liked to drink and Gabriel was also good to remind me to drink water. The were really were great!IYou can also get served on the beach while you lounge in your chai. Linda did an amazing job getting us our food and drinks. Wow! That lady can carry a lot through the sand. She was our favorite waitress.Over all the rest of the staff was pretty friendlyI have been to Cancun before and it has to be one of my favorite vacation spots. I did like the location close to shopping and the clubs. I was able to walk downtown at night and felt safe. Just really wish there was more to do at the resort at night.

Ismael for President

My family and I celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday at the Krystal Cancun from 1/6-1/11. Ismael was a great help to me. He did it all. He got me connected to wifi, reactivated my room keys 100 times, referred me to Xel-Ha and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great vacation. Thank you for being the perfect concierge Ismael. Someone give that man a raise!
