Our Opinion

The Krystal Cancun is a great hotel located in the heart of the resort strip. This resort is absolutely massive. Despite its size, it still had a great layout. The people in this resort put great detail in how it's laid out. While the main public areas of the resort are amazing, the rooms do require a bit more attention, as there have been reported issues with regards to some of the fixtures. This resort offers different forms of entertainment every night, so you'll never have a dull evening. Great food options to choose from and the staff are amazing here. They make sure that you are getting the most out of your stay.

The location of the resort is great. However, for those wanting peace and quiet during their stay might want to look elsewhere. This place is located in the heart of the party strip in Cancun. The resort itself isn't necessarily bustling as much as most, but the activity and noise from outside does have a tendency to carry through late hours. However, for those wanting to be in the center of the action, this is the place to stay.

DISGUSTING !!!!!

Came to the Krystal Hotel for a family vacation we never do 4 star hotels for a reason! But this vacation unfortunately was not in our hands. This hotel is by far one of THE MOST DISGUSTING HOTELS EVER! Rooms smelled like mold the bathrooms look like they weren’t cleaned from the people before, the room itself needs to be updated! I will never stay at this hotel ever again. I’m actually surprised this place is still standing restaurant staff is great. Always had a smile but I will tell and show everyone the pictures I took of this hotel. And I recommend anyone who is looking to stay here to look else where and I hope everyone sees this!!!!!!!!

Service With a Smile

My husband and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon. Not only was the property and location absolutely beautiful, being located right on the Point, but also convenient to all types of activities within walking distance. We enjoyed all the on site services daily but want to mention 2 employees in particular. Our housekeeper, La Señorita Noemi, was precious. She was always smiling and professional and made the extra effort to communicate with us in English. She added extra touches including towel animals and even rose petals on the bed. Our bellboy, Tomás Miranda was helpful daily in every way from assisting with bags, to giving directions, and recommending amazing restaurant experiences. He became a face we looked forward to seeing daily as we came down from our room. It so happened that my husband and I each celebrated our birthday during our week in Cancun. Tomás knew about mine, as he assisted us in making our reservation for El Mortero for my mariachi birthday dinner. Unbeknownst to us was that he also organized for a beautiful birthday cake and bottle of champagne be sent to our room as a surprise! Our trip was amazing but it was the “Service With a Smile” from the Krystal employees that truly made it special! A heartfelt thank-you from Alabama, USA.

STAY AWAY!!!!!

STAY AWAY!!! The hotel itself is ok, but it needs an update. I opted for the ocean view which was beautiful, but did not do the all inclusive. The pool and the beach were nice. The hotel is situated in the "Zona Hotelera", so leaving that zone can be annoying. Taxis rip you off with their prices, and as of now, Ubers are prohibited from going into the "Zona Hotelera" The best option is to get public transportation at $12 pesos a person. At check out the hotel blamed us of drinking water bottles form the bar, and refilling them with tap water. They also blamed us for eating a snickers bar, funny thing is that we are allergic to peanuts. Furthermore, at checkout the hotel was also trying to charge us for some tax, but I had already paid it at check-in. I stood my ground and told them I was not paying them anymore money. Although they looked upset, they let us go. Overall my trip to Cancun was okay. I wasn't thrilled with the food options in the "Zona Hotelera" I highly recommend Tulum instead. Less globalized, more authentic Mexican food and beautiful beach.

Not horrible Not Outstanding...

Upon arrival we were allowed to check in early without having to ask. I have read other reviews and was a bit skeptical at first however, I️t wasn’t all that horrible. The staff were all pleasant except management and the front desk. We got an all inclusive ocean view package. The room and beds were nice. The sink had a leak which you can tell has been leaking to the drain for a while since I️t has a obvious spot on the floor even when dry. The cleaning of the rooms could have been better. They cleaned the rooms but didn’t provide the same amount of towels or a floor mat for when getting out the shower, they just took them. The access to the beach was nice and easy. The bars on site were quick and efficient although the drinks could have been stronger. The food at the properties restaurants was just ok. Nothing too great or special. As far the dinner reservation, we choose the Mexican restaurant and I didn’t find the food at all desirable, but again the drink saved the day. The swim up pool had a babies diaper floating in I️t so we opted to not go in any of the property pools simply for sanitation reasons. No one approached us about a timeshare! No live entertainment over the weekends. Overall, not a horrible stay. We took this as a quick weekend getaway. I would not recommend staying here an entire week. The property isn’t that special. I would recommended 2-3 days max. Maybe if you desire a longer stay the Krystal Grand next door may be an option. This property is simply for those who want a weekend all inclusive at a reasonable price on a no frills basis. On a scale of 1-5 my recommendation would be 3.

Stay away from this hotel for your own sake

First time in Cancun booked 5 days with Krystal hotel, not worth the price. I highly recommend do not stay at this hotel. The room smells like mold, the coffee maker is super dirty, and the worst part is that it's so close to the clubs, it gets ridiculous loud from 10pm to 3am with the club music. Almost feels like sleeping in a night club, because of that, we barely slept before 2-3am for 5 days straight. The only nice thing about this hotel is probably the beach, but i guess since you are in Cancun, its not gonna be hard to find a decent hotel with nice beach.
