Our Opinion

The Krystal Cancun is a great hotel located in the heart of the resort strip. This resort is absolutely massive. Despite its size, it still had a great layout. The people in this resort put great detail in how it's laid out. While the main public areas of the resort is amazing, the rooms do require a bit more attention, as there have been reported issues with regards to some of the fixtures. This resort offers different forms of entertainment every night, so you'll never have a dull evening. Great food options to choose from and the staff are amazing here. They make sure that you are getting the most out of your stay. The location of the resort is great. However, for those wanting peace and quiet during their stay might want to look elsewhere. This place is located in the heart of the party strip in Cancun. The resort itself isn't necessarily bustling as much as most, but the activity and noise from outside does have a tendency to carry throught late hours. However, for those wanting to to be in the center of action, this is the place to stay.

A joke of a hotel

We are currently staying here. Internet hasn't worked in the room since we got here. Every day I go to the front desk and ask for it to be fixed and everyday they do nothing. Lol it is a little funny. I ordered 2 towels 3 hours ago, then again an hour ago and still waiting and it's now 11.18pm and I just want to go to sleep. The ice machine on our floor doesn't work so I called to inform them and find out if there was a floor where one did work. the reply I got was "yes we are aware most of them are broken but we can't get them fixed unti Monday" today is Saturday. I asked which ones work - the guy just laughed apalogised and said "don't know"Service is pathetic. It is in a great position but there are a lot of other hotels around this area that couldn't be half as bad so defiantly give this a miss.

Great Hotel with Fun Staff & Activities

We have timeshare here. The activity staff here (Osmim, Frida, Freddy) are all super friendly and energetic and kept us involved with pool parties, dart, beer pong, drinking contests. They always greeted us morning and evening and made sure we were both having a great time out on our week long vacation. Thanks guys and see you again soon.

Expected more for my money

Service was good but the first room we got were horrible it seems like the hotel was completely booked and they gave us the worst they had. Bathroom was not cleaned and the bed did not have sheets Incalled to complain they stated someone would come but nobody showed up. The next morning I requested other rooms specified my concerns and it seem like they knew and gave me better rooms without hesitating. The new rooms were much better but the cleaningess was average my family and I still didn't feel confortable.

Very Honest Review, Great location, but bad rooms

I went on a family trip from Jan. 4- Jan 11th 2017 and at first I was excited about going to Cancun and I was hoping for the best staying at the Krystal Cancun. I had read good and bad reviews, but I stayed optimistic. Hotel was nice, staff was pretty friendly at first, but I felt that once they knew we weren't doing the ALL INCLUSIVE package it changed. Receptionist gave us our keys and just explained where the rooms were that is it. I had to ask her about the restaurants they had at the Hotel, where they were located, if reservations were needed, as well as other amenities about the hotel. I've visited different countries and stayed at both All Inclusive and non inclusive Hotels. This is usually basic info. and some could argue that it may have been busy, but we were the only group checking in at the time. Other times asking reception questions they were pretty rude, I would try to talk to different staff hoping it was just an off day, but most had the same attitude :/ROOM INFO:We got to our rooms and each only had one bed when the reservation was for 8 ppl, like how does that work out? One of the rooms was fine because it was for a couple, but the other two not so much. We called reception they said they couldn't change our rooms tonight since it was late, but they could send two extra beds and change our rooms the next day. This was fine, but these beds were the most uncomfortable beds, I think rug floor would have been more comfortable. We also got a room faceing old buildings which wasn't great, but I didn't pay extra for ocean view. We stayed in tower C, which is the fartherest and where you can hear the music all night. We didn't mind, but some people might. We had some little bugs that seems like ants, but not sure what they were. Next day came and they basically told us they could move us, but our rooms would be smaller and scattered on different floors. Which wasn't what we wanted since it was a family trip and we had connected rooms with younger kids. One of our rooms also had a kitchenette and refrigerator which we needed and they couldn't accommodate us with it, so we stayed in our rooms and had more problems as the week went on. Leaks in the bathrooms, paint smells that give us all headaches, and AC that would and wouldn't work or when it did it was so loud. I am glad we were gone most days on tours, but sometimes dreaded coming back because we didn't know what to expect next. I wish they would have offered us something for all our troubles, but they didn't.HotelWhile room was unfavorable, the hotel itself was nice. The best part about the Hotel is that its beach front. Cabanas and beach chairs available just first come first serve. The beach was really nice and we all had a good time there. The pools were nice, but we were mostly enjoying the beach. There is also hammocks towards one end, which are nice as well. I think being ocean front is the best aspect of the hotel. After that being said, I am not sure if I would recommend this hotel. The grounds and area were near all the rust and bust of Cancun which was great because we were just walking distance from food, clubs, and beaches. My main concern was the room, if you don't do the All Inclusive be forewarned you will not be treated as nicely. Good Luck on your travels.:)
