Our Opinion

The Krystal Grand Punta Cancun has great potential as a resort in Cancun. It's located on the tip of the island, making it a prime location for shopping, restaurants and bars. The downtown area is also a few minutes taxi ride away. The beach is also spectacular in this area. It's constantly being maintained by staff, making the lounge area immaculate and free of seaweed. OK food choices found here. There is a great variety to choose from and are well prepared. It does take a while to be served however, especially when during the peak lunch hour. There is a bit of noise during the evening. However, it's not terribly distracting and it does not necessarily take away from the experience of your stay.

This luxury hotel is located just a few steps from shopping centers, restaurants, and nightlife.

Great resort but finicky A/C lead to sleepless nights, in addition to sub-par service/support

We stayed at the new Altitude tower which is really awesome and specious .... welcome drinks and all luxuries made it a great place. However, our a/c stopped working every night from 2-5 am and they did not do anything about it. Most of the time they didn't have any responding to calls at nights or had an english-speaking person attending to the complaints. Some of the hidden charges were expected in the all-inclusive deal but sleepless nights made is give them only 3 stars. Food is not the best but the location is great.

Service review

We stayed here for a week with the all inclusive package in the Altitude part of the hotel. Our room was great with an ocean front view on the 12th floor.Alonso from Bar Altitud was great. He was attentive and professional while also being very polite and friendly. Martha from the buffet breakfast was also extremely attentive and helpful, along with the other seating hostesses at breakfast. Everyone working In the Altitude part of the hotel were extremely kind and energetic.Overall, the service around the pool and beach was not great. We ended up getting our own drinks most of the time. The same can be said about the buffet breakfast service as it was slow, disorganised and intermittent.The dinner buffets were not open as it was low season. The dinners at the various restaurants were great though with excellent service. Having stayed in a multitude of hotels in and around cancun, this is the first hotel where we had to sign a bill for everything we ate or drank at anytime. As we were on the all inclusive package, we found this intrusive and an extra hassle. Even when quickly grabbing a sparking water from the bar, we had to sign for it.

Loud Music destroy sleep

Friday night there was music inside the hotel. The noise ended by 1030 so thats bearable but Saturday eve there was a wedding. The music was very loud. I complained many times but no out come. First they say it will end at 1am. Quite hours begin by 10 or 11pm. but this hotel has no respect for hotel guests. Reception kept insisting for 1am but it didnt end. complained again at 1:30 ..didnt end. Complained again and they said its ended while it was banging loud...Ended about 2:00am....destroyed my night...

Great place to relax with awesome customer service

Room extremely clean and neat, concierge was super, customer service the best. Pool was very nice, but not heated so little cold water. (November)Excellent service at all areas but specially from certain sweet people, Alejandro Vanegas (Concierge) and Ivette Ulin (The Grill restaurant)Only Cons: lobby smelled bad in certain area and too hot, my visit was in November and still was hot.

Boyfriends Bday Vacation

PLEASE EVERYONE BEWARE! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. My boyfriend and I stayed in room 1117 and it was the worst hotel stay ever. Everyday we had to call a mechanic to come to the room because the hot water was not functioning . Worst of all our water smelled like SEWAGE! Yes that's right sewage. Flushing the toilet or even showering was a nightmare.We complained to hotel staff and they apologized for the smell. The manager even went as far as saying they know that there is a bad smell and they told the sewage company ??? I'm baffled. There was no compensation for this at all. I witnessed a company (named began with a C , can't remember) that came to the grounds of the hotel and they took water samples from different areas of the resort. I spoke with the lady to tell her and she said they had already randomly checked a room on the 9th floor and noticed the same issue but thought it was the room that smelled bad. I would never stay at this hotel again and I can't wait to get back home.
