Our Opinion

The Krystal Grand Punta Cancun has great potential as a resort in Cancun. It's located on the tip of the island, making it a prime location for shopping, restaurants and bars. The downtown area is also a few minutes taxi ride away. The beach is also spectacular in this area. It's constantly being maintained by staff, making the lounge area immaculate and free of seaweed. OK food choices found here. There is a great variety to choose from and are well prepared. It does take a while to be served however, especially when during the peak lunch hour. There is a bit of noise during the evening. However, it's not terribly distracting and it does not necessarily take away from the experience of your stay.

Located in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone, Krystal Grand Punta Cancun features a superb location and one of the best white sand beaches in Cancun with breathtaking views over the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte Lagoon. This luxury hotel is located just a few steps from shopping centers, restaurants, and nightlife.

Top notch for 4*

Absolutely fabulous restort. Been to Cancun many times but this was tbe best place we've stayed. For many reasons, hotel was new, clean, great food and selection. Ppl the best! One exception of Paul concierge in Altitude tower we stayed in. He is not a good candidate to deal with ppl. The spa was exvellent. Pools and beach are beautiful. Restaurants are exceptional. The Grill was our fav with Jose, Mario, Alijandro and Eziquiel. At "O" resto we give thanks to Jaime and Andres! Thank you KRYSTAL Grand.

They Kept My Cellphone- Poor Customer Service

I have been very patient. I was a guest at your resort and you have done nothing to help me with my issue. I have called your hotel over and over again. During my stay December 24-26. I left my phone on the bed. Your employee Alexis Gonzalez said he found it and he would make arrangements to send it to me. I called and called and could not get in contact with him. Finally, hotel manager Gabrielle said he would make sure to send the phone. I sent him an email with all the shipping information (as requested). He said he received the email but he has not responded. I told him I would pay for the shipping. That was almost two weeks ago. I’ve called every day since and no one answers or they put me on hold and never come back. I WANT MY PHONE. This is ridiculous. I need someone to contact me ASAP about this matter. I am highly upset at the unprofessional way your staff has handled this situation. I stay at your hotel once a year when I come to Cancun. I will never stay here again. Please respond so we can resolve this matter.

Great location

Great location. The beach is nice. The room was nice and clean. The view of the beach from my room was nice. The hotel was clean and for the most part the people were friendly. Other reviewers complain about a smell and I immediately noticed it, but not in my room, but once I left the room, it hit me. It's more of a smell associated with a hotel being on the beach. Nothing to make me gag, but certainly not pleasant. Again, since it was not in my room, I was good. I was disappointed that our tub didn't drain properly while showering. Another disappointment was the food. Overall, the beach and location made up for the negatives and based on the price I paid, I would stay there again.

Hotel is located walking distance from hoteliers zone!!!!! It's a beautiful and very clean hotel, will recommend for anyone to stay, I will definitely stay there again. The pool was overseeing the beach and it was just a beautiful sight.

Departure from Ottawa fine other than almost 1 hour for de-icing. Transportation to hotel also fine. Next day went to lobby at 9:30 to meet with Sunwing rep.. Waited , waited nobody showed up. Asked at the main desk, said they were having problems with Sunwing. Ok. Nice start to vacation. Went to main lobby the second day at 9:30 noboby to be found. Luckily we bumped into her on the grounds. She said that she was Jacoba's replacement. We confirmed our transportation back to the airport with her. No welcome briefing. Ok. We also booked our free excursion in Cancun with her for the next day at 3:30. Next day went to the front entrance waited, waited until 4:00 nobody showed up. Ok. Also we paid more to be in an Altitude room and expected additional features as specified in your brochure. No beach towels in room as specified. had to get our beach towels like everyone else. No preferred access to fitness center. No preferred access to bali beds. Wifi in room only , did not even work on balcony. Could not reserve Dinner with the Chef as it was already overbooked by people not staying in the Altitude tower. Also very surprised that the buffet in the main hotel was only available in the morning.A short delay on our returning flight but other that that all fine.As a responsible vacation provider Sunwing should ensure that all services and special features as stated in your brochure be available to its clients. On this trip Sunwing did not provide all of the services and special features as stated. Sunwing dropped the ball. We paid quite a lot more money for these services and special features that we never received. Not acceptable.
