Our Opinion

One of the more luxurious options for those wanting to stay in the heart of Cancun. Le Blanc is a smaller scale resort that offers comparable service and luxury to that of any other major resort along the Cancun strip. Great lay-out and the rooms are fantastic here. The food is better in quality than what most other restaurants would provide. Make sure to check out the spa while you're here. It's such a great experience for great value! Amazing staff that do not fail to deliver. Overall, an amazing resort!

Amazing resort

We spent a long weekend here and it definitely wasn't long enough! The staff was absolutely amazing, so polite and friendly. Amazing views of the beach and ocean. The food at all of the restaurants was excellent, from snacks poolside to Lumiere. Would definitely return again!

Extremely average from a seasoned traveler

I was REALLY looking forward to this 3 day getaway with friends and we had done a great deal of research before finally picking this hotel. CONS: Our room was on the 6th floor room 612 and from the moment I stepped in to the room I was very disappointed. The tub area was GROSS. Stains and dirty. One afternoon upon returning to our room the freshly made sheets had nasty stains all over them. The bathroom area is small. They have a dual shower and the one side never worked, we called to let them know that and it was never fixed. The in room refrigerator was barely cold and we also called about that, which was never fixed. The "butler" service is a joke. They are never there and provide no additional services. I had booked a sunset beach dinner for my husbands 40th birthday and when booking it the girl seemed confused that there would be 4 people. I confirmed with a number of people at the hotel once we arrived that there would be 4 of us dining together for this special dinner. Of course once we got to our cabana it was only set up for 2.We booked a massage service and fish spa. We did have the massage but my friend and I wanted to cancel after she had a cut on her foot and was concerned about her cut and the fish. We were told upon checking it that was fine and to just let the spa know we did not want want the treatment. When we notified the spa they tried to still make us pay for it. Finally after a long conversation they allowed the cancelation. PROS: The sushi restaurant was good, french restaurant was good. SPA was very nice, great massage. Beach staff was excellent. We will not return to this resort. Communication among staff was the worst I have ever seen.

10 Year Anniversary; 2nd time at LeBlanc Spa and Resort

This was our second time at Le Blanc Spa and Resort; as we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary *If anyone is reading this, we were the couple that jumped into the pool after the ceremony*. The sights, smells and sounds of paradise were still as we remembered them, and it was great! Relaxing, slow paced (as in we just relaxed) and the service was TOP notch! Being out second time, we knew the "breaks" when entering; we knew about the timeshare sales pitch and we knew about the resort credits (If people would read the fine print on the resort credits; you'd know there are limits to them)The Highlights: Our room was awesome! Awesome view and upgraded since the last time we were here. AppleTV (though we didn't use it) and a TV in the mirror (still don't see the point) were nice additions; the slippers were still a bit small for my size (Men's 13) but made the best of them. Room service was SPOT on! Arrived on time and was great every time we ordered. We had an early departure (4am) and room service was available and came at 3am! Amazing job! Our floor butler was great when they (night and day shift) were available; I think someone on our floor took the words "personal butler" a bit too serious, as they were assisting other clients 80% of the time we were there. Can't fault them, they did a great job and we aren't the needy type when it came to our rooms. The pools and the hotel itself were always clean. Being an hour off out time zone, I'd wake up early and go to the balcony to see the groundskeepers working to get the hotel in order. The attention to detail was VERY impressive, as I saw them vacuuming sand out of small pools by the hot tub area, very saw any trash and didn't worry about seeing any. One slight issue was a high pitched sound coming from a door I believe by the Turtle area. Not sure what it was, but wasn't a big deal to us. The food was good...and here is where I sadly took a point away. The French, Italian and International stations were great, no issues with them. The Asian on the other hand left A LOT to be desired. The staples of Asian cuisine are rice, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, chilies, dried onions, soy, and tofu. Stir frying, steaming, and deep frying are common cooking methods also. None of the dishes on the menu included rice....NOT ONE! You could get tacos...at the asian restaurant, but my kung pow shrimp main entree came with noodles. Very Disappointing! Also, we first visited 5 years ago and the place has been "upgraded"; but taking away the Zen Garden wasn't a good look in my opinion. That spoke to the culture, as well as an expanded sushi bar and better asian options on the menu. The current menu felt "americanized" as the dishes were plain and simple, nothing spoke to the "foodie" in me. Which brings up a good point my wife and I were discussing...We are in Mexico; an awesome country with GREAT people and culture. Why isn't there any Mexican food? Not "tacos, burritos" but something that we can't get in the states? We asked one of our servers this question and he agreed that it was missing. He told us a Chef would make us an "authentic Mexican Dish" the next day and HE DELIVERED! The best meal I had at Le Blanc was one that 2 people had, my wife and I and it was home cooked! It was perfect in everyway, so if someone is reading this from management; please don't let go of your culture to appease the tourist!!!! Let your paradise; including your awesome food be the draw! The best meals we had were the one described above and the small eatery we stopped at coming back from Chichen Itza. In closing; we will continue to come and support Le Blanc when we can, but would like to see some of the menus and food choices changed. I overheard they are renovating in a few months; maybe this is the time to get some changes worked in. I would caution on catering to one specific group and bring back the culture that is within your staff and management.

Le Blanc 5 star great!

Le Blanc July 2017: The service at Le Blanc is incredible! As a frequent guest (multiple weeks per year) I keep coming back because I consider Le Blanc 5 star great! The pool water was walk in comfortable as was the ocean. A little seaweed from recent Gulf storms but not an issue. No problem securing a chair pool side or on the sand. Buffet breakfast is wonderful. Drinks at the pool swim up bar are fun and plentiful. 3rd floor pizza restaurant cook Santiago will gladly customize your pizza with as many toppings as you like. Waitress service around the pool for food and drink is frequent. The Butler on your floor will make your dinner and spa reservations and at your request the Butler re stocks the ice bucket in your room daily and every other day the candy bars/beer/soft drinks in your room refrigerator are replenished. There are several bottles of alcohol included and constantly stocked in your room. Room service 24/7 is also all included. No resort can, nor should it try to, be all things to all guests, Le Blanc is NOT a party place for getting loud and drunk, it is an elegant, quiet, reserved resort with soft music, great spa, beautiful beach and wonderful service. All inclusive does not mean to not tip for service. Make it a point to tip the incredibly hard working staff members...you will make a difference in their lives. $50 to $60/day is a good rule of thumb, everyone tips differently but a few bucks if they bring you a shade umbrella or towels, a few bucks at breakfast and lunch, maybe $10 or more at dinner, tip your Butler, room service delivery, and don't forget a couple of dollars for the maid that cleans your room each day. Tip as the service happens rather than at the end of the week because staff rotates. I mentioned the fabulous service at Le Blanc so let me mention just a few of the incredible staff that made our vacation that much more memorable and special... In my view the best waiter is Manual (Manny) in the French restaurant, he is service at its best. Head Butler Carlos is incredible, our 6th floor Butler Santiago was awesome. Laura at the pool never stops running the whole day attending to every guests requests. Guest services reps Leslie and Erika are the definition of service excellence. The General Manager Senior' Veldez has assembled a great team! Dinner Reservations are required in the French and Italian restaurants and thanks to Chefs Santiago and Rene respectively, the food is delicious. Guys please don't consider jeans and a non-collared shirt as your "resort wear" attire, super casual attire is for dining at Denny's not fine dining at Le Blanc. The best of the evening entertainment was the Jersey Boys cover band, the three tenors singing on the beach and also the Circus show is very entertaining. One of the most important things to know as a first time visitor are Le Blanc room/view facts so that you are not disappointed...Be aware that only the Presidential and 9th floor suites have actual sit out on balcony's as do I think a few corner Governor Suites on each of the floors, basically all other rooms have a "French balcony" which is a sliding glass door with only 18" to step out onto. LeBlanc is a 9 story building but trees block/interfere with the view for some low number rooms (01-05) on floors 1-3 on the beach view side and floors 1-4 on the lagoon view side therefore, you want to pay the premium for a room on an upper floor. At Le Blanc the service is incredible and the mantra at Le Blanc is ask for it and the staff will do their best to accommodate you..."it is my pleasure" as they say. You too will love this Resort!

Beautiful and Relaxing Vacation at Le Blanc!

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, this is definitley a place I would recommend. This is a very quiet resort and fairly small, but still large enough that it never feels crowded. Pros:-Short drive from the airport. -Gorgeous!! From the resort itself to the views. I could stay forever! The beach is very clean and the turquoise water is exactly what we were looking for! -The staff is incredible! They were informative, helpful, polite and very respectful. Couldn't ask for better service! The Butlers on the 3rd floor were incredible! They got the jacuzzi ready for us, brought us special pillows and did aromatherapy at night for us. We loved it! -The food is probably the best resort food I've ever had (typically resort food is a little lacking in my opinion). We did the romantic dinner for 2 on the beach and it was well worth it! Use the resort credit (pay the 16% tax that many people complain about) and it's totally worth it. Amazing 6 course meal. The main course was a filet and Lobster. Possibly the best steak I've ever had! - The restaurants were never crowded. Never had to wait. (Men, bring pants and shoes). -The pools are open until 10pm with service, which is great! We've stayed at other resorts where the pools close by 6pm.-Room service was great and very fast! -Beach service was great! They set up chairs and umbrellas for you and you can order food and drinks! Stay on the beach all day if you'd like. Cons:-We booked an Oceanfront Honeymoon suite expecting a great view of the ocean, unfortunately there was a huge Palm tree right outside our room that blocked about 90% of what could have been an amazing view. Disappointed due to the expense we paid to upgrade. The parts we could see were still very pretty. -The room was beautiful, but very small. Luckily this wasn't our honeymoon. I would not book this suite for a honeymoon. Probably a presidential suite (guessing those are bigger and have the full balcony). -The balcony is very small - only big enough to stand on, no room for sitting at night time. Would have preferred a real balcony to enjoy at night. -No entertainment throughout the day, very limited at night. Again, back to the pros this is totally fine if you just want to relax. It's quiet and peaceful. No loud music, party crowds, etc. -This is adults only, but the resort right next door is not. While on the beach you definitely hear all of the screaming kids playing on the beach and loud music/games played at their pool next door. Play some music on your phone and it's pretty easy to tune out. Overall we had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay. Even with some of the cons, we would definitely go back! I would highly recommend this resort. Just do your research to make sure it's what you're looking for and you can't go wrong! Wish we could have stayed longer!
