Our Opinion

This resort is incredibly fitting for those who are looking for high-end service and luxury amenities. The Live Aqua Cancun does not fall short on top-notch elements. From the time that guests enter the resort, to when they check-out, they are greeted with the most pleasant and attentive staff. This is a resort that is better suited for those who are wanting lots of rest and relaxation. The resort is farther off from the main strip where a majority of the action happens. The rooms here are spacious and luxurious. One element that sets this resort apart from the rest is the small details and amenities that they offer to their guests during their stay. Both a la carte and buffet items are the best in quality compared to other resorts that you'd find along Cancun.

Excellent!!

This was my first trip to Live Aqua and it exceeded my expectations! The resort was absolutely beautiful and had plenty of activities and things to do for the guests. The entire staff was excellent and really cared about the guests experience. The best part of my trip was the spa! Sofia at the reception desk was an amazing help and was very nice! She was really patient with me when I was deciding which massage to get. She thoroughly explained each available option to me and was so friendly. Sofia displayed outstanding customer service and made my whole experience spectacular! She was fantastic!I will definitely stay at this resort on my next trip!

Good but could be FANTASTIC

We spent the last week at Live Aqua. We have been to Cancun before and went to a fantastic resort the first time we came. When we arrived our initial reaction was we were a little underwhelmed. We had a very hard time getting food after a long travel day which was odd for an all inclusive. By the next day we had settled in and found it to be quite pleasant. The pool is really by far the biggest selling point. With a large area and multiple levels it makes for a great day time hang out. I do recommend splurging and getting a cabana. For $65 for the day you get a foot massage and most importantly a nice bed with protection from the sun. We had the best service from Antonio & Ale by the pool. They were both very pleasant and we got to know Antonio very well over the 4 days we were there. He was very personable and we enjoyed getting to know him. Ale on the other hand was sweet and happy every day. She was very fast and very enjoyable to do business with. In Fact we tracked her down on her next shift to tip her since we didn't have any cash on Monday. The things that I didn't like were lack of communication about events. We in fact had a very plain jane valentines day because we were unaware of an event they were having on the beach that night. They don't advertise much of what's going on and they aren't active in recruiting people for things. At our prior resort they engaged us in several activities including the day spa. There wasn't much of that here and that could be something you may enjoy if you want to be left alone for the week. There is little to no night life here either. It's very subdued and by 10 pm the place has one open bar. The food was B to B-. By far the best resturaunt was the Italian one. Their lasagna which is served as meal 2 acted as meal 1. But it's delicious trust me. Hidden Garden was a nice surprised and their orange chicken was out of this world for a resort. Portion sizes are much bigger here at live aqua than others so be mindful of that. Overall we rate this resort a B+. It started off slow but it grew on us and we ended up really enjoying our stay. As a side note the bar EGGO has quite the interesting smell...

Seven Days of Heaven

February 18, 2017My friend and I just returned from a 7-day vacation from heaven at Live Aqua Cancun, an adults-only all-inclusive resort. This is the third time we’ve stayed at the resort and there will definitely be more visits in the future! There are so many things we love about Live Aqua Cancun. Here are just a few.• The staff are the friendliest we have ever encountered anywhere while traveling. They were happy to help us practice our Spanish and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Equally important, they genuinely seemed to enjoy working with each other there and acted more like siblings than coworkers. Live Aqua was apparently voted the best resort for work for and we could see why. One staff member told us they all felt empowered to make the customer’s experience the best. They really made us feel welcome. Lots of smiles all around.• You can literally spend all day at any of the seven pools and not have to go anywhere else to eat or drink. Pool service was excellent; we never had to wait for drinks. They have a delicious buffet near the pool for lunch every day, including a wide assortment of fresh vegetables and fruits, several different salsas, rice, potatoes and grilled chicken, sausages and pork ribs. Our mesero, Roosevelt, was a joy to talk to every day.• There are so many great restaurants to choose from, from very casual to more elegant. We loved MB, which was upscale yet friendly. Pleasing atmosphere, piano music and great service including fresh fruit for drinking water, complimentary cocktail and 4-course dinner. Everyone loves the Cream of Habanero Soup there, which is why they posted the recipe. When we told Donny and Lorena from the Vacation Club how much we loved the soup, Donny got the head chef to come out to the pool and talk to us. We were then treated to a special chef’s meal that evening, which included a charred marinated salmon salad with greens and lime foam, habanero soup, beef and shrimp main course (the beef, similar to pot roast, was the tastiest we’ve ever had) and dessert of vanilla almond cake topped by pistachio ice cream with chocolate stick in a jimaca sauce. Hats off to Chef William and Mesero Vicencio!!!!• We were able to pick up a cup of coffee and fresh pastries at the little coffee shop inside the resort’s store every morning. Carlos was happy to speak Spanish with us and pick the best pastries for us to try. • The entire place is kept very clean. The restroom facilities near the pool were always clean, despite heavy use all day long by all the pool loungers. Great room service, too! In fact, when we told the room service manager (Victor) how happy we were, he had a complimentary bottle of wine and a cheese tray sent to our room!• There are two parrots who fly around the resort every day and have quite brilliant colors. You will also see very cute lizards who will eat lettuce and black birds that sing wonderful songs.• We didn’t use the spa services, but they looked wonderful and reasonably priced.• The resort is also known for aromatherapy. It was great waking up every day to a new scent, which helps create the Zen-like atmosphere. We encourage travelers to check out Live Aqua Cancun for the most relaxing week of your life! Gracias to all the staff at Live Aqua! We hope to see you next febrero!Emily K and Gini D

Great staff. Kevin the server in the pool area was outstanding. The PR staff Valerie, Susanna and Patricia seemed to genuinely care about us and our experience. Housekeeping did a great job. The food was average nothing was a standout. The beer selection was poor, no bottles! I really don't understand the hype about this place, my opinion. Our room was on the south side of the property and there was a definite unpleasant odor throughout our stay. Not sure if we would return. Good but not blown away.

Day Pass is great...avoid the FAVC presntn

Spent Friday at this resort after walking into the hotel on Thurs to check out Day Passes. Mike was great and showed us around. Wonderful personality and friendliness. We were quoted $100/person for 9a-6p with access to all food and drink except some steak/lobster station. Then we were told if we spent 90 min at breakfast we would get a cabana and one day pass for free. We just had to listen for 90 min with no obligations. And we could bring another couple who would get the same deal. Too good to be true? Yes. Better off to spend the full $200 for the day than to waste time on the hard sell for FAVC. After an hour and 40 minutes I asked to review the contract and was then branded as uncooperative and ungrateful for the 'gift' I was getting. At the 2-hr mark the 4 of us tried to leave and were told we weren't listening closely enough to the offer. Without ever seeing the deal in print, we finally walked out. BUT, the pools were amazingly warm and the food/drinks were plentiful and good quality. Just spend the extra money to avoid the unpleasantness of FAVC.
