Our Opinion

The Oasis Palm is a great hotel for young or student travelers that are looking for a great place to party. The party atmosphere can be felt both inside and outside of the resort. The pools play host to parties during the day and the city center is nearby, where there are plenty of nightclubs and bars. The food is OK here. While there is an array of choices available, it's nothing to write about. Their bar staff deserve recognition, as they are known for speedy and great service. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly by attentive staff. The check-in and check-out process is a hit or miss at times. Depending on the volume of guests coming into the hotel, guests might experience slower service that usual. This is an OK hotel. However, if you're looking for a resort that's known for it's laid-back and relaxing atmosphere, it's better to look elsewhere.

Popular with younger travelers, Oasis Palm combines the convenience of including your meals and drinks with one of the best locations in Cancun - within walking distance of shops and nightlife. The laid-back seaside and poolside restaurants invite you to relax.

Location: Directly on the beach in Cancun's hotel zone, 5 min to downtown Cancun, 30 min from the airport.

Stayed here over new years for 3 days. WOW i did not see that coming some of the things we had to deal with.-Blaring annoying people on the loud speaker all day in pool area...couldnt here myself think.-Miserable staff members, legit everyone here hates their job...and you can see it in their eyes.-Bar tenders are complete rookies, cant even make a white russian and dont take kindly to advice-the wifi is very expensive....? why does it cost for wifi it isn't 2005 guys...although your last remodelling was around then or earlier?-Massive waits for food.Overall just don't do it to yourself, your better than this. If you work hard all year and end up at this place you'll know you screwed up big time...thats all i'm going to say.

We stayed at the Oasis Palm and were not too impressed. The rooms were not the greatest and we were robbed. We ran to the store around 1am to grab some snacks. When we left there were two staff members with radios. When we came back one of the guys was just leaving our room. He spoke to us in Spanish and quickly left. When went in room the safe was open, passports, etc were shuffled and there was 100 US missing. Should have called front desk but thought we would deal with it in the morning. Girlfriend was pretty freaked out and didn't sleep much that night. We spoke with the front desk in the morning who stated they would do an investigation. We left it for a couple days and they stated that the key entry belonged to a staff member that no longer worked there and they would not responsible for the $100. You need to pay for the safes which have the old key entry and are fare game for whoever gets in your room with a master. Found the staff were difficult to deal with.

All about perception and expectations

We visited the oasis palm week of jan 8-16 and had a great time!... The staff on a whole was amazing which makes up for the little things like no mini fridges which would have been nice but not a show stopper... There was a few little things that could have created some negitive views on our holiday here if we had chosen to focus on them but ....minor issues... If your expecting a five star then you should pay the extra and upgrade. If your here to have fun and relax, go with the flow and you got younger kids, then you will have alot of fun...(5) Stars....-staff at bars(especially Juan at sports bar)- staff at resturant(thank u Jhon Brandon mesero dos lunas)- housekeeping(thank u Araida Ramos)...both over and above expectations....Cantina.. best bar by far -pools and beach 5+ ... we explored many of the beach resorts by water and our beach was largest with most chairs and space available..Beach area raked daily and staff were seen constantly cleaning up cups and garbage non stop thoughout the day.Read lots of complaints about lineups and cleanliness issues but did not run across these myself during our stay...obviously there will be line ups but not too bad.(4)Stars...-Kids club ...although they had superior ammenities their schedule and age limits on video games (6-12) and waterslide(height requirement) was a bit frusterating as we have a 5 yr old but this was a specific issue to us , not a hotel defficiency.( staff there exellent)-Food... food was decent and fresh but routine... .... resturaunts were quite good depending on yer tastes and at the seafood resturaunt gotta try the fish tacos..!(3.5)Stars.... -Rooms....allthough in need of updating beds very comfortable and kept clean. This was a bit of a dissapointment as she was expecting something fancy i had to reminded her that it was funtional and clean and we werent there for luxury. All in all alot of fun!..Gotta check out island and golf cats as well as captain hook show.. both best value!. Worth every penny!.. thank you Oasis!

My wife and I visited this hotel for the day whilst staying at the sister hotel Smart Oasis (see review titled what's going on ) so this is just our experience of the restaurants, pool, and beach area. Firstly our transfer was excellent and free.We purchased all inclusive day passes for around £20 at the Oasis Palm which at the time we thought was good value. The beach (full of seagulls pestering you because people were feeding them )was beautiful but extremely busy as was the beach bar,the entertainments team worked tirelessly and everyone joined in including me !!. The passes only included certain restaurants and bars the first we visited was a buffet style Mexican (can't remember the name ) great selection, well presented, and tasted good. We then did a little tour of the hotel grounds and pools,my honest opinion is that if your visiting with family and children what a hotel absolutely fabulous,if your visiting and wanting peace and quite with a bit of class thrown in your gonna be disappointed even if you upgrade The pizza and ice cream restaurant we visited later was truly disgusting and would be closed down by health and safety if in the uk,with it being partly outdoors birds frequented to excrement all over with no desire from the staff to clean it up,the floor was covered and had not been cleaned in a long while,we ordered but declined to eat there and left.Wouldn't go to this hotel again but I'm fussy to some it will be an absolute blast.

The hotel was very pretty and clean and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely a family friendly hotel and I would like to thank the bartender Indalecio Alvarez for giving us so many micheladas and piña coladas!!!! Gracias!!
