Our Opinion

The Oasis Palm is a great hotel for young or student travelers that are looking for a great place to party. The party atmosphere can be felt both inside and outside of the resort. The pools play host to parties during the day and the city center is nearby, where there are plenty of nightclubs and bars. The food is OK here. While there is an array of choices available, it's nothing to write about. Their bar staff deserve recognition, as they are known for speedy and great service. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly by attentive staff. The check-in and check-out process is a hit or miss at times. Depending on the volume of guests coming into the hotel, guests might experience slower service that usual. This is an OK hotel. However, if you're looking for a resort that's known for it's laid-back and relaxing atmosphere, it's better to look elsewhere.

Fantastic first time experience in Cancun for us at the Oasis Palm from March 5 - 12, 2017

My husband and I, as well as my mother, flew direct from Kelowna, BC. Canada with Sunwing Airlines to Cancun and had the most amazing experience while on our 1 week too short of a beautiful holiday. We stayed in a room with a beautiful ocean view and loved it. It was nice and quiet in our room while we slept. We totally enjoyed all the food in the different restaurants other than the Seafood restaurant because we didn't get a chance to try it out, but am sure it's delicious as the rest of everything was. Fantastic entertainment by the FABIAN Y SUS MONARCAS, but we didn't care too much for the other band they had playing in the other corner in front of one of the buffets. Friendliest and cleanest hotel we've ever been in also. The hard working people who keep the resort clean definitely do not get paid enough, nor do the other workers throughout the entire grounds. We really enjoyed our service by one of the supervisors named Arturo Abarca as well as the unbelievable and exceptional service by one of the waiters from what we call, "The peanut bar" and his name is Daniel Pelon. I strongly recommend that anyone who stays at this resort they should definitely not just tip the housekeepers, bar tenders, servers, but they should also tip the grounds people because they work from morning until night and keep the grounds and the inside of the hotel spotless. And, you should also respect them by cleaning up after yourselves by picking up your garbage and putting it in the trash cans that are readily available. We will definitely be returning and will stay at the hotel within the next couple of years! Gracias to all the staff for making our first trip to Mexico a loving, fun and beautiful one! There are just two things we do suggest is that they replace the bed mattresses in the rooms because they are getting a bit warn out, but we still slept well, and also the safes for the rooms should be free of charge also. We miss you all already! Love from your British Columbia Canadian friends! We shall return within the next year or two and bring some of our friends along with us to enjoy your hospitality!

Senior College Spring Break

My girlfriend and I went to Oasis Palm with 12 of our best friends from college for our Senior Spring Break. Me personally this was the 2nd Cancun resort I have stayed at, and 3rd all inclusive resort total. Beach-Ocean-PoolThe outside area of the resort is beautiful and is absolutely great. There is 2 pools you can swim in and the one on the regular oasis side has a pool bar. It also has a kid section but it split up so it makes it great for families as well. Going during the month of March it is more expensive to travel because the demand of college spring breakers. That being said you could still get drinks at the pool without a long wait.- The beach was absolutely great and everything you think of when you dream of paradise. Had a long beach access which was great because it got busier as our trip went on. The ocean was different shades of blue and had a big shallow area, but also area where you could explore and go past the rope lines. Bars......- Outdoor bars were great, they started having long lines at the beach bar so they set a few bar stands around the pool area so you could get your drinks quick. -Indoor bars were great also... Being from the states it was fun watching college basketball in the sports bar before dinner and after. For late hours the western bar stayed open till past 1am. This bar has seating outside which is nice. My big group even got a game of (Thumper) going on. People around us loved it!Staff - check in and everything went smoother then I expected and the Cheap Caribbean people at the resort were very helpful. We booked through Cheap Caribbean but the people were through apple vacations----Connected. Bartenders - Were sometimes overwhelmed and not as nice as other places Ive been too. But I think that was because the timing and the place being so busy with half College/families. FRANCISCO------ In the sports bar was awesome and his friendliness did not go unnoticed. He was very polite and so patient with our huge group. Food/ResturantsMy one buddy said the resort would be a 5 star, if the food was decently better. There is a variety of restaurants which is very nice. Lunch is very nice because they have the beach bar cooking up food till the sun goes down. Sushi, Burgers, Chicken nuggets, fries, hot dogs, nachos, Chicken Wings.... The best thing I had here was the chicken wings and my whole group agreed. I was a little cautious about eating this in Mexico but they were very good. Pizza lunch was good too.... especially if you have been drinking. Pizza was at the Italian buffet restaurant. - Breakfast buffet's ----- Very serviceable but I was disappointed and it was not as good as the 2 other all inclusive resorts I went to. - Dinner ---- A lot of variety of restaurants but overall not very good. I honestly had very serviceable food and I know it is very hard to have amazing food at all inclusive. A lot of people in my group complained. I honestly had a great buzz and was the happiest person in the world at each dinner that any kind of food was fine with me. Try the sit down restaurants with menus. There was good stuff on the menu... just not everything is good. Rooms - Defiantly not fancy by any means but they are still completely fine and did the job. My room and our buddies across the hall both had balconies. View was unbelievable.. great to party on before dinner!!! Bathrooms were smaller... shower had space and still walk in... so it was great. Bed ---- huge and comfy. Room was cool and had no problemsOverall---------- This place was perfect for a group!!! No matter the age if you have a group of adults even with kids you will have an absolute blast here. This place is for fun and enjoying a lot of drinks in paradise. The ocean and beach still blows me away and looks 10x better in person than it does in pictures. If your just a couple I would still recommend but you might want a little more fancier. But honestly it depends what you want in your vacations. My group wanted paradise, hot weather, lots of drinks, and to create even better memories. So it was perfect!!! If your a couple who wants a little more fancier then I would say maybe look at a little more of an expensive resort. But by no means did this place not come off nice or anything like that!!!

Stay Home

We checked in at the Oasis Palm, with our family and they gave us a room with one King size bed. We could have two beds for an additional fee. So we had to pay an extra $500 American for our family to have a vacation. Kind of a joke.

Oasis Palm weekend stay

After reading a lot of mixed reviews I was a little weary. I had 14 people going to the oasis Palm for my bachelorette and over all our experience was pretty good! Our rooms were upgraded to the grand oasis Palm, so they were a bit nicer then the rooms in the oasis Palm, and they were all places down the hall from each other- which was convenient for our large group. The food at the buffet was okay, nothing outstanding- the guac was amazing though ! Since we were staying at the oasis Palm rather than the grand oasis Palm ( same hotel grounds, you just have more dining options at the grand oasis Palm) is that you have slim pickings for dinner options - we ended up going to the same place each night, since the other restaurant is sea food, and I don't eat seafood. Also the reservations are first come first serve so we spend a long time in line trying to get our name on the list. The restaurant we did go to though was good. The beach was nice, a bit of sea weed but the hammocks are a nice touch. They also have yoga on the dock in the morning which was good. Staff was friendly, however we were a little annoyed at check in. We arrived early and it took a very long time for them to figure out our reservation, since we booked on Expedia. We spent probably 2 hours trying to check in, then we placed our luggage in a safe area until our 3pm check in, but then after we finally checked in we had to sit in our room and wait for our luggage to come up- which took an hour and a half. We would have preferred go just pick it up ourselves rather then waste our afternoon sitting on the room.Checking in aside, our over all experience was good- pools were nice, drinks were good. Also, when booking your tours through the hotel- they were very helpful and friendly!
