Our Opinion

The Oasis Palm is a great hotel for young or student travelers that are looking for a great place to party. The party atmosphere can be felt both inside and outside of the resort. The pools play host to parties during the day and the city center is nearby, where there are plenty of nightclubs and bars. The food is OK here. While there is an array of choices available, it's nothing to write about. Their bar staff deserve recognition, as they are known for speedy and great service. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly by attentive staff. The check-in and check-out process is a hit or miss at times. Depending on the volume of guests coming into the hotel, guests might experience slower service that usual. This is an OK hotel. However, if you're looking for a resort that's known for it's laid-back and relaxing atmosphere, it's better to look elsewhere.

I took my son to Oasis Palm for a graduation gift. A family of our friends went with us.

I have been to many resorts in Cancun and this was by far the worst of them all. The food is mostly buffet style and is not very appetizing. The one restaurant that you have to make a reservation to eat is still sub par but better than the horrible buffet food. The beach snack bar had burgers, hotdogs, and sushi, which were decent food, and where I ended up eating most of the time. At the beach bar you have to wait in line to get a drink instead of just sitting at the bar and ordering a drink. At times, the line can take a while to get through. The swim up bar had a fantastic bartender named Hugo who went out of his way to give excellent service. The sports bar was good and a nice place to go to escape the heat and play a game of pool. The room was dated and in need of an update. The toilet would flush, eventually, after 3-4 tries and when it did flush, the handle would be stuck and the water would run until the handle was lifted up. The room air conditioning, even turned down as low as possible, still left the room hot and humid. I would take a cold shower and sleep with no blanket or sheet to stay cool at night. The room has a safe but you have to pay to use it, which I have never seen before. I would recommend that you stay away from this resort and stay at one of the many others that far exceed this horrible place.

We had a nice time in Mexico wish we would have picked a better hotel. The hotel had a odd smell and the lobby was hot. Checking in Samuel helped us he was really nice. We was hoping to do early check and was willing to pay we wasn't able to so we had to wait till 3:00 an we arrived at 12. After we finally got in the room I pull back the sheets and they had stains so they had to be changed serval times before a stains less pair was found. Our trip was all inclusive which I thought was include free wifi which it didn't so we had to pay. The food was horrible breakfast was the only decent thing and the drinks wasn't good. They only had to flavors. Hooters was the only meal we had that was good. No authentic Mexican food that was good. That was heart breaking cause we looked forward to that. The housekeeper didn't speak English but didn't mind cleaning the rooms. The snack store wasn't open long so we couldn't get cold bottled water no drink or snack machines in the hotel. Far as events go the traveler agent people helped you step that up asked for Jose he helped us very nice he told us to call him if we needed anything Definitely go to the hip hop club drinks isn't good but it's a fun place. We went to some jungle like thing zip lining atv's an under water river and a meal was included which was the second good meal we had. Total package was $135 it was worth it we had fun. This would be a good hotel just need to be improved in some areas . But if your not really going to be in the room then you should stay there it's cheap and clean..

Ok

My friend and I booked this in January for June and were really looking forward to trying the different restaurants and the sun. It was hurricane season so weather wasn't great so there wasn't anything to do in the hotel. The main buffet restaurant food was nice and quite varied. There are 2 a la carte restaurants, 1 you can book in the day but you have to queue for ages so we never got to go, the other you queue on the night so we did queue 1 night but after half an hour we just went in the buffet. I tried the suishi bar which was nice and also a pizza which was nice too. There's not really anywhere to walk to, you can't walk down the beach as the beach in front of the next hotel is private, no seafront to walk down. Staff were friendly and rooms cleaned every day.

Ok at best

Decor is dated, rooms are low quality and amenities are outdated. Food was ok, but selection limited. Weather was fantastic, staff were friendly. Not a place for a romantic getaway. Good for a cheap short break holiday only.

The Freakn Worst Hotel

Please do not stay here!!!! If you value good food, clean rooms, clean linen, working elevators, clean towels, drip free rooms, friendly staff, etc. the worst experience ever in my life. When we got here, there was a terrible stinch in the hotel. Check in took forever, then when we went to elevator, only 1 out of 3 worked. You get in elevator it is so musty and no air. Our room had a leaking ceiling which we complained about but they never fixed. Asked for more towels and they never brought them to me. So saw a housekeeper with her cart and asked for more towels because we had to put them down to keep floor dry. She told me no, and I argued with her five minutes telling her why we had no towels. She didn't care, so I took them from her and told her to call her boss if she had a problem. After two days, we couldn't take the terrible food or drinks no more, so we started eating out. Thank God for American Restaurants.. so do your homework way better places to stay... this place is the absolutely worst so avoid at all costs!!!!
