Our Opinion

The Oasis Palm is a great hotel for young or student travelers that are looking for a great place to party. The party atmosphere can be felt both inside and outside of the resort. The pools play host to parties during the day and the city center is nearby, where there are plenty of nightclubs and bars. The food is OK here. While there is an array of choices available, it's nothing to write about. Their bar staff deserve recognition, as they are known for speedy and great service. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly by attentive staff. The check-in and check-out process is a hit or miss at times. Depending on the volume of guests coming into the hotel, guests might experience slower service that usual. This is an OK hotel. However, if you're looking for a resort that's known for it's laid-back and relaxing atmosphere, it's better to look elsewhere.

Falls short on food options

Oasis has a great atmosphere: pools that are clean and appealing, lots of fun and action, gorgeous beach. The place they fall short is food options. As an all inclusive, they fail to physically meet the needs of the guests. They clearly need to provide more dining options. The first night I was there, I was on line ( yes, like a Disney attraction) at 5:00 for a dining option that opened at 5. There were approximately 20 people in front of me. When the place opened, and people began to be seated, I was the 31st person and was told that I could eat at 9. That is four hrs from the time I approached the host. How can that be? The next night, I was told at 8:30 that they had no more availability. I went to another dining option and was in a line 20 deep for dinner. This is an all inclusive. It is the charge of the company to figure out how to provide the service people pay good money for.

Ok trip

Spent a week here. Price was good as a package with flight. Room was very nice. Enough pool area considering can also use infinite pool at grand oasis palm. Two buffet restaurants. For families international restaurant is good since has a nice serving area for young children. But noisy inside. Best to sit on patio if weather warm enough. We found the Las Palmas Mexican buffet better for us as just adults. Food was good to very good there. Good choices for everyone including those not really into spicy food. Both restaurants offer ready to made omelet. Staff friendly and attentive. If you want a chair near the pool, age old problem. Everyone comes down and puts towels and stuff on them very early. Just like a cruise ship. Beach area is good and can get a decent walk. Drinks were fine for local fare. All in all, clean hotel, good staff, and food, drinks adequate. The location is closer to downtown and can walk to ferry area. Disappointed in Isla Majeures. So commercialized now.

Enjoyed every minute I spent in the hotel

All services the hotel offers are excellent, The hotel manager Rafael B. Campo and the staff are offering best services to the guests. My wife and me consider this hotel as our second home, the rest of the year we are looking forward to the time we spend there.

Disappointing food choices

We booked this as a cheap package deal for a week, so really cant complain too much. It is very much a budget resort hotel catered to the masses. Whilst the pool area was nice, if a little rowdy, i found the food to be very very poor. The buffets were exceedingly bland with minimal choice for vegetarians. When eating mostly in the resort, if the food is poor it can ruin your holiday. In addition the stretch of the beach it is located on is poorly kept and needs alot of work.

Charged for a toilet

We were at the Oasis Palm from Feb 2-9 and our toilet broke. We were charged for this even though it was NOT our fault ($160 USD). We complained and spoke to the gentleman in charge of complaints. They agreed to reduce the amount to $114 USD BUT when we came home, the FULL amount of $160 USD was charged to our Visa. We are NOT happy that even though we have a receipt for the $114 charge, they still charged our Visa the FULL amount.
