Our Opinion

A really solid place for those who are looking for a decent place to stay that has good service and good value. Good food options for both buffets and a la carte restaurants. However, this isn't the resorts strongest selling point. This resort is great for both families and couples alike. There are plenty of activities for both types of travelers to partake in. For those wanting to partake in the party scene, the main Cancun strip is only a few minutes taxi ride. This is a really great budget friendly option for those wanting to get away and experience rest and relaxation in Cancun!

Great Staff

I've been to many resorts in the past and the staff here was the best I've ever had. The servers and bartenders get to know you by name if they can... Rodrigo was the entertainment director... he was simply amazing and he never sleeps, day and night he had activities going on. The food was good, pools are cold which is the only thing we could find to change. I would highly recommend this place!

Room was unacceptable for the Presidential suite....not what was promoted and sold to us

Staff really friendly, except the front desk. Had to wait 4 hours to get our room, the restaurant ran out of wine for 2 days, then the pool bar ran out of wine as well. Will not go back. Transportation to and from the hotel wasn't included.

Staff was fantastic!

Everything about Park Royal was great but the staff definitely stood out for my trip. The bartenders were great and were very friendly. One gentleman in particular, Rodrigo, was the activities director at the resort and we never had a dull moment with him. He was very fun, very personable, and made friends with everyone at the resort. The only small problem with this resort was that the pool was cold so it was hard to get in. But if Rodrigo gets you to play volleyball or soccer then the pool is very refreshing!

November 2016 Cancun Trip

Our trip with family and friends was amazing. The hospitality and service at this hotel is top notch. The location is perfect....close to everything. The beach and pools are great. Small resort with easy access to everything. This is the second time we have stayed at this resort this year. The resort is very clean. My only negatives would be that the rooms could use some upgrading Both times we have been there we had utility issues. Power was out the first time for several hours and this time our hot water was out for several hours. The entertainment is lacking and they need to add another restaurant and additional buffet options besides the themed nights and also kids buffet items. My kids had a hard time finding food they liked other than at breakfast or the outside snack bar.We also had to wait for check in and check out. They certainly could use a bigger front desk area with additional staff. They have made some great upgrades outdoors with a kids play area and tropical landscaping.

I loved this place!

I stayed for four nights. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They helped us find the best deals on clubs and restaurants. We booked an excursion through the Best Day staff in the lobby.on the day of the excursion, one of the staff noticed I wasn't feeling so well and held the van to bring me some hot tea. I was offered food, drinks, and towels everywhere I went in the hotel. My only complaint was when the buffet did Asian and American food night.I would recommend trying a local restaurant on those nights =)
