Our Opinion

The Royal Solaris Cancun is a great place to stay for both families and couples alike. While the atmosphere caters more to couples, the resort has an amazing kids club that is perfect for families. There are decent a la cart and buffet items to choose from at this resort. The grounds are well maintained. While the rooms appear older than what you'd experience at an all-inclusive, they are still well maintained. The gym area though does need a little bit of an upgrade. Great staff here. They ensure that you're getting the most out of your trip. Be advised that this resort does not offer free Wi-Fi.

The Royal Solaris Caribe is separated into two buildings - The Royal Tower has an exclusive American-style and the Caribe Tower has a relaxed ambiance in a Mediterranean style structure. Cancun's most complete all-inclusive resort boasts the best theme parties, fun activities including fashion shows, cocktail-making lessons, balloon contests, cooking lessons, dominos & ping-pong tournaments, Spanish lessons, and much more. By night, the evening shows are some of the most exciting in Cancun. The friendly staff of the Royal Solaris Caribe are professionally trained in the highest standard of customer care to ensure that you have a memorable vacation!

Location: On the beach in Cancun's hotel zone, 20 minutes to downtown, 10 minutes from the airport.

Loved entertainment staff!

We loved the entertainment staff! Martina and my son had a great connection and absolutely loved each other! We had an issue with our room but that was resolved and our vacation was amazing! I would definitely go back here!

Friendly but limited resort

Just got home from a week at the Royal Solaris Cancun. We booked the all-inclusive type of vacation. We had a very good time but there were some things we did not like about it. First of all, the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The evening entertainment in the theater (not a movie theater) was nicely produced and a lot of fun. The comedy show was the best. It was a mime show and very funny. The pool area was the best. There is a swim up bar and the beer was good but the cocktails were hit and miss. One time the drink would be great and the next time very bad. I think it depended on who was mixing. There are several spots by the pool that do have food. Do not eat the burgers or hot dogs as they are nasty. The sushi bar and brick oven pizza were very good however. Our main complaint was the main dining venues. Their main restaurant is Marco Polo and there is a dress code. Men have to wear long slacks. They will give you a pair at the door if you don't have any (me). The other two restaurants are both buffet styles and the food was pretty much the same every night. I didn't like hardly anything they had to offer. The last thing we did not like was the beach. It was very steep (for seniors anyway) so we spent most of our time at the pool. Also, there was a lot of seaweed floating up on the beach so on windy days one could hardly even get in the water. One final complaint was the bed we slept on was very firm and not the most comfortable.

Average resort awesome staff

We just got back from a Week long stay at this resort. While very dated ,it is kept very clean. My daughter and son-in-law had an issue with their room but the staff was on top of it and moved them as well as upgrading them for the trouble. That was very nice. I was disappointed with the buffet at la Fuentes, but the waiters and the lady making the omelettes made up for the avg. food and choices. Marco Polo is a must the food was top notch and Fabian is awesome. rosmarnius was a good place to eat as well as very good on the special Rodizio night ( Watch chicken couple pieces not cooked) Freddy was the best . The food by the pool was very good pizza burgers etc... . Nice pools and beach plenty of lounges. We found one of the best places to lay around was in front of the spa over looking the beach ( spent a few days laying here . This is where we met one of the best staff members (Armando) this guy was all over the place and was very nice to talk with and always smiling. He worked the spa and beach areas. Our last day we did the massage spa. And got down to the pool area late ,it was a bummer to find out we could not find any lounges left in Armandos area. He did sees us later and came by to say hi.check is staff is bad no smiles no greeting. Overall we would probably stay here again because of the staff . People like Armando ,Freddy, Fabian and others that I can't remember names of made our trip very nice and relaxing. Also grandson loved the kids club. Thanks

Will never stay here again

While the food was decent and pool activities, it took us and many guests at least 6 hours to check in. Based on this and our room quality, the standard here was horrible with bad front desk service staff.

According to my opinion It is old 3 star hotel with average food and drinks

The hotel is for young and middle-age people, who like crowd, noise, show, and dansing. Who agree to drink cheap (and very cheap) alcohol and a "beer liquid" instead of real beer. The food was mostly average, however some food in the only restaurant was very good. Especially prime ribs.Yes, the ocean and the beach are excellent!I would not recommend this hotel for the people, like 65+
