Sunscape Sabor Cozumel
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Sunscape is an amazing hotel that offers great value. The resort offers various different amenities and has amazing and knowledgeable staff. The dive locations around this area is unlike any other. For those looking for a vacation where they spend more days out and about should stay here.
The Sunscape Sabor is an older complex that is slowly improving their maintenance practices. I was impressed at how quickly the staff responded to any/all improvements we requested. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our favorite employee was Max from the Patio. We had great food, drinks and service from Max and his fellow employees.
Had a group of 51 in our group. Almost everyone got an upgrade to an oceanfront room. My room was literally 20 steps to the waters edge. Hotel is a little dated but clean, excellent condition and convenient. Great layout. Food is good. Enjoyed the Italian and Mexican the most. Breakfast omelets were delicious. Fresh fruit and juices. One person in a wheelchair in our group and the staff made sure she was always taken care of. Pool bar service was great. Alejandro kept our drinks coming. Beach bar was great and so close. Can't think of any negative except that our week went too quickly. Also I would say that this resort is handicap accessible not handicap friendly. Some of the ramps were steep but all in all it was fantastic. Would return in a minute. OH! Bring water shoes. The beach is nice but as soon as you get in the water it is very rocky. Great snorkeling!
It's a very nice resort for the money & location. Rooms are ok and for the most part food is pretty good ! I would recommend this property to my friends & other members.. great staff and with secrests right down the beach you have more to chose from ..
Great vacation only complaint was hard beds! The drinks were great the food was good. The rooms were clean. Dated a little but clean. Friendly staff. Maxamillion was a waiter most nights he was awesome. The Mexican restaurant was delicious. The buffets are just ok like most all inclusive resorts. The seaside bar by the beach was a good lunch option for not having to eat buffet. Market Cafa at "Sercrets" had the best breakfast. It is adult only so if you are traveling with kids you can't eat there. Excellent people!
Upon arrival we and the other couple we traveled with were given "Honeymoon Suites" since we were "repeat" guests, having stayed here five years ago. Very nice roomy suites right on the beach. No need to play the "towel game" as we had great ocean views right from our covered patios. Also had outdoor bathtubs (not hot tubs) but it didn't seem too practical to run hot water all day to fill them for one use. Cold drink on arrival, complementary bottle of wine and fruit in our room, the fridge was kept stocked with beers and pops. The room could use a little touching up but it was pretty nice over all. It was good not having to get up each morning to get reservations for the restaurants, I don't understand why some resorts still do this as everyone hates it. Food was good in all of the restaurants. The Market Cafe buffet was pretty good and is on the beach next to the abutting Secrets and is shared by both resorts but is adults only.We came back because of the beach front rooms and the snorkeling but it seemed there wasn't as much to see snorkeling close in as before. There were some fish right off the shore, sergeant majors, yellow rays, parrots, star fish and a couple barracudas, and more around the Secret's pier but fewer rocks and coral heads than we remembered. The main reef however is a bit further offshore. Every day the snorkel tours and catamarans would anchor about 150+- yards offshore for the "good stuff". Lots of fish, snappers, parrot fish, french angels, lots of coral, and last time we saw a couple large spotted eagle rays swimming in formation below us. We swam out a couple times but the boat traffic can be kind of high. We tied some beach balls with strings on to our suits for better visibility going out there but it's probably not the safest thing to do. Nobody at the resort seemed to care where people swam and there were no life guards so you are kind of on your own. We went out on the kayaks one day also.Nightlife can be kind of quite. They had a show in the theater just one night the week we were there but there was something every night, beach party, Mexican show on the pool stage and kareoke but these were usually over by 9:30 so you were on your own until the snack bar opened up at 11:00.We had a good time, it's pretty laid back but the drinks were good and it's got a lot of beach frontage which is why we went back and would possibly go back again some day.
