The Sunscape is an amazing hotel that offers great value. The resort offers various different amenities and has amazing and knowledgeable staff. The dive locations around this area is unlike any other. For those looking for a vacation where they spend more days out and about should stay here.
Overall a great all-inclusive resort. Good food, entertainment, activities, two pools and best of all the ocean just steps away! All of the staff was exceptional, but Angel Cabrera was above and beyond. Attentive and always a smile, he knew what you needed before you did! I'll be back!
Was looking forward to our holiday at Sunscape Sabor, Cozumel, its defiantly not a 4 star plus.As we do our homework before booking a holiday we felt this didn’t lived up to what was being offered. It felt like the hotel overall is being allowed to slowly decline into a budget hotel. We had booked two deluxe garden view rooms, one of our bedrooms had no patio, we requested a move and was moved the same day, however this was to a room behind one of the restaurants which you then could not sit outside due to the noise from the restaurant and the jack hammer next to the pool. We was offered an upgrade on arrival, at the hotel next-door called secrets at an additional cost of $1,100 per room for the 11 nights. At the time of our visit to the Sunscape, 2 main restaurants was closed for refurb and major building work was going on around the main pool. This left us with little choice as to where to eat, as the hotel offers weekend getaways everything was crowed and noisy from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon, during this time we had to wait up to one and half hours to get our meals. The three restaurant offered the same limited menu during our stay. As we were 4 adults, we did ask if we go could next door to secrets for meals over the weekend, we was informed no, although they could come to our restaurants which then caused more delays. At no time were we informed by the travel company that major building work was happening.During our visit we dived with Dive Palancar based on the beach at secrets, we could book a 10 dive package @ $335 a really good price, we could not praise them enough, they provided an excellent service, from the staff at the kiosk on the beach to the dive guides, also they provided a service of looking after our dive gear from getting it to and from the dive boat to cleaning it after each dive trip.
Me and my husband came to mexico for our honeymoon and stayed for 3 nights at the sunscape. The hotel lookes soooo bequtiful and luxurious at first. Got our room- big one with a pool and beach view. The bathroom is not so great, the sink had ants all over it, the bath had poor water flow and no hot water, which we complained about but nothing was done about it. The bed is not so comfortable, the couch in the room was stained and discusting. The hotel has 3 resturants which are nice food is good and good service at all resturants. The maid broke our phone charger and the hotel did nothing about it. As a conclution, the sunscape is just a preety shell of not such a good hotel. We told them its our honeymoon and they only gave us a 40$ discount for a 180$ massage.
We just returned from a 7-day stay at Sunscape Sabor resort. Family of 4, with two children (12 and 16 years). We had an amazing time!! Granted it was off season, therefore a couple of the restaurants were undergoing construction, but the remaining restaurants and food were very good. Ja’Mario’s pasta and pizza restaurant was amazing-wood-fire pizzas!! We had a second floor suite, with an amazing view. Clean and well-kept!! The housekeeping staff all took very good care of our family. Anything we needed was just a call away-extra towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, or our mini-bar refilled. The entertainment staff-Jazmine, Cesar and Geo were amazing!! Our son is super active and absolutely loved all the activities and sports the entertainment crew offered. Jazmine, Cesar and Geo all were very personable and fun!! They were always seeking our family out for the activities. We had the most amazing service from our favorite bartender, Enrique Lugo!! He made the best pineapple and coconut drinks!!All the waiters and waitresses were wonderful, but Johnny Javier Perez Ku and Miguel Angel Cabrera Cervera (from the Seaside Grill) went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of!! It seemed as if we received special treatment from “our” bartender and waiters!! We would definitely recommend this resort to others especially those with families. There is so much to do and see, no one will get bored!!
We like this place for diving, especially the Junior Suites rooms which have ample space for us and our scuba gear. We have been "members" since 2002. The property is under the third management team. There was a big fiasco in 2011, then AMResorts took over in 2015. We initially liked the place because the all-inclusive meal plan was optional, and we usually declined. It's now mandatory and the food was somewhat limited in choices. That was tolerable as we are not here for food but for diving which is always extraordinary with close proximity the best reefs! The property is well-maintained, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Spa prices are on the high side, and the new "water therapy" facilities are a very nice addition and well worth the $35 usage fee. We will be back again and again.
