Since our las year experience was so nice, we were really looking forward to our early new year’s vacation.... for two weeks. We arrived tuesday and decided by saturday we just coudnt stay any longer, forfited our stay and flight Arrangementes went back home.Reason..... noisy, pool was always open until later at night 23:00 hrs...... with children,I asked one night to the reception desk if curfew was not at 20:00 this was at 21:45... they said they would look into it... but it never happen. Desapointed for sure.We got a nice big room this time.... but the noise came in from everywehere!! At night was the people in the pool or moving furniture in their rooms.....One afternoon i decided to take a nap (for the lack of sleep the night before) and some work chiseling started behind our room.
Met lots of great travelers from Canada, late Dec-Jan has many kids and families. The location is in the middle of quick access to the many Huatulco beaches making it ideal for the beach lover. A large super store immediately behind the hotel has everything you want and more at reasonable prices. The hotel is very clean for it's age outfitted with everything you need and a fridge for the asking. Staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and attentive. Main doors are closed early for security and it's pretty quiet after 10 at night. The hotel has musicians for entertainment in the evenings, there are lots of other venues around the hotel for those who are night hawks.
We came down to Mexico with our two young children and VillaBlanca was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful in Mexican style. It is amazingly clean and facilities are modern. The staff are amazing and the breakfast was way beyond our expectations. It is a perfect place to explore Huatulco.
I am typing this from Hotel Villablanca right now as I sit beside their pool. We are a fairly low maintenance family of 4 (children 10 & 12) and have stayed in various accommodations in various destinations in Mexico. This hotel checks all the boxes - great location (easy walk to Santa Cruz and/or cheap taxi (30 pesos) to Crucecita. The rooms are basic, clean, spacious, we have a little fridge, our room faces the pool (the balcony is disappointing as they are small with no chairs, yet you can fit 2 dining room chairs on them from the room), after the entertainment stops in the restaurant at 9:30 it is relatively quiet. We have breakfast included and have found each morning to have good service & all you need for breakfast choices. We had lunch by the pool (lovely waitress named Lucy served us - big smile & friendly) today and again found the food fresh & tasty. The kids are enjoying the pool & as I sit here staff are constantly working - seems to be a well run hotel that is clean and an easy place to be....they have an arrangement with a beach club in Santa Cruz - we found the food quite good there & although you have to be patient they will get you set up on the beach with chairs and umbrellas.
This is a small quaint and ideal hotel that trends much closer to B and B than a resort hotel. The breakfast is tasty and vaies enough from day to day to surprise every morning, while the serving staff is welcoming and always cheerful. The rooms are large and maids are attentive and friendly. The pool and wifi are both better than most places we have stayed. In general a great place to explore Mexico.A suggestion for management about food handling though; You need to have the egg station server use utensils and not his fingers when he is assembling omelet ingredients on the grill, as it is off putting to have him grab peppers, onions, and bacon by hand and toss them on the grill. Especially the cheese which is not on the grill long enough for germs to be killed.
