Our Opinion
Beautiful hotel with excellent food, numerous restaurants,�kids club, and a night club and sushi bar overlooking�the ocean from high above in their lookout tower. The beach is not swimmable but they�have a seawater infinity pool and hammocks to relax in.

Barcelo Grand Faro is a beachfront property located on the Gulf of California, offering a picture perfect romantic setting. This spectacular Luxury All Inclusive resort boasts a nightclub located at the top of the Lighthouse Bar that provides impressive views of the ocean and a Sushi bar on the below level. Enjoyment and fun for all!

Location: 15 min walk into the town of San Jose del Cabo, 45 min drive to Cabo San Lucas, 20 min drive from the airport.

I went into this trip not expecting much. I usually go Hilton every time I travel. I will say this Hotel Group and this particular hotel are outstanding. The room's were great. The bedding and sheets were Grade A. I was amazed that the Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet was outstanding. Everything was clean, fresh and nicely presented. The salad bar was great and all the food was prepared nicely. The Chicken, beef and pork were literally what I would expect at a five star restaurant. It was amazing and especially to think they served more than 200 people at each meal. We upgraded to Premium and got a room facing the ocean. My only complaint is that the Pool seemed dirty ( really crowded) and the Jacuzzi was not hot at all, merely lukewarm. The beach is not swimmable. You can walk to a Superstore and restaurants and the entire area is safe and walkable. The spa is great and the ladies who work at the spa Licette and Elizabeth are excellent with massage therapy and booking appointment were easy. I wills stay here again. We booked transportation to and from airport with Hotel reservation. The concierge for premium guests were very helpful

Lovely vacation

My husband and our 2 daughters in their mid 20's spent 6 days at the Barcelo and were overall very pleased. We have all stayed at other all-inclusives. This resort was unique in that it was smaller than what we have experienced on other vacations. Pools were smaller, the infinity pool was our favorite. Music was low key and relaxing at the pool and we all loved the hot tub. There were only 2 restaurant choices but that was not a problem as the food in the buffet was always very good. The fish soup was my favorite-loaded with seafood. The salmon and prime rib were delicious. Almost everything was very good, amazing chefs! Drinks were good, good service from bartender/waiters.Our room was on the first floor which we liked. Our porch area overlooked the pool and was very quiet. Housekeeping did a good job. We had a later flight home and were able to use the hospitality room to clean up and change for our flight as check out was at noon. Front desk staff and servers were fine, not quite as friendly and accommodating as we have experienced at other resorts. The beach was very nice, clean, not crowded. Black flags were up (huge beautiful waves) so we were unable to spend much time in the sea. We were perfectly happy in the comfortable chairs close to the infinity pool overlooking the sea with perfect views of the beach, palm trees and mountains. The combination of spending quality time with our daughters and staying in a lovely resort made this a vacation to remember. We hope to return to Barcelo Gran Faro.

Bad experience

In the first place,the picture on the Internet,means,nothing???A brown kitchen,with,green tiles,sink,brown cabinets,shelf units,a huge piece in of furniture from 1800 's dresser to match,horrible.First day we used the toilet,the seat was moving with our behind,had call a repair men,I gave a list to housekeeping,4 shampoos,4 conditioners,4 bath towels,4 hand towels,that was an a Monday,the 2 nd,of January,I called,every morning to the operator,since housekeeping was busy,asking for the stuff,on Thursday went to talk to a manager of the hotel,telling her,the issue,and asked for how long I should wait to wash my hair,since is long??Next morning,was 12 of each product,and 10 towels????? Looked like a store???One night we decided to have a burger and fries from the snack bar,which it closes at 6:30,one hour later,I became horrible sick,never made it to the bathroom,every end was going,terrible food poisoning,fever,child,stomach ache.Few days later,was Mexican night,I had flame broiled chicken,which they cook it outside,looked good,and I had steamed green beans,one and a half hour again puking,dieria,never made it to the bathroom,all over on the carpet,bed sheets,night stand,I sat down at the table with my arm down,shaking like a leaf,my husband didn't know what to do,I asked him to call housekeeping,trough the operator,I don't know how many people came to clean that mess??Again ,the second time,within a week,beeing sick like that,I stayed in the roo,all day and night,no energy,and waisted two days of beautiful weather outside??!!!Talk to a Maneger,asking back two days of stay in a hotel,her respond was,need to speak to a General manager,waited few days,nothing,I went again to the front desk to talk to a general manager,finally he showed up,I explained everything from day one,his answer was,that they can't give back the money,number one,second,he needs to have a paper from the Dr.,I asked him,if he thinks that middle of my ordeal,I would go and see a Dr??no answer,????Howers later he had an offer,to transfer us to a Premium room,service,and etc,I looked at him,and asked him,if he was joking,we had one day left,in my age as a Sr,Citizen,I am going to pack and move for one night????I wanted what I ask for! Didn't happen,I am writing this for people to know,and overall their buffet,very limited,no taste at all,I had spoken to few local people,who were in their vacation what they tough about the quality and taste ,they responded,this food is for Gringos!!!I agreed 100% ,we been in different cities and a Hotels,once a year,never seen like this!Good luck,but the servers were nice,and half of them in the hotel didn't speak English,that was another surprise,thank God I know some,but,how about,the others????😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪

I am in room 2316 upgrade the room for 300.00 does not worth it at all for a week bought premium package I.e upgrade toileteries upgrade mini bar bubbly and petit four full bottle of tequila so far no upgrade toileteries no bubbly and petit four no full bottle of tequila no upgrade mini bar just chips and beer I got the only room with a rusty rail and smells so the package cost me 2800.00 plus plane plus 1000.00 of upgrade hope they will do something before we leave the 21

Great vacation!!

This vacation went even better than i had expected it to go. We stayed for 8 nights 9 days and loved it more each day. The room service was good and always clean. Fridge was restocked every day. The pools where heated and we spent alot of time in the jacuzzi in the evening. the entertainment staff was great , Ximena,Rod,Ricardo,DJ OS, Danny,and Jafet!! We played a lot of beach volleyball with them and water polo. Food was good, buffet always had steak which was delicious. Just make sure if you dont get premium that you go at 9 am to the lobby to make dinner reservations because they do book fast. We had italian a few times and sushi and both were delicious. Great service, very friendly staff and hard working bartenders. They always made sure you had a drink in your hand. Would definitely go back . make sure you take the time to wake up for the sunrise thou!! i watched it three times and it was breathtaking
