One night stay prior to taking cruise. Checked in after 3 pm and unable to make a reservation at any of the restaurants (except buffet, not required). Very disappointed! Room, pool and beach are very nice. Staff very friendly and attentive. No bath towels in room but they were brought up. Beer good, wine poor (chilled cabernet?), marguirita poor. Wanted Bailey's for night. Got poor substitute. Buffet was ok, breakfast buffet better. All around ok experience but all inclusive leaves much to be desired.
After reading other reviews about slow service, unhappy staff and outdated conditions we had low expectations. Not sure where those people went because this place was great! From early check-in to the staff to the food, we enjoyed it all. Granted we arrived a few days after the busy Thanksgiving holiday when we heard that they were booked up 70% and things were a little different. It was only 30% booked during our stay, so that probably helped. Just don't go during busy holidays if you can avoid it. We were able to check in at noon with no problem. Pedro at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We even made a reservation that night for the Italian restaurant before heading to the room and then lunch/drinks.The Italian place was fantastic and so was the seafood. The house wine is crap of course but that's par for the course at all-inclusives. We ate Italian twice and my husband couldn't say enough about the seafood. The buffet food was also better than other resorts we have been at. You can get a mimosa at breakfast too! Buffet staff were so friendly and happy. Deniss and the other girls were really fun to talk to and even though they see so many people every day they remembered our conversations. Alexis at the night buffet was also great. The bartenders were so-so with me, but my husband was a hit because he speaks good Spanish, so I just let him get all the drinks:) Speaking Spanish can go along way here for sure, even if you just try the basics and greet everyone you see including the cleaning staff. They love it. It was disappointing to not swim in the ocean, but those waves looked dangerous. The pools were nice but starting to get a little chilly as the weather cooled down. Even the hot tubs were more like warm tubs, they could crank the heat a little. We didn't do any activities except Bingo the first day. It was so slow that they were having a hard time getting people interested. The Mexican night show was so great. Definitely don't miss it. And take a bus to Cabo for a day, it's under 40 pesos one way and really safe/convenient. This is definitely a quiet resort, don't expect nightlife. We thought the room was just fine. We never used the a/c because you can sleep with the patio door open and listen to the waves crashing all night. We had our fridge restocked each day no problem. They did a turn down service the first night which we didn't expect and it kind of freaked us out at first that they had been the room, so we put the sign on the door every night after that. We felt like our stuff was very safe there, but we did use the room safe as well. We were set back but could see the ocean. We heard that the beachfront rooms can be loud if there is a wedding or beach party at night.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. It's older but you can tell they are in the process of making it much nicer than it already is.
This resort is very relaxed. Just enough people and activities to have a great vacation! Food was great. Staff members were awesome! Weather was beautiful everyday and area was safe. Highly recommend this resort to first time comers.
The workers here are very friendly! The workers we had a great experience with were Ricardo, Sinder, Danny, Singer, DJ Oz and Jafet. Although our hotel pool was a little colder than I like, these men made our experience fun and worthwhile! The food was great and service was above and beyond.
Went on a family trip to Cabo for a week. We had some troubles with our rooms on the first day but the staff were very helpful and eager to fix it & to insure that we were 100% satisfied. During our stay we were always entertained with lazy games and beach volleyball that the staff happily took part in - Ricardo, Oz, dany, Jafet & Cinder were really awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
