Our Opinion

This new resort located in Los Cabos, Mexico definitely possesses a fresh take on the vacation experience, with their risque and raucous entertainment. Aside from their contemporary and lively vibe, the resort offers fantastic and chic accommodations along with great dining options and AMResort's World Class Unlimited-Luxury Inclusions.

The Breathless Cabo San Lucas is an upscale adults-only, all-inclusive resort that offers chic amenities and fantastic events with their one-of-a-kind entertainment calendar. This beachfront resort is located in the heart of Entertainment Strip of Los Cabos, and is in close proximity to notable attractions (Marina Cabo San Lucas, Land's End, the Arch, and Lover's Beach).
Location: Beachfront on El Medano, a popular swimmable beach

Best Mexico Vacation ever

We love Breathless at Cabo the service was 5 star no buffets. Excellent quality of food and services. Fun pool parties daily and great DJ's . If you want a more relaxing spot they have another pool overlooking the Marina. We will be returning next month.

Second Visit and Review

I have to say that this resort while very nice is far smaller and luxurious then the larger ones they have in their chain or even the other hotels on the beach. The big selling point to this resort is the location as it's unbeatable with the marina being practically next store and within walking distance. However if you are hoping for the "WOW" factor when you first arrive as some other resorts give you then you might be disappointed. While the resort is very nice it is broken into two buildings which is manageable but unusual. The big disappointment here was the poor food service and portions served. Speaking to my earlier statement the restaurants are all lined up like a food court atmosphere one after the other most likely due to lack of the space in the resort. In 2 of the 3 places we dined they got my order wrong both times with extended wait times. However to be honest I could have lived with that. It was the super small food portions that were at times comical. Specifically the so called "Surf and Turf" from the restaurant Fish Net which literally gave you a nugget sized steak and a tiny portion of seafood. Almost every single thing ordered was ridiculously small even for a all inclusive resort. While I understand it's all inclusive and the portions will be small it's just my opinion that on some dishes they take that to far and some literally look liked child meals It was not all bad as the resort is beautiful and the staff is great. While the set up is odd the resort itself is very nice and the large pool is outstanding in its views and live entertainment. It's not a 5 star resort but I would give it a solid 4 stars.

Friends trip

Really more of a 4.5 but it won't let me do that. Went for a friends trip there were 9 of us and one of the rooms we utilized was the 3 bedroom, which is actually 3 different rooms. The rooms were very nice were very though and included lots of extra amenities in case you forgot personal items. The views were great, watching the boats in and out and the view if the rock formations. The service here was above expectations, everyone was friendly, and accommodating. Rooms service was so amazingly fast! There are 2 different buildings, one has the party pool( Isabel is the best server here in my opinion and Johnni was great entertainment), spa, restaraunts, beach, and the other has accommodations, quiet pool, coffee shop, and Bites restaurant which truly was my favorite thanks to great appetizers and the services of Gil, Jesus C, and Dahlia who took great care of us every day. The entertainment in the evening was very fun. We utilized the concierge and xhale lounge and they went above and beyond to meet the needs we had. Oscar, Omar, Leo, and Karen were great, ask Omar to make you a "white cat" it's very good and he is the only one who makes it. The music at the party pool is very bass thumping which is fun for awhile but started giving us a headache as it all sounded the same to us middle agers. The maids, turn down service, front door guys were great as well and we became very spoiled by the entire staff. Every employee smiled and/or said hello when you passed them from the groundskeepers to the general manager which I have to add, was very, very visible during the entire trip. We would see him in all areas of the hotel and it's very obvious he is a hands on GM as one generally does not see that typically and I was impressed with that.

This Resort Is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Stayed here from May 11-17th. The check in process was seamless - do yourself a favor and do the upgrade- it gets you a better room, xhale club and other great features. Our room was 1233 and overlooked the marina as they all do. The room was spacious, the beds, decor and features were second to none. The bathroom and shower were simply divine and the amenities were checked and restocked daily. The staff from checking in, in the restaurants, around the pools and taking care of our room were the best I have ever encountered at any resort. The restaurants - Bites for tapas was delicious and order as many as you want. Fish Nets was by far my favorite- from the delectable sea bass, soup/salads you name it- great cuisine! The Barefoot grill during the day was fantastic - superb salads and great snack food! Spoon was the buffet and I only ate there for breakfast but the juices/fresh fruits/eggs/omelettes/and anything else you can think of was creative and wonderful. Xhale and Purple (VIP) clubs had amazing food you could sample and top shelf liquor which I loved after being at the rooftop pool or beachside. The rooftop pool was a blast... foam parties, great waitstaff ( Williams and Felix) kept them flowing .. never had to walk to the bar to get a drink... EVER. The beachside is small but it's on Medano Beach and the staff down there did a wonderful job of keeping us guests in the drinks. Overall - hands down the BEST resort I have ever stayed at in Cabo and it's location on the Marina is walking distance to everything. Good bye Riu resorts and all the other wanna be's... Breathless took my Breath away and stole my business! I won't stay anywhere else ever again unless it falls under the AMResorts brand. Did I mention this place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G??

Beautiful piece of property!

We stayed at the Breathless Resort for 5 days in early May 2017. This resort is located in the heart of Cabo San Lucas! Every room faces out to the Marina, and all the restaurants are located looking out onto the ocean. Our room was wonderful - as we got an upgrade. Had a living room with TV and 2 bathrooms. There was a giant couch in the living room, that could of slept another person, and a private bedroom with a king size bed. Full balcony with a hot tub (that you have to fill up yourself - which we never bothered to do). You could sit outside and have coffee in the morning, or watch the boats come and go out of the marina. In the Marina area, they have a resident seal - his name is Poncho. Poncho waits for the fishing boats to come back, and if the fishermen give him fish, he hops on the boat's swim platforms and rides the boat back into the Marina. He is very vocal in the morning - kind of like the resident rooster of Cabo. There are 2 pools at the resort. The bigger pool is located on the roof, and faces out to the ocean. The music (in my opinion) is terrible. All electronic thump, thump thump music over and over with each song sounding like the last. Then at 2:00PM they crank the volume up so loud, you can't even talk to the person sitting next to you without screaming, so a lot of people gather their stuff, and head to the more quieter pool facing the Marina. There are 4 restaurants that fall under the resorts all inclusive umbrella. None of which either my husband or myself found ourselves wanting to go back to. Room service food was the big winner for us - The rooms are very clean, as is the entire hotel. The service is very good, everyone we encountered treated us nicely. It is a bit of walk to get to the center of Cabo, as you have to walk around the out skirts of the Marina (about 10-15 minutes). There are shops and restaurants along the way, with a high end mall selling high name brand merchandise. Once you get to the streets of Cabo, there are a million little places to shop. Do not worry about feeling safe - there are Police Officers on every street corner, they are trying to clean up the area from several years ago, when there was a big drug problem in town. I went downtown by myself and wasn't worried at all.We usually go to East Coast Mexico (Playa de Carmen, Quintana Roo area's), this was our first time out to West Coast Mexico. But Mexico is Mexico, with all the same type of food, and shopping. The one thing we did notice, is that Cabo is more for a younger crowd. This is the drink up and party people, and we are just getting too old for this type of activity, but it was fun all the same.
