My husband and I have been coming to Blanco twice a year for 20 years andwe always feel welcomed. Oscar and the guys at the front entrance are the best!We have also had the same housekeeper for all this time and she is a dreamand keeps our unit spotless. Such an amazing woman. Just visited last weekwith 3 girlfriends and we all felt so pampered. Freddy at the pool was five stars in service and such a hard worker. Also loved the pool aerobics with Angel.Never disappointed.
We just returned from a one week stay in Cabo at the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos (AKA Blanco). The facility was great and all the staff and services were top notch. Unfortunately, I can't remember all of their names. So I can't identify them all by name as they requested when I write this review. Maybe it was the time of year, but the crowd consisted mostly of older folks and just a few families with young kids. The party hotels are located just two hotels over on the beach if you desire more of that atmosphere and then you can walk back to the Blanco for relaxation. Our group of 4 consisted of my wife and I and our two 14 year old twin girls. To my surprise, the beach in front of the hotel is clean, nice & safe for swimming. They put out caution flags if the surf kicks up, but in my opinion they are overly cautious. However, my kids are all strong swimmers. The Harbor Master will also close all water activities (para-sailing, jets skis. water taxis etc.) if the water gets too rough. This happened on one day when we wanted to para-sail. It's nice to know safety is a consideration over making money off the tourists. There are a number of vendors who sell trinkets along the beach, but none of them were pushy and they all left us alone if we said no-gracias. However, be prepared to say this a lot when you are on the beach and in heavy tourist areas in town. The vendors are not allowed into the resort area proper or roped off portions of the beach. We ate the food and drank the regular water in the resort facilities without issue. The water has a chlorine taste so I'm pretty certain the resort water is sanitized. We did not assume this was the case in town and opted for bottle water there. We ate at 3 different places in town. It was all good.Overall, Pueblo Bonito Blano was a very nice place for a family visit. I've stayed in much fancier places and such hotels are available in newly developed areas east of Cabo San Lucas proper. The downside there is that those places are a fair distance from town and they lack the Mexico vibe. I found Cabo to be very safe. We road taxis and public transportation and walked a few blocks into town one evening without issue. As for activities, before departing we booked three excursions with Cabo Adventures. You can book with them at the hotel and all over the place in town, but you will pay a mark up if you do so. We went with the buy 2 get 1 free deal which included snorkeling with Whale Sharks, Zip Lining, and Camel Riding. I can not say enough about this outfit which I'm told is 100% Mexican owed. Cabo Adventures has the logistics nailed down beyond Disney Land efficiency, but without the cheeziness. Participants safety, comfort, and enjoyment are clearly the top priority. Similar to our experience at the Pueblo Bonito, all the staff at Cabo Adventures were top notch, well educated, well trained, polite, and do an awesome job representing the best of Mexico. All of the excursions included travel, meals (mole, fish tacos, beer, and tequila!), activities, and education regarding Baja history culture plants and animals. If it's not obvious, I highly recommend Pueblo Bonito Blanco and Cabo Adventures.
I just love this place. This was our 2nd year to visit. I just love the old style of the building, the stained glass, tile work etc. The staff is exceptional. Freddy Shanchez was our most awesome server at the pool almost every day. He kept our party of 4 very happy and full. Food was great. We meet the nicest people and made lots of new friends. We ate at the 2 restaurants, at the pool and some room service too. Found it all very tasty and always hit the spot. The vendors on the beach have about everything the same as you can find in all the shops, so, easy for all those gifts to bring home. Also, they offer a Glass bottom boat trip, I highly recommend this. You take off right from the beach. This place is walk-able to almost anywhere you need to go......Just Love It! Will be back as soon as possible I heard a rumor over the past two years that they will be shutting down to remodel soon. Hope they keep the old school style. Cheers!

This was my first trip to Mexico and I will not return to Pueblo Bonito but will return to Los Cabos. I simply didn't feel safe at Pueblo Bonito. The hotel was old style and while the look was charming, the rooms were not secure from outside. The front door had air/light gaps which felt unsafe, let in bugs/light/noise in the room and it was accessible to the parking lot. The beds were awful...so uncomfortable. I didn't sleep at night. The staff giving you towel cards at check-in were agressive by hard-selling activities and use tactics that again, made me feel unsafe "you are not here with your husband?" Really? Why does that matter? However, on the positive side: the views were amazing, the ocean was amazing, the pool was very nice and enjoyable. I had an all inclusive and 'to tip or not to tip' and how much was confusing. The service at the beach and pool was a nice amenity. When I didn't tip at a buffet that was essentially get your own food, the server gave me a dirty look. I really didn't appreciate the agressive behavior when I was on vacation. Two of us got sick on the last night and we only ate via the all inclusive at the hotel.
