Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
We chose to stay at PB Los Cabos instead of our home resort Rose. The resort is only 147 rooms and everything seems very updated, neat and clean. For the first time in 15 years we did the all inclusive package. It was great, the variety and availability of food was very good. We only had one meal/dinner buffet that was only so-so. But based on 3 meals/7 days, one so-so is darn good in my book. We sat on the beach at both Los Cabos and Rose, and one day at each pool. We had excellent service from everyone. They work very hard to make sure everyone is happy. The vibe here is a bit quieter and an older crowd (not many kids) which is fine for us.
This was our 5th trip to Cabo and our 2nd to Blanco. We LOVE it here. To start, it isn't a huge property, so all the rooms are good ones and you don't have to hike a half mile to get to the beach or places to eat. And speaking of eating, the food is really great! We always go all inclusive now. At Blanco you order right off the menu instead of always having a buffet. And because you can pay as you go, they are preparing your food exactly the same as that paying customer next you. Drinks are also really good without being watered down. And if you do want to go and explore, it is an easy walk into town. It is a bit of a walk, but less than a mile. And if you don't want to walk, there is always a cab available. We were there in April and it was $8 each way to town. And a couple of times we took a bike cab which was also a lot of fun! There is a pool, but I didn't really see many folks getting in it. They offer pool service for drinks and food. We had a remote push button we could use to call our server - who was attentive and awesome. And they have the Sea of Cortez right there! We like to get a chair looking right out over the beach and ocean - though you can get chairs right down on the beach and they offer food and drink service there as well. On the well kept grounds, they have flamingos, turtles, koi and all kinds of birds. It really is like a little paradise. They also have a "painting cart" where you can do your own ceramic painting. They have theme nights, but we generally opt out of those. They do offer special entertainment those nights. The only down side is that, just like every other place we have stayed in Mexico, sound travels easily under the door and through the walls. So, we always pack ear plugs and we are good to go. I also pack a hair clip to every hotel (even stateside) because sometimes the black out curtains don't over lap. With ear plugs and a simple hair clip, you can sleep as late as you want! This is not a late night party hotel (or at least it hasn't been when are there). For the late nights, you generally need to head to town.Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
I just want to say that the grounds and clean up after the hurricane a few years back look amazing! I was unfortunate to be in Cabo during that hurricane but I just have to say that I was FORTUNATE to have stayed in a Pueblo Bonita resort and was well taken care of! Since then I have been back several times and will only stay at a PB resort because of the exceptional care we received at this hotel in the worst of times! I am remiss to not remember the managers name at the time but he made sure we received our medicine when we ran out! He sent people out to open pharmacies to get our refills! That was only one thing he did! He did everything! They made sure we had transportation and food and water to send us to the airport! They did NOT abandon us like other hotels! Just exceptional service during their worse times had made me a strong and I know first hand believer of the way they treat their guests at the worse times! I have bought a timeshare since then with them at the Sunset but Particular hotel was amazing and looks great as always!!! On the neg side and just to report the truth their beds are a little small!!
We stayed the last week of March Sunday to Sunday. The first few days of our trip the hotel was filled with college spring breakers. They were partying and having fun, but actually all very polite. I felt bad for them because I'm certain they don't get the same service as adult guests/guests with family. Our hotel room was on the 4th floor amazing view but by the elevator. There were a few nights of loud drunk kids going out or coming back in and I did hear it. The rooms are not modern at all but they were fine. The balcony and view make up for it. Linens were not cotton...probably cotton/poly blend..stiff and sweaty. Again, the view and location make up for it. The location is excellent. The shuttle to the other property Sunset beach was awesome. The service was wonderful...Freddy and Daniel by the pool took care of us. We did do all inclusive and got great service. Rose sunset sushi deck/bar was great but slowest service of all the restaurants. Food was really good at all restaurants. No one ever got sick! Sunset beach restaurants were included and were gourmet..top notch. Great value for the money. The entertainment staff was so good to my kids. I have 3 kids...a 3 year old and 2 teenagers. Arline (maybe spelled Arleen?) was so fun and energetic and got them involved. She was so sweet to our 3 year old who loved fiesta night hitting the piñata getting candy. My teen loved the pool games. She won name that tune trivia! Beach is busy in this area but water was beautiful. We did get in the water. Pool did not seem heated and I was really bummed there is no hot tub. It gets chilly at night. Overall good place to stay first time visiting Cabo. Loved small hotel so easy to navigate. Next time we will likely try a newer resort a little farther out.
I don't have a review yet because I just checked in. I have a photo from my first location dining at Cilantros and a video of the room which I can't post, but from room 414 and the view from lunch. Was up at 3am to catch my flight and the Waze app was a nightmare but I got to everything on time. So far the trip as been average and why is because when I would order a salad the waiters said something else then what what I ordered but me being so tired from travel I didn't care.
