Spent 5 nights at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. Nice hotel and very quiet. If you are looking for a party atmosphere this is not the place. If you are looking for a relaxing get away without kids this will fit the bill. Transport from airport: AC Transport. On time and professional. Would recommend. Takes about 45 mins to get from airport to the hotel.Check-in: no issues. We were early so had to wait for the room but had lunch so no big deal. They are serious about check-in time so just know that earlier check-in is a rarity.Room: Ehhh. We reserved a Deluxe room and it's was just ok. it wasn't bad but also nothing out of the ordinary. It was a little small but we don't spend a ton of time in the room on a beach vacation so didn't really matter. Bed, desk, tv, closet, small bathroom and patio. Room was cleaned everyday but had a musty smell that never really left. We didn't complain but it was noticeable. Upgrading to a deluxe room was not worth it at all so don't waste the money. We only upgraded because we read you had to have a Deluxe room to reserve the beach beds. Not true. Again, don't waste your money. All the rooms looked alike.Service: overall it was good. People were friendly. Didn't encounter any issues (except Ana at Siempre in the mornings). It's not fine dining/5star but it's absolutely fine for what we were expecting.Food/restaurants: there are only 2 restaurants. The breakfast was good. Always the same but always good. (note, don't get on the hostess' bad side (Ana). She was just mean and if she didn't like the look of you she was downright surly and would delay seating you or tell you nothing was available.) We usually at lunch at the pool restaurant (Aire) which was fine and good for a pool bar. Service was prompt and friendly. You could eat dinner at the Siempre (same place as breakfast) or the sushi place. They are serious about reservations and even with reservations we always had to wait 20-30 mins. They had a bar so it wasn't an issue but you have to go in knowing there will be delays. Dinners were just ok. Soups were always tepid and never hot (not a good thing).Entrees ranged from ok to pretty good. Nothing was stellar.Pools: 2 pools. Both low key and fun. One of the pools was really warm and felt fantastic. Hot tub was large and people typically got in late afternoon evening. No loud music, no screaming activity directors which was fabulous. One complaint was the constant Musak music. it was so dated and got to be annoyingly distracting. just don't play anything or play "real" music. Chairs were nice and you could almost always get a place where you wanted. People do reserve chairs but if you are out there by 9 you won't have a problem. Chairs had pillows which was a nice touch.Bars: Just one bar in the lobby (sports type bar) which was good. Low key. Pool bar was the only bar during the day. It was odd because you HAD TO get in the pool to get a drink. The last day they set up a bar in front of the pool restaurant but for the first 4 days you had to get in the pool to get a drink. A little odd. There was a bar in the evening at Siempre. It was fine but s-l-o-w service. All bars had nice quality liquor and beers.Beach beds: $40 / day. Anyone could reserve them. Reservations are 9-5 and there is beach service. Service was friendly but a little spotty. We rented 2 days and thought it was worth it.Beach: Long and sandy. Typically easy to walk unless it was windy. You can't swim but I assume everyone knows this going into Cabo. Sister property: We walked to the sister property Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. You can also take a shuttle. Sky pool was fun. Beach front pool was ridiculously crowded and full of kids (this is why we picked PB Pacifica). Food was good at both pool bars. Drinks at the pool bars were ok. Stick to beer. We did go tot the Sunset Beach restaurant for dinner (The Bistro) which was fantastic! If we had known it was that good at the beginning we would have done all our dinners there. It's worth the walk/shuttle ride.Tennis: we played tennis almost every day. Concierge had equipment and it was not difficult to get a court time. Courts were in good condition. We did bring our own tennis balls which we were really happy about since theirs were dead (but they did offer new ones on the last day).Overall: nice low key property. we commented quite a few times that it was the quietest place we had visited for a beach vacation (this was a positive). Would definitely recommend and return but would eat dinners at the PB Sunset Beach property. Price was great!
The resort is very clean and boast one of the best pools I have seen and I travel a lot. The food is average and room temperature at best. Breakfast is the best time to eat unless you go to another sister resort. Everything requires a reservation for dinner. This is frustrating because the restaurants are always empty. There are great restaurants at there other resorts but they require an up charge so it's a little disappointing. This is a time share resort. You have to hear the offers if you attend the presentation before you get your bracelet for the resort. They should ask customers to keep information confidential because talking at the pool everybody was offered different prices for the same packages. There are no evening activities at this resort. If you want to be in bed by 8 or 9 each night, this is the place for you. It's a 14 dollar taxi each way to go to town. Adults only is great but adults like activities too. This is like a zen resort. You can only relax and regather yourself. Definitely not for most people.
First time at an all inclusive and we really enjoyed the Pacifica. All of the staff were terrific especially our favorite waiter Heli at the Siempre. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. We also received great service from AB the bartender at the pool bar who was amazing.
The hotel was very nice and clean. We got a newer room. Be sure to ask for a new room, building 16. The hotel staff were mostly friendly. The food was good but very little options. Not a lot of activities at the hotel but 15 minutes away from the marina. The spa was great and the massage was very nice. Gym is nice but no windows. Had a good work out there for sure in any event. The pool was fab! All adults with other nice guests. We felt very safe there and you can get a taxi very easily. I recommend checking out the sister hotels and taking a sunset cruise. This hotel is about relaxation though. They have a small band at night but nothing crazy. Drinks were good but nothing too fancy. Great for couples that want to get away. Very far from the airport for worth it once you get there. Bring pesos! Make reservations at pescado and the sushi was great!
Just had 3 fun-filled days at Pacifica where we had the best and most attentive service! From Butlers Miguel to Armando to Activities Coordinator and Tour Guide Gabriel and even nurse Laura, all were the warmest people and could not have been more helpful or accommodating! Highlights of our trip included our City Tour, morning hike, afternoon at the Sky Pool at Sunset, dinner at the Golf Resort, and boat ride to the Arch. Resort was lovely, rooms were clean and food very good. Though the wine selection was lacking, the cocktails were good and views incredible! So happy to have made my 1st ever trip to Cabo! 🇲🇽
