Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort and Spa

As traveling parents with 2 kids we were drawn to this resort because of its adults only feature, after leaving the kids with their grandparents. After driving through the picturesque mountain terrain of Pueblo bonito sunset beach, our resort, Pacifica, seemed to lack the character of its sister hacienda-like decor of sunset beach. The pro, however was its location directly on the beach. Yes, the beach is not swimmable, but there is only one beach in Cabo San Lucas that is swimmable. Besides, the tranquil sound of crashing waves at night is a trade off for not being able to swim in the ocean. We had the tower suite, room 1661, and it was a wonderful modern room with a super comfortable bed, linens and pillows. The only negative was the lack of water pressure and hot water due to the room being on The 6th floor. Our butler was Abel and he made this trip for us. He somehow always knew where we were and made this trip so much better by handling the small details that seem to sometimes get in the way of enjoying paradise. He led his staff members in instructing them of our dietary needs and everyone responded accordingly, with ease and seamless transition. We were well taken care of at all of the restaurants. The. Best food was at Siempre dinner and fridas. All of the staff members, including jonathan at the cabanas, Carlos in the restaurant and pool areas, Miguel the manager and all of his managerial staff, were well trained and worked extremely hard to ensure our complete and total satisfaction. No request within reason was denied. We were never told no, and even the chefs themselves came out to accommodate any dietary need that we had. For an all inclusive, the food surpassed expectation and each time felt like a gourmet experience. The quivera market at sunset beach has different sections including Italian, Asian, Mexican, a 50's diner, ice cream, a deli, and more!! It was very popular with the guests and was a truly unique experience for an all inclusive. Being well traveled, we were very impressed with the food, service and overall experience at pb Pacifica. It will be our home away from home for many years to come, thanks to all of the staff mentioned above, and the many we did not even get to interact with, but nonetheless played a tremendous part in our amazing time in Cabo.
My husband and I could not have been more thrilled with the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort. We had never been to Cabo before and were looking for a nice getaway with some of our other parent friends. This beautiful and tranquil adults-only resort was just the ticket!! The cherry on top of the trip was having our extremely helpful and attentive butler, Abel, to help us navigate the resort, its sister properties, and managed all of our activity bookings while we were there. He helped make our stay as relaxing as possible and if you are debating on adding on the butler service - I would consider it!Most, if not all of the restaurants at Pacifica and the sister properties require reservations. Which is a good thing! It is upscale 5-Star Dining with service and food that makes you feel like kings and queens. And not that we were incapable of making our own reservations, but it was just one less thing for us to do on vacation when Abel handled it and we had more time to relax by the pool or in the beach-side cabana.Speaking of beach, the hubs and I were able to participate in two of Pacifica’s super cool beach-side activities. One of which was the Hook & Cook activity where you are able to cast lines into the ocean right in front of the resort with a private chef nearby who is ready and willing to take your earnings and prepare fresh ceviche for you. We had so much fun doing this (despite not catching anything) and our chef already had back up fish just in case ;)We also enjoyed a private breakfast on the beach one morning that can also be enjoyed and organized as a romantic dinner on the beach if you are interested in that activity.**I will note on the beaches subject that at both Pacifica & Sunset resort you are not allowed to swim in the beach because of the powerful rip tide, HOWEVER, as pictured here, there are parts of the beach at the PB Rose & Blanco that ARE SWIMMABLE. Simply a free shuttle ride away**Overall, our stay was WONDERFUL!!We enjoyed all of the restaurants and lounging at the Pacifica Peninsula Bar where some nights a DJ would come by and you can just sit back and sip wine by the fire, or stand up and bust a move. Up to you!Prior to leaving the resort, we also checked out the Armonia Spa at Pacifica and it was DELIGHTFUL. They have steam rooms, hot tubs, and cold water plunge tubs. Free beverages, plush robes, and rooms for romantic couple massages. If you want to hear the waves crashing as you get a massage, there is also a beach side option as well.Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is a place you will leave feeling REFRESHED! We look forward to returning!
My husband picked this amazing resort for our honeymoon!! After the stress of wedding planning, it was exactly what we needed! The resort is very quiet and perfect for lounging and relaxing and renting a cabana on the beach! We enjoyed going to to the sister resorts for more lively entertainment and access to additional restaurants. We enjoyed the short ride up the hill to "The Market" - it was like a fancy food court with all the food choices your heart desires. With the all inclusive package, we were able to eat there and many other restaurants to our hearts delight. The best meal was the steakhouse for sure!! The Cliff salad was amazinnnnngggg!! and the views could not be beat! Would definitely recommend paying the extra $30 or $40 dollars for the steakhouse. We went all out and got the Butler service - Aldo was wonderful and was always available to help make reservations at the more popular restaurants as well as help book excursions. Ismael at the front gate was also wonderful! So happy and pleasant and friendly every time we got back from running around Cabo.Visit Chilean Bay for a less crowded, swimmable beach.Only complaint - the room service - slow and cold. Don't bother.Highly recommend!
This was a very interesting vacation. We decided to do Cabo for our honeymoon in order to not have to think about anything. The food was all inclusive and so were the drink so you would think that would make for an easy trip. Well some days were great other were awful. Pescados is a great restaurant. Breakfast and Siempre is a waste.... heard they closed it down for renovations too.The other lunch place is fine just not many options. Best thing to do is take the shuttle to the Quivera Market and have unlimited food choices. The only down part is catching the shuttle back. We had to wait 45 minutes for a ride back down to our hotel; but if you are not in a rush its fine. the pool wait staff was frustrating at times. It took an hour and half to get a can of Coke; when other people who were ordering shots got theirs in 2 minutes. They would be out of mint or out of food items at the time they would open which made no sense. Every day was a different problem. On our last day, we are hanging out by the smaller pool and the wind is picking up. We all of sudden realize the umbrella is not secured to the ground. we of course tell the pool waiting staff so they are aware... they keep shooing us off. so we decide to change chairs to a safer location where the umbrella is secure. And then just like a movie, the umbrella comes right out of the ground, start flying everywhere and almost injured 2 people. Then all of sudden the staff now seems to be panicking at the situation and pretended to not know that it was a problem- when we had just told them...Overall. definitely not all individuals are customer service oriented. It almost unspoken that you should tip if you want people to pay attention to you...
Visited this hotel with my sister and cousin for her Bachelorette trip, This place is amazing, the view is just beautiful, the rooms are perfect, was truly impressed, the staff was welcoming and polite, everyone says hello to you and acknowledges you WOW! Loved the food, many options to dine while your there, Loved how they come around with a beverage cart in the mornings, to refill you mini fridge in room. Make sure you book their shuttle to the airport the night before, unless you don't mind going by taxi, and at a higher rate.. will definitely be returning
