Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort and Spa

My wife and I revisited this resort for our wedding anniversary. We were planning on coming. Ack for the last few years. Originally it was not all- inclusive. We stayed in the Towers and had access to the wonderful VIP room. We were attended to by our Butler Aldo. Who was simply amazing. He returned all texts promptly and made arrangements for the Spa, restaurants, trips to town, and tee times at Quivira golf course. Aldo, along with :JosePilarEsmeraldaYomaliCarlosXavierSandraAlanVictorKeniaGuadalupeProvided exemplary service with a smile and can do attitude. It will be difficult to find another resort like this in the world.
This was our 2nd visit to this romantic, beautiful resort. Our Butler Aldo made this the most wonderful and special wedding anniversary for us. He took care of our every request to include spa, cabana and restaurant reservations. We had the romantic dinner at sunset in a cabana - he ensured Alan and Victor treated us like royalty. The food, view and service were impeccable. We were always greeted with smiles and kindness at the Peninsula restaurant by Jose, Esmeralda and Yomali. Again, thank you Aldo for an amazing trip. We can't wait to come back!!! Anyone looking for a (adult only) romantic getaway - stay in the tower and request Aldo as your butler. Nightlife downtown is only a 10 min taxi or shuttle to their fabulous sistter resorts to get your salsa on!!!
If you are looking for an all-inclusive, adults only vacation, this is it. My husband and I are always fearful of all-inclusive hotels because the food selections are unhealthy and sub-par. Not the case here. This vacation actually helped to jump-start our path to healthier eating (minus all the alcohol!). Every restaurant we ate at had the freshest, healthiest options...and all delicious! Not to mention the beautiful presentations! We felt like we were eating at five star restaurants most nights. The best meals we had were at the Steakhouse at Quivira. If you're looking to save money, go there for lunch. They have this sea bass with veggies and shrimp fettuccine that is to die for!!! The other great meal was at Siempre. We took others recommendations and ate at LaFrieda's which had a $30 upcharge per person. By the end of the night our bill was $100 since we were also charged for three drinks which weren't part of "the plan" (just Titos and club, a special margarita, and a Stoli on the rocks). Next time, we'll just skip that place.Another great thing was the option of taking a shuttle up the hill to Sunset, another Pueblo Bonito resort which is more family orientated and ENORMOUS. They had some fun, convenient and delicious food options or if you were looking for a little more action...which we were not. Pacifica is much smaller and quieter. If you wanted a little more pizzazz, you could go to the other side of the pool where there was more noise and action.Of all resorts we have visited, the staff here is, by far, the most attentive of all and SUPER friendly! Since it is a smaller resort, we felt like we got to know most of them pretty well by the end of the week. We also upgraded our room to oceanfront/view. The location was so convenient; we had the pool and all the restaurants right down one flight of stairs and an 50 feet away. It's one of the few resorts that we have visited that we will definitely go back to.
Stayed March 14-22. #1 the landscaping and beach are breathtaking!! Some of the staff are outstanding. Our housekeeping staff was superb, Jesus at the beach bed (extra charge) was worth every penny!, Jose (with the glasses) at Pennisula was great, and Allen at Seimpre was wonderful. The Sunday champagne brunch is an absolute must! The best sweets we have ever had in Mexico. That's where it ends. The food was incredibly beautiful....truly, but often lacked flavor. The poached eggs were always hard from sitting under a heat lamp. The menus at the pool, bar, and the Aire were all the same...exactly. The concierge service was awful. Made 3 requests for firm pillows from their menu in the room...never received. Reservations or anything else we asked of them had to be re-confirmed with the restaurant. Hate to wear arm bands and was made to do that here. Premium liquor (Absolute) ran our every day at the pool bar and often at the night bar outside the Pennisula. Again, the property is beautiful including the beach, the restaurants, and the look of the food. The follow through just wasn't there.
Traveled there March 1st- 5th. Beautiful resort, excellent amenities, scenery is amazing! Staff is very professional and they go above and beyond your expectations. Juan and Alexis will always make sure you have a drink in hand, Jose is one of the most professional servers in the business (ask him about his passion for hip hop)...they all make you feel at home and like part the of the family. Great food from the 3 restaurants on site - I recommend making dining reservations a day or two in advance. The property is clean and well taken care of. Beautiful private beach... The only downside is that you can't swim in the ocean, very rough!
