This resort is adults only, which for me was one of the best parts! It's clean, modern, and has a spiritual vibe to it. All the staff was amazing! We did the private dining on the beach and it was one of the best parts of the vacation. The beach cabana's cost $40 a day, but are definitely worth it! We had to head to the pool area early to get a chair, but it may have been just because of the busy Holiday week. You can take a free shuttle to the sister hotels, which was a nice option. It was fun going up to sunset to experience the sky pool which had an amazing view. I highly recommend this hotel, especially when you get free whale watching from your private beach. Yes, we had whales jumping every day we were there, it was amazing to watch!
Very clean property, exceptional service, great food and drinks. Transportation is a bit difficult at times. If you want to be close to the nightlife in town this resort is not the place to be. The room is great with ocean view spectacular... always will see deep sea fishing going on. NOT the place if you are a swimmer, you cannot get in the water on this side of the mountain.
We just returned from 10 wonderful days at this resort. Everything is first class, but we want to give three shout outs to extra special pool and beach servers, Sem on the beach, Jesus at the pool, and sweet Diana at the Pennisula bar. All the staff work hard but these three were extra special to us. The food here is gourmet quality, the entire propery is beautiful, and we've never experienced such a clean beach. We only left the place two times in 10 days which is very unusual for us. We will definitely return!
We arrived at the beautiful hotel around 1pm. Check in was painfully long and after finally getting checked in, were told that there was no room available yet and to come back at 4pm!!! We went to one of their restaurants to have lunch. There were 6 of us and only 2 other couples in the restaurant. The food came out 2 plates at a time, so some of us ate while others watched and waited. Some of the orders were wrong, but we ate it anyway because we were tired of waiting. This was pretty much our experience with the restaurants and bars at this resort. Quick to take your order but wait...and wait...and wait. We paid an extra $50 per person to attend a dinner party on the beach for New Years Eve. It was a beautiful setting and the staff worked dilegently to put it all together. However, the buffet style dinner mostly consisted of vegetables, rice dishes, bean dishes, salad and bread. They offered skewers of chicken and beef with only two chunks of dried meat on them..with vegetables to fill up the skewers. They also offered slices of dried pork. Again...beautiful setting, very attentive staff but the cooking and food choices were very disappointing. And...the waiting. It took forever to get a snack or sandwich at the bars as well as a drink! By the time you got your food, it was cold or had been sitting in the sun for awhile. Our friends went to the golf course for lunch one afternoon, which was included in our package. After waiting 2 hours for their food, they were told that they didn't have a cook. It was ridiculous. Also..at this resort, you cannot swim in the ocean. They have a beautiful beach but the water is so turbulent, you can't go in. They will scold you for getting too close to the water. On the bright side, we did see whales everyday. The other affiliated resorts had much better food and service but you needed to take a shuttle every time you wanted to go to one of them. It's still beautiful resort with much to offer.
Just spent 5 great days with the staff from PB Pacifica and it was truly excellent. The food, the staff, the facilites and especially our Butler Ricardo, he was helpful whatever hour of the day with reservations and suggestions. The people who work there are warm, smiling and always helpful. Thank you for making our winter a little easier with your sunshine and beautiful resort and especially your warmth. You won't be disappointed if you stay with them.
