Recently booked 5-day all-inclusive stay at this resort. The location and view was great but that's about it. The beach was not for swimming and the resort itself was too big for it's own good. Service was average at best. Here are a few things that didn't work well for us:1. The "all inclusive" package was not really all inclusive. a. Some restaurants charged an extra $30-$35 per person. b. Even on the buffet, some items cost extra. c. Every time you ordered something, you still get a bill which you have to sign. d. Worst of all, they cut off your all inclusive service before noon on your last day!! They never said anything about this until they told us that we could no longer order lunch our that day. 2. Golf cart service around the property was slow. You need to plan on adding an extra 15 minutes before and after each short trip you take.3. There was practically no information about activities and offerings at the resort. In fact, there really wasn't much else to do within the resort other than stay at the pools and drink. They offer free shuttles to other PB resorts but what they don't tell you is that you have to get tickets in advance (at least a day before).4. They charged for the use of their gym. As what seems to be the norm, they would tell you that access to the gym is available for all guests but they only tell you about the fees when you get there.5. Our room was spacious and had a great view but it was also showing its age. Water from the hills drained right into the hallways so there's always a puddle in there. 6. They cancel your booked activities without any notice! We wasted an hour waiting to be picked up for a trip we booked only to find out later that it was cancelled. Then we had to wait in line again to get a refund for the cost of the cancelled trip. No explanation or apologies at all for the trouble.I'm not even going to talk about their timeshare sales people!Overall, this is not a place I would recommend. it might work for folks who just want to enjoy the view from their rooms, the beach or the pools but if you're looking to do other activities or explore downtown Cabo San Lucas, this is not best place to be.
The place is beautiful. Check in was good. There were however a few staff who managed to ruin my perfect opinion. I have had a couple of occasions over the years where the staff is bold enough to think that because you are an Anglo american you have no understanding of Spanish and they are not smart enough to figure it out. This is a horrible practice and it should be forbidden. There should be immediate consequences for those who bad mouth you in Spanish because they think you do not understand. Service wise the cart driver Delphin was just plain rude and he was not the only one. The market service system needs severe improvement. EXCEPT FOR JAIME. HE WAS GREAT. The food was pretty good but the lines are ridiculous and the whole keeping track of the all inclusive system needs an overhaul. They are clearly not equipped to handle the amount of customers. I made a four page formal complaint to the desk without one followup call or letter since my stay. There were numerous people at the desk who were clearly upset with the service and accommodations. Their lack of concern for providing a good experience to their owners and guest was concerning. I truly hope they will come through these growing pains as I am a huge fan of the place but cannot recommend the all inclusive and not overall higher than average. We will return as owners and I hope to be able to give it a better review next time.
Wonderful stay we had, it is a massive resort! The golf carts riding around the resort added to the charm of this resort. We had the all inclusive and the great room service was included (Make a difference for our family), the food was amazing, lots to chose from. The kids/teen place were very helpful getting the kids busy. The Main Pool was clean and well entertained. In short, the place was perfect for our 6 days stay after our trip to LA.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a good time with our group as all inclusive packages. Food was okay not great as there're only 3 restaurants. The buffets La Nao has few selections and close @2pm???The Market closes @10pm including the bar??The Japanese restaurant ran out of Salmon @8:30pm and we couldn't order anymore sashimi???No night activities for guests. We spent too much time waiting for the golf carts plus they are noisy. Our room was leaked and had to move to the higher level building far from the beach. Staffs were friendly but sometimes take a long time to arrange our tables.Overall, it's an okay trip for us.
We have been long time owners at both Puebla Bonito Blanco and at PB Sunset Beach. While overall our two week stay at the resorts was good we are growing more concerned with each passing year. The quality of the resorts seems to be deteriorating. Especially at Blanco. At Sunset Beach the hot water didn't work in the 2nd bathroom and an electrical outlet in the kitchen didn't work. The room furnishings at both resorts are old and worn out. The food and drinks at both resorts have also deteriorated over the past few years. Prices continue to go up while quality and value have gone down. We are pushed to go "all-inclusive" which doesn't work for a lot of people who don't drink or eat much. With food purchases you have no option to avoid paying a 15% gratuity even when there is no service provided - at the new Quivera Market. We travel quite a lot all over the world and the Pueblo Bonito resorts are not stacking up very well against the competition for our vacation money any longer.
