If it wasn't for the lifeguard, Jonathan, we wouldn't of caught five fish in a very short time. He showed us how to set up our pole and line. We brought hooks that were too large. The next day, Jonathan gave us hooks. What an experience and I am very grateful for his help.
Our 1st vist to Pueblo Bonitor Sunset Beach was 2004. Spectacular! The view of the pacific as you drive into the resort is unbelievable! We've returned every year - twice in 2014 - and always been amazed. Lots of things to do (fishing, cruising, camel riding, golfing, etc.) but a good book by the pool with adult beverages does more to re-energize the sole than anything else. I love it here!
we own at PB/SB. have stayed there numerous times since we first bought 10+ years ago. never used the all inclusive until this trip. we bought it early, and thus got a discount, but it was still questionable whether it was worth the money. some restaurants are very good (Tazuna and Zao Shen), but some were only so-so. the breakfasts at La Nao were quite good, but dinners there were not up to what the competition offers (for example, Finisterra). we didn't opt to use the La Frida or the gold club steakhouse (both charge extra). no entertainment was a noticeable downer. finisterra had something every night. had constant trouble with the Wi-Fi, and had to get help every day to be able to use it.rooms are still nice, but there were no paper towels or dish detergent or sponges. staff is still outstanding. a special shout out to moisis mala at the front desk. helped us get a good view. need a shuttle to town, not just to the other PB resorts. we spend over $100 just getting to the boat and jewelry store.PBSB gets a lot of knocks because of their location, and because it is built into a rather steep hill. carts are available with very little notice, and walking is good for you. the location problem re:downtown Cabo could be handled with some sort of shuttle service. management better look into it or they are going to lose out to the competition closer to town.
We are timeshare owners and this was our fourth stay.Missed our trip in '14 because of the hurricane. This is a first class facility, 5 pools ,spa, gym and multiple restaurants. We did all inclusive for three days -was not worth the price for us as we feed and boozed ourselves for less than $150 for four days.
This review is written after attempting to get in touch with the Front Desk Manager, Rosalia Guevara, that we were told to call. We have not heard back on email or phone and both forms of communication were relayed to them. That sums up the service part which starts from the top.Anyways, our 1st four days at Villa Del Palmar were awesome. Friendly staff, decent food and clean rooms. The resort was smaller than Sunset but if i go back to cabo i would stay at Villa Del Palmar and not Pueble Bonito Sunset. We were arriving at Pueblo Sunset on Sunday and called a day earlier to make sure 1. We could check in earlier and wait for a room and have access to all amenities until the room was ready (check in time 4pm) 2. I could watch the NFL game if i arrived early. Keep in mind check out at VIlla was not until 12 noon but if all was available we wanted to be at Pueblo early. We got there at 10am to be told nothing will work till 12 noon. We asked the person checking in where i could watch the game and i was sent all the way down to a bar. Getting there i was told the bar doesnt open till 4pm. Really, the front desk staff dont even know what goes on in the resort?Golf carts refused to give us a ride in the middle of nowhere because we had not called them? Yet they were dropping someone off right infront of us and had phones with them. Guests apparently are not aware of where the kids pool is. Our kids were told to go play somewhere else when they got into the bigger pool by the kiddie pool (which was confirmed to be all kiddie area). It is the pool right below this one that is the adult pool. May be they need to put more clear signs.Bartenders are very rude. I understand you close at 5pm but there are nicer ways to treat your guests when they come at 5.05 and ask for something rather than screaming. God they may not even know your timings.Breakfast time we asked to sit outside. I saw the same size table outside, available, just that it needed 2 more chairs to make it 4. The hostess simply said there is no space outside. I am looking at it and looking at her directly and could not believe that they have such lazy employees. For god sake this is the hospitality business.Service almost every where was pathetic and slow. We checked with a few people who owned time shares there and they also acknowledged that the service has deteriorated drastically in the past 3 years. The one positive thing i saw was that the resort is nice. Other than that i wish i had spent my money and time at Villa Del Palmar the rest of the 3 days as well. Oh well.By the way for those who love the beach there is no swimming at the Sunset in the ocean. You need to take a shuttle 20 minutes into downtown. If anything I would think this would prompt a response.
