Our Opinion

Great property for all... families, couples, young, and old. It's very active with a great kids club (water slides, playground, indoor area with lots of activities for kids). It's a medium size resort with a quiet pool as well as a busy pool. Good food and lots to do for everyone. It deserves a high four star rating.


This beautifully designed Mexican/Californian style resort provides impeccable standards of comfort and luxury. Spacious accommodations, great facilities and a beautiful beachfront location ensure success with even the most discerning traveller.

Location: On the beach in San Jose del Cabo, 5 min to San Jose, 30 min to Cabo San Lucas, 15 min from the airport. Note: Strong ocean surf and undertow, swimming not recommended.

Good experience for the price

Hotel staff was awesome, hotel was under renovations. The hotel is older and if you go expecting a five star resort you wont be impressed. We had a very clean room and meals were good except for the buffet one night. Marco Polo restaurant was always good. Cant say enough good things about the people who worked at this hotel, better service here than a lot of the more expensive reports I have stayed at. Our concierge did an excellent job, Thanks Santos!!

Customer Service= Wonderful

We came for a wedding and enjoyed Royal Solaris. Santos was our go to guy and helped find a couple amazing restaurants along with where to go shop around in town. He really did his part to make us feel welcome and important!!! I wish there was a couple more all inclusive food options, but beyond that food was tasty!Overall we will be back!

Cafe solaris and members lounge

Manuel Castro was our breakfast waiter also full moon dinner waiter. Friendly and he is excellent. Our waiters Alberto and the other bartender where excellent. All the staff where very friendly, but as restaurant owner these three, where excellent.The hotel need updating and could be a bit cleaner and refreshed.

Royal Solaris (Los Cabos)

My wife an I have been members at the Royal Solaris in Los Cabos for 10 years. Each year we return, we return to "family." Our visit October 8-15 was no exception. The members' arrival area provided outstanding support during our visit, especially Viry and Ana; always smiling and eager to please. Our daily breakfast at Rosmarinus, overlooking the sea, is always enjoyable. Samantha greets us by name, with a beautiful smile. Matias and Martin are outstanding wait staff who do everything they can to make our morning start on a positive note. Los Cabos experienced a hurricane a few weeks before our arrival; consequently, the main pool was closed for three days of repairs when we arrived. Rather than not have a pool available to its guests, Solaris arranged for its guests to use the next door resort (Barceló); what a great idea! And, as a consolation for not being able to use the Solaris pool, we were offered a free snorkel tour. Can't be much more accommodating than that!We made reservations and dined at Pancho's (Mexican) and Marco Polo (Fine dining). As always, the food was excellent. Paco (at Marco Polo) remembered us by name and made us feel like family. The entertainment staff had changed entirely since our last visit, except for the outstanding Moto Moto (Erik). Everything that can be said about him has been said. Everyone loves him - kids & adults alike. Whether the entertainment staff is at the pool or performing at the nightly shows, they leave the guests with big smiles. On this visit, we were accompanied by friends who had never been to Los Cabos. At the end of our visit, they remarked at how friendly everyone was, they saw the extra effort put in to make our stay the best possible, and they clearly understood why we keep coming back.

Just okay

Let me start by saying that the staff is incredibly friendly and will remember you by name. However, upon checking into my room it was dirty and still had trash in the can as well as the A/C wasn't functioning. I give props to the staff for quickly correcting it, but it never should have happened. Food quality is also subpar, I've spent my time in many all inclusives and I enjoy that the food is more authentic than simply catering to American tastes. It just feels as if the quality is as low as possible. Spent the entire week dining at restaurants around the hotel instead.

If selecting an all-inclusive resort option, the package will also include the all-inclusive features as outlined by each resort.
