El Cid Granada is located in the Golden Zone, within walking distance from the main shopping and dining district. You'll love the pleasant comfort of this three story, Mexican-style, low-rise hotel built around beautiful gardens. The serenity and beauty of the swimming pool are unique. It is located a few steps away from El Cid's Golf and Tennis facilities. Accessible to El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel through Sky Bridge.

Location: Across from the beach and 8 min to downtown Mazatlan.

EL Cid Granada

Large rooms, clean, Great staff, good restaurant. Across the street from the beach but easy access through walkway over road and into other El Cid property. Beach is fantastic, very clean and walkable.

In the middle of town

Checked into Granada today. The suite was very nicely updated. Clean and comfortable. The pool area was closed for updating. Check in was quick and painless. Very pleasant experience. Will be trying the other parts of the resort later this week.

this hotel was not what I expected there was construction from 7am to 10pm was so noisy that you could hardly speak to each other and then from 10pm till 3am the disco noise was so bad that we could not sleep at night went to hotel manager and he said there was nothing he could do. I thought he might have moved us to a quieter area but no we spent a miserable 2 weeks with trying to cope with the noise had no safe for days and then went down and wanted Hotel to responsible it anything was stolen and low and behold there was a knock at the door and a safe was installed

Third trip to El Cid

I've stayed last two years at Granada, mainly because it is just across the street from the golf course, but noticed that the resort has reduced services this year. The Patio restaurant was closed a few days and even when open during the day I had to go to the door to get anybody to come out to serve food or drinks poolside. The only activity seemed to be aquasize once a week. The upside was that there was never more than a dozen people around the pool, got pick of chairs, etc. (Probably reason for reduced service)The rooms are advertised as garden view but that consists of a couple palm trees between balcony and road & tennis courts, although a couple of iguanas in the trees made it a bit interesting. Unfortunately for a couple days they were replacing the cobblestone street with concrete and the trucks showed up at 6:00 AM with motors revving..If you go the all inclusive route the main restaurant with the dinner shows is across the street/walkway at El Moro but isn't a big deal to walk and food is very acceptable. While the rooms are well equipped (albeit small fridge) best plan is to spend other place during day. If you want sun on your deck that won't happen any time of day.I would recommend here if you wan't quiet pool days to read a book or are golfing/playing tennis every day. The option is always there to access the facilities at the other resort hotels too.

EL CID Mazatlan Vacation

This was my 6th visit to El Cid Granada. This time I came with my family. The Granada is a smaller and quieter hotel than the sister hotels, however, there was lots of construction going on just out front on the road during our stay, and the noise started early and went on quite late. Construction is construction....I really enjoy being able to use the facilities at the other El Cid hotels. The entertainment crew at Castilla and Moro are fantastic. Cinthya, Cesar, Frank, Ruben and Geraldo kept us very entertained with aquasize, Mexican lotteria, bingo, evening entertainment and more. Roberto and others provided top notch bar service at the Castilla beach and pool. Bar service at Granada can be sparse, which was a little disappointing. We had some questions so Jesus, the pool concierge, provided excellent customer care and was not happy until we were happy. A la carte restaurants need to be booked 24 hours in advance. We also enjoyed evening buffet and the entertainment crew, receiving great service from Esteban and Christopher, to name a few. Our maids provided the extra touch with extra duvets, pillows and towel art.We enjoyed our two weeks and I look forward being spoiled by the friendly staff on my next visit.
