Relax by the brand new pool which leads you directly to a sandy beach. Admire the beautiful sunset view from the renovated lobby bar, accomanied by the entertaining sounds of live music.

Great place to grab lunch

My wife and I stopped here as part of a bus tour... Decided to try the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Location is very scenic, right on the beach, food was a bit Americanized, but the flavors were excellent.Service could have been better, but overall a good experience.

One month stayb

We stayed at 'this hotel for 1 month in Feb. of 207. The hotel staff were great. Front desk people always happy to help out. Waiters in resturant very friendly. Pool was nice but very cold. Was not happy that when the cruise ships were in they took all the lounge chairs and the hotel guests could not find any to spend time at the pool. We are guest there also so should maybe they look and getting extra chairs fo the hotel guests. We were in the rooms that were remodelled they are very nice and bright. The room cleaning could be better as dust under bed and futon and fridge looked like it hard been there for a while. We stayed there many years ago and was good. The location is great as on the beach and with in walking distance to some great restaurants and shopS. Would stay there again as was a great stay other than the things i stated

Lunch at the beach

We were in Mazatlan for the day (off a cruise ship) and ended up at this location for lunch. The food was good, the drinks were better and the location was great...on the beach! (actually, the chips and guacamole is amazing!) We were traveling with someone who needed a restroom with handicap accessibility and this worked fine, although a bit tight.

Las Flores

Hello.. spent 8 days here in February 2017. Love this hotel! This is the 3rd time we stayed there, and our favorite place to stay. Best of all, the location is great. Beautiful beach, and close to a lot of great restaurants. This was the first time that breakfast was included, which was really nice. Staff were excellent, and even though the "American breakfast" was the only thing included in the free breakfast, they did let us improvise a bit.Our room was on the 3rd floor, beautiful view from the balcony, overlooking the ocean. The rooms looked new. 2 beds, kitchenette. Very nice and clean. The safety deposit boxes are still at the front desk, but easily accessible.Overall, everyone that worked there was super friendly. Loved our room, would definitely go back.

High Fee for WiFi at Las Flores

The other reviews here — including my own from 2010 — will extoll the various virtues of the Las Flores, but you may have missed the fact about a wifi fee being imposed at some point over the past couple of years. Unless I'm mistaken, most hotels in Mazatlan provide free internet, and certainly the Las Flores used to do so too. (The last time I was charged a fee for internet access was at the El Cid Castilla.) Let's also be clear about the cost. In Mazatlan, you can buy a breakfast for $25 pesos. A charge of $40 pesos for 24 hours of internet access is not reasonable. A 20% discount applies only if you stay for two weeks, so seven days of internet access here will cost you $280 pesos. Do not assume that once you pay, you'll be able to get on the internet using your computer, your spouse's smart phone and your kid's tablet. The login sticks to one device. (I could not find a way to release the credentials and there is no accompanying tech support to help you troubleshoot.)In terms of what other reviewers have already said, yes, the Las Flores is conveniently located and is extremely close to the beach, but yes, it's also very noisy around here into the wee hours of the morning. And yes, the resort caters to cruise ship passengers so you may find it very busy three days out of the week (currently Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). Our package included an American style breakfast every day and it was consistently very good but we did not eat at the restaurant otherwise. (I have a detailed rundown of our recent stay on my blog at boromach.blogspot.com if you're interested.)
