Las Flores Beach Resort
- What's Included
Location: Beachfront, 30 minutes from Rafael Buelna International Airport, 6 kilometers to downtown Mazatlan.
Tour from cruise ship offers day use of Las Flores hotel beach and facilities. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant ($40 nachos, chicken fingers, tacos, 1 margarita, 3 daquaries, 2 pina colada). Free chips and salsa. Cool pool. No vendors allowed on hotel property is a major plus. There are parasailing opportunities $40 per person (tandem). So my teens cost me $80 US dollars. I believe that Mazatlan parasailing is cheaper than cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Boys loved their parasailing experience. I enjoyed the few hours spent at Las Flores. We ordered the food and drinks, knowing how slow Mexican service is. The boys were able to negotiate their parasailing rate and complete their ride and return back to our table just as the drinks and food arrived. That's about 45 minutes.... You can parasail, or ride a banana boat or take a swim, all before food arrives. LOL. Guess it's Mexican time.
We spent a whole weekend and have the opportunity to Fishing and take a Tour to the Piedra Island. We got a big Marlin for fishing. Also we spent happy hours at the beach and having dinner at Panama Restaurant.
Rooms old fashioned are nice and quite. The luxury rooms are pretty nice, staff very kind. The only thing is that on TripAdvisor says it has free WiFi but is not true, you must pay like 3 dlls per day or 5 dlls per day for WiFi high speed. Air conditioner very comfortable. Definitely I recommend this place.
We've traveled to Mazatlán for about 12 years, and have found this hotel to have the very best beach in town. Plus it's right in the heart of the golden Zone. You would be making a huge mistake to go to an all inclusive when you can buy a delicious breakfast for about $3 or a great dinner for $6 to $10 at all of the many cantinas in the area. And 2 blocks away you can get an amazing one hour massage at Kelly (from Rose or her sister Anna) for 200 pesos ( $10) Tell them John and Joni sent you. We go there 3 times a week.
My wife and I stopped here as part of a bus tour... Decided to try the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Location is very scenic, right on the beach, food was a bit Americanized, but the flavors were excellent.Service could have been better, but overall a good experience.
