Great location, nice rooms, very very slow elevators, very reasonable. The music from the "Band on the Beach" is unbelievably LOUD, so having a ocean view room is certainly not worth the money. The "Mountain View" rooms have the constant noise of the bars, till all hours of the night.Staff is very nice, and very helpful and friendly. To many other options to return next time.
I took my 3 children here, we were supposed to come back Friday, we cut our trip short by 3 days and came home Tuesday. All 3 of the kids got very ill. I went down to ask for more bottles of water (you only get 2!) and was told the first day was free after that you pay for water. With 3 kids being violently ill I paid for 10 bottles of water. When we were dropped off from the airport we were dropped off on the street with our bags. No one came out to help us, they watched me struggle with loads of bags and three children. The first night we had a street view room. I read the review about the noise and thought "it can't be that bad." I was wrong! It was so loud it was like we were in the bar until 3AM! I paid to get switched to Ocean view. This was quieter for the second night. Then...the band on the beach went on and on this was also VERY loud. The food is not good, breakfast is the best of all meals and even that isn't great. Most people who work here (although friendly) do not speak English. If you don't bring your beach towels back by 5:00 you will be charged a fee. The people selling things on the beach are relentless and wait right at the bottom of the stairs as you walk to the beach. NOT a good place for kids. The pool is cold, and boring for kids. There's not much there for food for kids, and whatever mine did choose to eat made them sick. They refused to eat anything but cereal after that. There were 2 nice waiters in the restaurant, otherwise it was a horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!
This property is kept clean ,and the staff is friendly but you will struggle if you don't speak Spanish .This is a Noisy property with street front Bars and restaurants that party Very loud until the early Morning ,pay for the Ocean View .This is a locals Hotel and The All inclusive may include you eating at someone's wedding or anniversary party (which is awkward) .The Buffet does not change much and is very basic Great for Breakfast and that's about it .The 3 Reservations you can make include food at the restaurant that says steak house it is not ! And limited choices, please plan to eat elsewhere .The entertainment on the weekend is cute .The pool gets very busy with locals, and The swim up bar was closed . You can use the pool at the Luna palace which is beautiful and quiet . Transit stops in front of the property which is convenient,no money exchange or gift store/vending machines but convience stores and money exchanges are close .Lastly the Beach front is clean and well kept with lifeguards and security watching the beach and property. But lots of Vendors trying to sell you stuff .
Don't stay in this dump,To start off I had to walk a block from the hotel to get ParkingI check in and go to the room to rest and watch tv,guess what Nooo remote control do I go down stairs and wait in line to get a remote control.I come back to the room and try to relax turn on my tablet and no internet.aso I call and she gives me the code.Go to the restroom and hear a loud noise for 5 min and there's a puddle of water. So I call the lobby and they send someone to repair.Im only 2 hours in my stay. And already want to go back home.Dont stay here it's a DUMP!!!
We chose Oceano Palace Beach Hotel as a one night transition from our flight out of the USA to our reserved Condo. It worked out perfectly as a clean comfortable place to stay for the night, as we arrived in Mazatlan very late (checking in after midnight). The Oceano staff saved the room for us on a "Late Check In" basis, quickly checked us in and we were in comfortable slumber until morning. This is a wonderful place to experience authentic Mexican hospitality at a very affordable price. We are pleased to report that everything mechanical worked in our room such as hot water and plumbing; that we have found to be an issue in other Mexican Hotels. The setting is festive, scenic, resort-ish and upbeat! We chose a mountain view room which was a little noisy on a late Friday night with many of the local Establishments partying into the wee hours although the sound was muffled enough to allow us to sleep right through the celebrations. The Oceano Palace has a wonderful restaurant in the pool area overlooking the beach. The beach access is superb with a very inviting swim-able beach. The establishment is VERY family suited offering a fun family atmosphere; providing something for every age from child to adult. The pool is fantastic for young growing families. If you venture off the property on foot, you will enjoy lots of souvenir shopping close by. We will absolutely return and expect you will enjoy a stay at the Oceano Palace Beach Hotel as well. Make your selection for mountain view or Ocean view. During the day, there is music playing on the Ocean side, at the pool so if your looking for a quiet room, speak with reception. Enjoy!
