The Buenaventura Grand is home to an excellent, friendly staff that take the time to look after their guests. The food and service is great, especially for a 3 star hotel. The beach at this hotel is quite rocky, but the big beautiful pool makes up for it. This resort is walking distance to downtown, so it's an excellent location! The Buenaventura has had renovations, adding 3 more restaurants and updating the dcor to make it feel more classy. Guests at this hotel have unlimited access to the Hacienda Hotel.
An excellent location right within a short walk to dozens of Puerto Vallarta's best shops, restaurants and bars. The setting of this charming, informal hotel is ideal; beachfront, at the edge of downtown. Pamper yourself at Buenaventura's open-air Shakti Spa or delight your "foodie" senses with authentic Mexican cuisine at one of the resort''s signature restaurants, seaside or pool snack bars.
Location: Beachfront, 5 min walk from downtown Vallarta, 20 min from the airport.
The service, restaurant food and service, hotel location and installations, are great, Everything clean, nice beach view and clean. We had all inclusive and was great, it was ship than others with no all inclusive
Overall an amazing experience. The location and atmosphere of the hotel was incredible. The hotel staff and entertainment group really topped it off. Eduardo, Antonio, and Analy truly made our trip enjoyable and filled with great memories. I highly recommend this hotel, and am already planning my trip back!
5 family members stayed here for our third time. Always love this place. It's right on the beach and only a few blocks to the Malecon.Rooms are always clean and they could use some updating but it's an older resort so kind of expected. Beds are very comfortable and had a great sleep every night. Had a balcony with a partial ocean view and a working safe.Food was great but as usual becomes a bit repetitive after a week or so. Beach service was great....cold drinks and food is offered frequently by a few servers. There is also a restaurant right on the beach where you can go and sit down and order from a limited menu. Best Tabo Mangos ever! And Pina Coladas are also awesome!Finding a spot to sit on the beach or at the pool is a little frustrating because no matter how early we went out in the morning almost all the chairs were reserved with towels! We had an incident where one of the hotel staff tried to accuse us of breaking an umbrella on the beach! We're 5 women and a metal rod had broken so not sure how we could have done that as we had not even touched it! Fortunately when the hotel manager heard about it he searched us out and let us know he thought that was ridiculous! He offered us a 4 course sunset dinner on the beach for free ( I think it's usually about 1,000 pesos per person or per couple). That meal was great and we had great service. It more than made up for that incident and took the sour taste out of our mouths. Most of the staff is very willing to please and everyone is quite friendly. I had a shin splint while I was there and Antonio (I think he's an animation guy) saw me limping and offered to go get me some ice. Sweet guy.We love this place and would definitely go back again :)
We stayed here for two weeks and had a great vacation. The location was excellent, being within 5 minutes from the Malecon, where we walked to almost daily. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good. There was always something new at the buffet. It is not a large hotel so there were never lineups for food or drinks. The Deluxe rooms were clean; however, not completely updated, and the view in our room was nonexistent, plus there are no balconies on the first floor. We spent so little time in the room that it was not an issue for us. Overall, it is a great hotel if you want to be in the thick of downtown Puerto Vallarta.
The people, rooms and amenities were very good, only bad thing is they need to put some sort of NO SLIP covering around the pool areas as I slipped as did a friend. also seen a few other people slip. I would also like to thank Boat number 8 [Rythems of the Night] for a very awesome time, also the performers and staff at the Show
