We stayed here and the sister hotel for 8 days. Ideally located to most places. Easy access to most places even with the local bus. Good food and drinks. Most nights, one can experience Mexican culture with various performances. Very helpful staff, Mrs. Monica and Ms. Magda in concierge desk helped us a lot to arrange hotel and airline ticket to visit other parts of Mexico in a short notice, and day trips to points of interests in PV. Also, Mr. Eliud in front desk is a very kind gentleman which tried his best to help us feel comfortable and enjoy our stay in the hotel. If you are taking a trip w your family or friends, this hotel/ sister hotel is a great place to stay, enjoy your vacation and get a bang for your buck.
We stayed here for the majority of our fourteen days in Zona Romantica as it is known. It's clean. The staff is very friendly. Most everyone speaks English and are happy to help you.I would recommend that if you want to stay here to book several months in advance. It stays full about 95% of the time. It is a family friendly hotel with children of all ages. Several restaurants are on the property also.I believe there are about 160 rooms occupying four floors with elevator service to the first three floors. The pool maintenance department starts about 6:30 am cleaning the pool and getting the area ready for another day at the resort. We stayed here because we wanted to be very close to some of the highest rated restaurants without having to take a taxi or bus. I have reviewed about twenty eight restaurants and attractions all within walking distance of this hotel with the exception of the Marina and Gallerias Vallarta in which case you will need to take the bus which cost about 75 cents per person to take. There is a bus stop about fifteen minutes north of this hotel just off the Malecon. You look for the bus that says Wal Mart/Costco and it will drop you off right near the Marina and the Gallerias Vallarta. Then when you come back to the hotel you look for one that says Centro or just ask the bus driver(s) ¿Este autobús nos lleva al hotel Los Arcos. For those of us that have to be connected to "the net" for personal or business, I found the wifi signal reaches most of the property. There were a few times it was down but only temporarily. I found the strongest wifi signal in the lobby next to where you check in. The hotel provides complimentary juice right by where you check in. A word of caution to families that may have young children who want to swim. Be careful when exiting the pool and walking on the tile in and around the lobby. It is "very" slick. We saw several people take a hard fall. The pool area has blue/grey floor mats that you can walk on for safety but NOT the lobby area.Special shout out to Magdalena aka Maggie in the concierge department who helped us with our many questions. Each room has a decent size refrigerator and our room had a 42" Philips TV with HDMI input for watching movies that we have on our tablet. Just bring your own cable to connect your tablet to the TV input. We are already planning our next trip to PV and will be staying here. By booking in early May of 2017 for our stay in July we paid approximately $70 US dollars per night. If you wait till the last minute you will probably pay about $110 per night or more. Our first two days were simply awful. They gave us the worst room in the hotel. Right above the construction site where a apparent high rise is going up, constant construction noise from 8:00 am. After two days and on our request they moved us to an excellent suite for to days which we enjoyed. Two more days we were asked to move again to a much smaller room. This is a very busy location with many families and children. The pool was very noisy with constant running and jumping into the pool. Good location right on the beach and near many other restaurants, very clean beach. I wouldn't return but I understand why families do.
We went in March, with four adults and one teenage boy. We stayed in a nice double room right next to the pool. It was wonderful to just open the door and walk straight out to the pool area; the water was lovely, and the pool deck area is really comfortable and inviting. We especially loved the resident iguanas chilling in the tree and on the roof! The pool area stays open till 10, I think, which was perfect because the evenings were warm and it was nice to be in the water and watch the sunset. The hot tubs are amazing too, and the bar staff will bring you cocktails. Divine. The location of the hotel is ideal; right on the beach and right in the middle of the Zona Romantica. Easy walk to dozens of places to eat, shop, and enjoy the beach. We will definitely stay here again. The staff was helpful, responsive and polite, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food and drinks were great. We did not get the inclusive meal plan because we wanted to get out to as many different restaurants as possible, but if one had small kids or mobility problems the inclusive plan would be a great deal. All in all, would totally recommend.
Room was clean and comfortable worth the small upgrade for a suite with ocean view. Pool area, lobby and grounds small crowded loud music and full of screaming kids by 10 AM. Staff was helpful and polite. Food was marginal, ceviche was not edible.
