Great, Fun Place

Overall we enjoyed this resort. Our view was great, but we requested via phone before arrival for a king room, and we were only given a room with two double beds. They said we could switch the next day, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of checking in an out and repacking, so we just stayed with the two double beds. Rooms are clean and good size.Service is great. Daily activities are fun and plentiful. However, the tennis balls are flat. If you plan on playing tennis, the rackets are average Target rackets which is to be expected, but the balls were really flat. I asked for new balls and they didn't have any, so we went and bought our own. Next time I would just pack some. Also it is a hassle in the morning to track down the concierge. No other staff, including front desk or the bellman would give you the rackets. Each morning we were told that we could play tennis at 8am and each morning there wasn't any staff around so we had to wait for the one concierge to arrive which delayed our day. Also, the food overall is fine. But we didn't have one over the top amazing meal. I would recommend the Italian place, but note it isn't open many nights, so when it is, I would go. Also the Seaside grill for lunch has great seafood tacos and crispy fish fingers. The evening entertainment is good.It is super easy and cheap to take a bus, or walk, into town. I would recommend eating a few meals in town to get an authentic feel.Regarding excursions, we did para sail with the guy right off the hotel. Very nice. He quoted $50 per person, but two of us went, so it was reduced to $40 per person. They do play the same pool music everyday, and it repeats. I wish they would add more variety. We would recommend this hotel and are considering staying here again, but may do a non-all inclusive so we can eat at more restaurants. We don't have kids but looked like they offered a lot for them to do, however please note the "waterslide" is very small. There is loud music played from next door from 11pm-3am or so, but you will be tired and probably won't hear it, but be ware. And the doors slam down the halls-- can wake you up.

Love this Place!

This is our favorite place to stay when we go to PV. The staff make the Sunscape what it is. Miguel, Maribel, and Enrique at the beach bar are amazing, Edgar in the buffet dining area is superb! Everyone at this resort go out of there way to make you feel at home, meet your needs, and make sure your stay is great. I prefer to stay on the side of the hotel that faces the children's pool, even side rooms. It is quieter and you still get an amazing view. Our room was bright and clean. The mini fridge was stocked daily and the room cleaned spotless daily. The only negative thing I have to say is the "lounge" music in the bar at night gets really old. Even at 57 years old, I like hip hop, rap, top 40 music. It would be nice if to change up the music once in awhile. We are coming back in April 2017 and can not wait to see all of our dear friends at the Sunscape PV!

Decent

So... we had an interesting time at Sunscape. We knew going in that it wasn't going to be super luxurious given that it was fairly cheap, but we figured we would try it anyways. When we got there, they gave us the wrong room. We booked a king, they gave us a double. Then, they couldn't get us into the king room until the next day. So we had to stay our first night in a room we didn't book. Avoid room 433 at all costs. The second lock on the door was just gone. Like there was a hole in the wall where it used to be. Then the AC screen didn't work. So when we turned on the AC we only had two options: full blast or nothing. Lastly we got locked out on our balcony. There was no handle to get back in. We had to yell at someone down below to come unlock our door. We just didn't have the best start to our vacation. After night 1, things got a lot better. We were moved to a king room with everything that worked. Ivan and Ana were excellent helpers at the front desk. Truly accommodating. The food for breakfast and lunch was pretty good. It sometimes took a while to get a drink after getting sat down, but the food was good. Yanet was wonderful. She brought the biggest smile every time she sat us down at the buffet. If you want a spot at the beach, you'll have to get up really early. That was annoying. We never could get up early enough to get a spot on the beach so we had to resort to sitting next to the pool every day. Carolina and Miguel were our favorite poolside drink servers. They were wonderful. Most of the drinks were tasty, but they definitely weren't strong at all. We are part of the Unlimited club, so I would just go make my own drink in the club lounge if I wanted a stronger drink. Dinner restaurants were actually really good. Tiki taco and Mario Italian were both fantastic. We looked forward to dinner every night. The chefs in tiki taco were our favorites. Elena and Oscar were just so, so kind and made amazing meals. The night entertainment was actually really funny. It was a little cheesy but definitely entertaining. I'd recommend going to them if you're looking for something to do at night. Overall, our stay was just decent. It had its ups and downs. It was a fairly cheap all inclusive hotel so I can't complain too much. But I'd recommend it only for families. There seemed to be a lot of kids activities and the kids won't care as much about the things I've talked about. It was just me and my wife this trip, and we probably wouldn't come back. It would be worth the upgrade to stay next door at the Now or Secrets if you're a couple without kids in my opinion.

Great trip with great food and friendly staff

This was the best Mexico trip I have ever taken! The food was wonderful and the staff made every single day a treasure. We were greeted by Elizabeth at the front desk when we arrived and she made us feel so welcome. Cesar (waiter by pool), Bernardo (bartender), Hector (bartender), and all the other entertainment/bar/restaurant staff were incredible. We had a romantic dinner out on the point beside he ocean and it was well worth the extra money! They make you feel very very valued. Definitely coming back here in the future. Thank you to all staff.

Great times

Super awesome time. Service was great, prices were decent at and weather was fantastic. Lots of activities to do, kids have their own club to be in during the day so it keeps the shenanigans to a minimal.
