A $6 million renovation later, Velas Vallarta looks absolutely gorgeous! This family friendly, tropical getaway with magnificent gardens, exquisite pool landscaping and endless activities, all set in a comfortable setting. Close to the Marina Vallarta, the Velas is almost a town unto itself, with its shopping arcade, restaurants, mini-market, deli and boutiques.

Location: On the beach in Marina Vallarta, 15 minute to downtown and, 5 minutes from the airport, minutes from a Joe Finger designed golf course.

Best vacation Ever

Where to begin about all that's amazing here. Room was lovely, snacks sufficient and replenished regularly, drinks same and replenished regularly, simple call for anything and you have it. Grounds are immaculate and everything is pruned perfectly. Pools are large, warm and inviting. Beach is close with great views from La Ribera. Swim up bar is fun, lobby bar is fast, and reception is perfect, greeting us on arrival with refreshing cactus drink and scented towels to refresh you (I've been around the globe and not experienced this same level of consistent service). Casino and Circus nights were so much fun, and the Mexican Fiesta was lovely on the beach. We came home Sunday from 8 nights, and today I booked 8 night return in June as I can't wait to return to my friends Eloy for pool service, and my swim up bartenders for another Welcome to the Jungle (my new fav)😊 Thanks to all of you for taking such good care of all of us including my teens as that makes mom very happy.

Thanksgiving Week Stay

Stayed 7 nights and 8 days. Very attentive staff in all areas from front desk, to restaurants, pool service attendants, room service and housekeeping staff. Beautiful grounds of this beachside resort, well maintained by attentive groundskeepers. All of staff greet you with a smile and a genuine and meaningful "hola" and they expect a reply to ensure you are enjoying your visit. We will return to the resort, you should visit there too!

The best vacation ever

When booking our last vacation I was very hesitant about staying in an all-inclusive resort, because of prior experiences with similar establishments. Several years ago we stayed in a place where you had to stand in line to get watered down margarita the size of a shot glass and the main staples of the buffet were ground beef, wilted lettuce and pinto beans. However, based on several recommendations I decided to give Velas Vallarta a chance. Imagine my surprise when at our first dinner at La Ribera, the most low key restaurant of the resort, I was served a filet mignon on a white tablecloth. When I asked for a margarita, Oscar Corral, one of many wonderful waiters serving us, asked me if I would prefer to have it made with Patron or Don Julio? The next morning our whole family went down to have breakfast at Andrea. My two and four year old boys decided that strawberries and bananas are the only things that they would eat so I made several trips to the fruit bowl filled with all sorts of delicious and exotic fruits. When one of the waiters saw what I was doing, he went to the kitchen and brought out two plates filled with strawberries and bananas for my kids. After returning to our suite after breakfast we could not recognize our room. The toys that our boys brought along and managed to spread over every surface in the entire place were lined up like a train on the back of the built-in sofa. Beds were beautifully made and the whole apartment was spotless. One of the nights my wife and I had a romantic dinner with some nice wine. Since we had a glass each, we asked if we could bring the rest of the bottle to our room. Erik Perez, who served us that night, said that it was impossible, and insisted that we take a full one instead. These are just few of many examples of how the entire staff of Velas Vallarta pampered us the entire time. Everyone, from Mr. Juan Carlos who runs the resort, Saul Ramirez who helped us book it, Jesus Barreto who made sure we got a beautiful suite, and all the wonderful servers, room attendants and all the staff made sure that we had the most wonderful time possible. It’s been less than a year since our stay at Velas Vallarta, but when it came time to plan our family’s next vacation I did not even think about booking it anywhere else. I am very excited go to back there next week. The only difference is that this time in addition to my wife and kids, I am bringing my in-laws and siblings, so they can experience this beautiful resort as well.

Relaxing family time.

This was our first time in Puerto Vallarta. We normally stay at AMResorts. I chose this resort based on other reviews, location, kids club services. We had booked a studio for 4 nights. When reserving through CheapTickes I mentioned it was our anniversary and we would be celebrating the adoption of our son.We arrived around 1:00pm and checkin was a breeze. We were ushered to our room. Apon arrival we had been up-graded to a one bedroom suite. It was gorgeous! The suite was spacious, cool and perfect for us!. I loved the beautiful pink flowers on the balcony, which I spent every morning enjoying my coffe while te others slept.Dining. Prior to arrival I was a little confused about the dining options and menu's. At both restaurants you could chose the small buffet or order off the menu at every meal. On the pool deck there was also snack items during the day. I really enjoyed the hor'dors served poolside. The popsicle cart was also a nice touch. We had room service two morning and the food was hot and consistant. We loved every meal we had, We ate dinner only once at Andreas, and what a treat! The staff! What hasn't been said? This resort is set apart from all the others we have ever stayed at because of all the best of the best staff members who work here. WOW! The fisrt night at dinner our son was brought his pool ring that we had forgotten earlier in the day.Crazy they found us and knew it was ours. Two nights at LaRibiera our 6 year old son was wowwed by their beautiful singer. He told the rest of the family he has a girlfiend! Another time we overheard the server tell a diner that "anything is possible" and it seemed to be!Our son attended the kids club. Although he enjoyed it we didn't remember most kids his age would be in school. Last year we were in Cancun, lots of children but it was August. Very quiet for him, but as the weekend came more children. The grounds were very well tended, beautiful tropical resort. Would love to return!

The best resort in puerto Vallarta!

Had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Velas Vallarta resort with my family , and what a great experience. The room was clean and very nice with a great view, and the hotel staff were very accommodating. The Velas Vallarta is very well located only few miles away from downtown puerto Vallarta and the beautiful marina. Either you are a couple without kids or a family with kids, this amazing place will accommodate your needs and live up to your expectations. We are definitely going back there in our next vacation.
