Had an awesome and relaxing stay. The staff was amazing. The theme nights, food options and deli make this a very enjoyable and affordable stay. It's location to shopping and offsite activities are a bonus. Looking forward to returning.
This resort has one of the best beach locations in the bay. The hotel staff works very hard to keep the customer happy. I like how the beach staff will setup chairs/lounges and umbrellas out on the sand for everyone. The beach volleyball was fun and enjoyable.
We started coming here 10 years ago and the resort is still beautiful and so well maintained, they do a great job at it! If you enjoy peace and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta, then this is the place for you. When we come here we love to just relax and spend time around the pool and by the ocean. Why leave the resort when it is so peaceful and relaxing and beautiful and has such an amazing pool area. All the staff there are friendly and work really hard. The rooms are still kept up so nicely and have beautiful views with balconies. The entertainment nights have gotten a little cheesy, not as good as they used to be. El patron restaurant is good, but they are closed on a lot of nights which is a bummer, because they leave the Italian restaurant open, but who wants Italian (and not great Italian) when you are in Mexico. There are a lot of great restaurants within a walk down the beach or a short taxi ride away. My one complaint is that they allowed one group of people (elite board members ) to hold 4 chairs around the pool all day (even though there are signs saying no reserving chairs) and the people often times would not even show up until 2 pm or 5 pm for a short period of time. We loved being able to use the kayaks and they also have paddle boards. Overall everything there makes for a great stay.
Let me start by saying that this is a resort that we own at in timeshare, we have been owners for 7 years and never stayed here until now. We have stayed at other Villa Group resorts and have been satisfied. Everything here is average at best. Upon check in we were greeted with keys to the room and nothing more, usually we get a welcome package and a drink handed to us. Drinks are more here than at other resorts we have stayed at locally and own at. Service is below average from other places we have stayed. Food is not the best, not the worst either but when you are paying the prices they have, it should be better. Pool side service was hit or miss and there were 2 days that we didnt see any server come by, the days they were there they were great. The food at the deli in front was reasonably priced and good, they also have good prices on other food, drink and alcohol products up in the grocery store. When you have to go to town it is the furthest resort from PV/NV so expect 30 minutes any time you want to go into PV. THat could be a positive or negative depending on your perspective.Overall we had higher expectations of this home resort as it looks really great on paper and pictures. I will likely not return to this location and just use their other VG locations in mexico. I prefer staying at Paradise Village or Vidanta(Mayan Village) when in PV.
My wife and I just spent 9 glorious days at this wonderful resort in an idealistic setting. The resort was extremely well maintained, the food was always absolutely sublime, and the staff was so cordial, friendly, accommodating and helpful they make our stay a pure delight. We hadn't been on a true vacation in well over three years' time and are so grateful we chose the Villar Palmar Flamingo as our get-away destination. We would be remiss not making a special mention to those at this fabulous resort who went out of their way to make this vacation so memorable. A special thanks goes out to: Marimar (Elite Concierge), Douglas and Fernando (Le Patron), Antonio (General Services), Miguel (Membership), and to Selene (Membership) who was the person who started us on this incredible journey! We thank you all and already look forward to our next vacation at this wonderful resort.
