I visited the property just for the day and used the day pass for access to their spa and discounts to the restaurants on the property. The property itself is beautifully maintained and has a very attractive pool area in the center. The staff were all very friendly and warm (including the "presentation" staff) and made the visit a pleasant experience. The spa was very high quality in detail and customer service. The amenities were very basic with the option of showers, a Jacuzzi, and a quiet lounge area prior to going to the treatment rooms.Overall, a stellar visit and would return in the future.
I just got back from my first visit to my time share since purchasing. The service was outstanding, rooms and property were clean and well maintained, and the entertainment staff was great. I thoroughly enjoyed one of your entertainment staff members though. Georgie is honestly your best addition to your entertainment staff. What my friend and I loved about her was how personable she was all the time! She engaged with guests around the pool, at the beach while gathering guests for beach volleyball, and before and after shows. She was very enthusiastic in her water aerobics classes as well. She is very talented and definitely is a huge asset to your team. Her smiling face and bubbly genuine personality is what kept me going to classes and the shows at night. Thanks for making our trip a great one Georgie!
Wow, my family and I loved it here! Our 1-bedroom suite was very well-equipped which is greatly appreciated and super helpful especially when you have young children as we do. Even though this was a short stay, you can see that there is no problem with a long-term stay. The bedroom had a king-size bed in the bedroom, a jacuzzi tub and full shower and double sink/counter in the bathroom, full-size TV, plus large sliding door entrance onto the very large double size patio. We asked for a crib since our youngest was only a year and a half and there was plenty of space to accommodate the crib. There is a separate air conditioner for the bedroom which is also helpful if you want to keep one side of the apartment style room cooler or warmer than the other side. The large and well-equipped kitchen was a real highlight, full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, stove, and a full-range of cutlery, dishes, pots, pans, etc. The kitchen counter has stools on one side to eat at, and a full-dining table with beautiful decor between the kitchen and living room. Next to the kitchen was a walk-in laundry closet with washing machine and dryer. The living room includes nice furniture, a queen size murphy bed, TV, and access onto the double sized patio. The patio, which was very large with all marble floor, included table and chairs, lounge chairs and a great view. The pool and beach area did not disappoint. The pool seemed to go on on, and no matter which area you set-up for the day, it was great. The service & towel kiosk staff were great, always welcoming you in a high spirits, answering questions, letting you know the activities available to children, and so forth. The private beach had plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, access to water sport supplies, and for additional costs you could rent a sort of semi-private airy bed with netting right on the beach. The hotel has a number of restaurants, and if you are a meal plan would likely be worth it, but when not on a meal plan it can add up especially with young children it ends up being more practical to pick-up lunch in the Palmita Market and Deli just outside the front door of the hotel. This place deservers it's own mini review because they have a great sandwich bar and bakery where you can get some awesome sandwiches, cakes, drinks, all for a great price. And they have a good supply of basic groceries, fruits, cheese, deli-meats, yogurt, milk, etc which you can then bring back to your apartment and make good use of the kitchen and fridge. Alternatively and additionally many of the long-term guests take a taxi to the local Mega store which is about a 5-minute drive away, and stock up on groceries, household supplies, clothes, etc. Some people walk there and take a taxi back, but I suggest just taking the taxi both ways, the walk is certainly doable but the Mega store is across a small highway and it's hot, so just spend a few dollars more and take a taxi right to the front door. On a related note, there is not much of anything to do in the area of the hotel property, so pretty much you either stay on the property, which is fine as it's such a great place, and the beach is private and safe, so you can take a taxi to visit other areas. The taxi drivers were all super nice, and concierge and porter service staff are ultra professional. I have to say, pretty much everything about this place was great, including the service. Everyday our room was cleaned and I mean really cleaned, including mopping the marble floors, and shaping a tea-towel into various animals. The only thing I did not like was the aggressive sales pitch to do a 2 hour tour of the property for a discount in things like the restaurants, but ultimately used as a tactic to invest in timeshares. Otherwise this was the best family vacation stay I have ever had. Hope to go back soon!
Villa del palmar flamingos room 1506BThe sad part is I'm a member of the villa group. I arrived to villa del palmar flamingos, puerto vallarta June 16, 2017. I was placed in a room that had spots of mold all around the room. I immediately went to front desk to report it. I spoke to Enrique, his response ok I'll take care of it. Next morning June 17 I went back to lobby spoke to Jose, who at the time told me his name was julian. Jose response I'll send someone to look at it. Agin mo one came to the room. Later that day I went back to Jose he said the same response. Later into the day I asked to speak to a different peroson. He sent someone up to the room and sprayed a bunch of harsh chemicals. As soon as I entered the room with my family , I started to cough, gasp for air than started vomiting ( i have asthma). I didn't even bother to go back to lobby, I had enough. So for the 2nd night my family and I had to sleep on the floor in our guest room, by the way the front desk new we were sleeping someone's else's room and still didn't care. June 18 went back to lobby talked to Juliana who was in charge, she upgraded me to a one bedroom right away. Didn't apologize or anything. I didn't want the upgrade I just wanted a different studio. This was 3 days back no fourth to lobby. As soon as I thought my problem was over and I. Could start enjoying my vacation I was wrong. June 20th I realized someone had taken 200 hundred dollars from my purse I had placed in the closet. The money was all there June 18. So someone within those two days had stolen from me. I made a police report. Gave the security 48hrs to solve it like they asked. June 22nd I asked Yarina if she knew anything about my missing money. Yarina told me there nothing we can do about it. Yarina also said they don't know who took the money so they have to drop the investigation. I was so furious Yarina said to me to calm down it's just money. I lost it even more. That's 200 dollars that I'm just supposed to ignore. On top of that I purchased five days all inclusive and out of those five days I lost two days. Due to walking back and fourth complaining and complaining since day one. The front desk ( KARLA, JULIANA, JOSE, ENRIQUE, YARINA) would give m and my guest the ugliest look and didn't even want to be bothered with me. Flamingo villa del palmar resort, needs to give their staff a lesson on customer service, along with a class that shows you how to smile. The whole staff there are on different pages. Than I purchased all inlusive to find out your limited on the menu. So for example if i want A steak I have to pay extra. I figured with alinclusive everything's paid, negative. I was charged a service fee for room service, I was charged a report fee, I was charged for certain drinks because they weren't covered on all inclusive. So basically this trip was a nightmare. On top of that I pay monthly and a yearly maintained fee for what, crappy service and a moldy room. This place needs new staff member who smile , who aren't afraid to help you, staff that all know how to make the same drinks. They also need better management. I am never returning to this place. SAD PART IS I AM A MEMBER.
Once again, our family had an incredible vacation at this beautiful resort! We were warmly welcomed back by many staff members we have befriended over the years: Abraham, Luis, David, Ignacio, Reynaldo and Domingo. This year we were happy to meet the lovely Lauren and also have our family photos taken by the talented and warm-hearted Enrique (Vallarta Adventures). Finally...Sarah C. went out of her way to make our vacation extra special with paddle-boarding lessons and sharing dinner with us at her favorite (best ever!) burger place. She is a treasure!! Thanks, everyone!
