Our Opinion

The Villa Premiere is definitely the cream of the crop. This resort is known for its amazing spa. They really focus on luxury and relaxation. This hotel has an array of aromatherapy options which make the hotel smell wonderful. Each room has its own signature scent, which you can choose at the start of your stay. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with all the luxuries of home. Guests at the Villa Premiere have access to the Buenaventura and the Hacienda, although you'd probably never want to leave! One of the best in Puerto Vallarta, bar none!

The Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa offers a unique experience with the committed feeling of 'Mi Casa es tu Casa' hospitality. A luxurious, small and intimate beachfront resort in a superb location, just a short stroll from downtown and its famous 'Malecon' boardwalk.

Location: Beachfront, steps from downtown, 15 minutes from the airport.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure Buenaventura is a good hotel going under extreme changes. Unfortunately we were not able to cope with the patience it requires at the moment. I can say that the staff went above and beyond specially the general manager. On the other hand we have this hotel which is a very amped up version of the first one, beware the increase of luxury and the adults only ambience comes with a price well worth it.

Great, chill hotel in the center of Puerto Vallarta

My husband and I stayed at Villa Premier on our "mini-moon" and it was fabulous! It's a beautiful beachfront property, with great service and overall very nice feel. Close to the Melacon! They let us chose our own style of "pillow" and offered a 5-minute welcome massage! I felt like we got the royal treatment. The spa was wonderful also! The hotel is also great for water activities such as parasailing and jet skiing.

Second trip, brought friends.

2nd time at the resort and loved it even more. The staff took amazing care of us, especially Hugo at the pool, Auriello at the bar, Lisandro, Maria, and Lorena at the concierge, and last but not least, Fausto at breakfast. Thank you for another unforgettable vacation!

A great romantic getaway close to everything

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here from May 16 - May 20 2017. We read reviews on Trip Advisor about how it's a boutique hotel and we wanted to try something like that out for the first time. I have to say, it's kind of great not having children running around and being surrounded by others who have the same goal of spending time with their significant other. The Intro: You are welcomed by two glasses of champagne to start the stay off right and a complimentary 5 minute massage on a massage chair. The So-So: The options for rooming they provided was a room on the fifth floor they claimed were 2 "queen beds". While the view was great (amazing views of the ocean, hearing the waves 24/7, great balcony) the beds were probably full-sized at best. By the second day, my boyfriend and I opted for the second option which was still available, located on the first floor with a king sized bed. The second option was great for the bed and how it was a larger room with a lounge space HOWEVER not sure if this was room was like this because it was on the first floor, but our toilet was the an industry toilet where you have to press a black button to flush everytime (wasnt even automatic). Our faucet in the bathroom was also just an on/off sensor and the water pressure was super strong. You can imagine that washing your face in this environment is kind of a pain. The view out of the room looked out into the pool and into the restaurant (which is 2 floor restaurant. I think they can see into the room/living room area.) Kind of sucks that we had to downgrade to this room from a 5th floor room with privacy and views just because of the king sized bed. The lady who works the lobby mini-market was barely ever there. We would stop by every 30 minutes and at one point a staff member noticed this and said they would grab the items for us. That kind of experience is a little disappointing when you're waiting to buy sunscreen. The spa was also okay. Great facility but I felt like the couple's massage was under-par. The massage was weak even though I asked her to apply more pressure. The food was whatever - I'm glad we didn't get the All-Inclusive because the food in the city is amazing. I'll talk about the all-inclusive plan and how we did our trip later in the review. The Good: Great location. My boyfriend and I walked every night to explore the city. Everything is accessible under 1 mile and there's so much to see and do! Amazing food places: El Andariego (for AMAZING breakfast), Barcelona Tapas (for best paella and tapas! amazing view on the top floor building that overlooks the city and the beach), Casa Tradicional (for amazing dinner, being serenaded, truly authentic food/environment/people). We really sought out authentic experiences and they were readily there if you're willing to explore. So, at the end of the day, if opting out for All Inclusive encourages you to explore, then do it - it will be worth your while. The staff is super friendly. We had Hugo who was the staff member working the pool and he is amazing! He made sure we always had the right spots, provided us with umbrellas for shade, he would wipe our sunglasses if they were oily (we didn't even ask him to!). He is very approachable, friendly, and gave us great tips about the city. Exploring the city:It's super safe. I noticed a lot of locals traveling around as families which is usually a sign that they themselves are comfortable and feel safe walking around. More local families walking around than tourists. (Maybe more indicative by how we were traveling mid-May which is typically Graduation season in the United States). We did a ton of activities (all bought through the concierge of the Hotel) so we barely were ever at the hotel. We did Luxury Snorkeling one day, Eco-Discovery in Marietas Island another day - all activities that start super early in the morning (need to be at the Maritime Terminal around 7:30-8am - which is a 15-20 minute drive/ 3-4$ cab ride) finished around 1pm. So we were back at the hotel pool around 2 soaking up sun. Highly recommend those activities as you get to snorkel and see all the crazy wildlife underwater. Also the staff that services these activities ARE SUPER FUN AND AMAZING. The fact that we did a ton of activities for half the day outside the hotel, ate at amazing places in the city, really made all-inclusive not super worth it. Although, if the price is right, I can see how you might as well add it on for the convenience.

Relaxed and quiet; a comfortable stay with walking access to town

Very nice and clean hotel, beautiful setting a the beach with dining facing the ocean. Friendly and helpful staff, it was perfect for a short relaxing getaway. We stayed European style and took advantage of the variety of restaurants in town which are only a 5 minute walk away. The food at the hotel is good but we prefer a more local culinary experience. The beach is not very swimmable unfortunately and full of rocks, which make walking difficult. Another downside like everywhere in Mexico is the abundance sales people trying to hook you on travel clubs, timeshares or other. Overall a great experience and recommend the hotel for a relaxing trip.
