Overview
A charming hotel with a swimming pool area with a quiet ambiance for relaxation. Not on the beach, but with use of the beach of its sister hotel, Canto del Sol, across the street.

Location: In the hotel zone, 10 minutes to downtown, 10 minutes from the airport.

It's nice but stuff to solve

I will start with the things I liked. The hotel is really big, has a lot of activities and it is clean. We chose the breakfast included and it was good, it has a Mexican buffet (eggs, chilaquiles, beans, pork stew) and cereals, fruit, tea, juices, coffee and bread. It is a good idea to include it specially if you want to take tours or visit places near by such as Sayulita. So you can have breakfast fast and be ready to go. The pool seem nice, the rooms are big, the parking has an extra charge, wifi is for free and the location is pretty practical you are around 10 minutes from the city center and 10 minutes form marina. There's a restaurant called Rita's Pizza in the corner and it is really good! We tried it one day we were starving and returned the day after. My only problem was the front desk service, I just don't get it, in every hotel I've been the front desk people are so kind so igger to help and always make you feel welcome. Not this time, it wasn't all the staff our issue was in the front desk. The way the lady talk to us was rude, the way she did stuff as everything was a pain for her. I mean we weren't asking for anything special just information. I understand is not an easy job but I'm there for vacations to have a nice time not to have to stand for sarcastic comments. I repeat it was not all the staff. But is something I really encourage for you to solve.

Family Trip

To be honest we booked this trip on the extreme last minute. Wasn't sure of what to expect as this was our first time going to PV. We have taken many all inclusives including 10 cruises, this vacation by far was not the worst! Warning there is a lot of stairs however there is 2 working elevators that never seemed busy. The staff through out the vaction where very friendly and always greeted us in Spanish then English so hopefully I know a few more Spanish words now! Really the trip was good to great except a few things which I stress was not that big of a deal except the Cooks at the snack bar. They where rude and almost down right mean,my wife had said give them a break they are probably dealing with a lot of drunks.. I tried to get some chicken fingers for my 7 yr old daughter myself since no one was there to take my order(they where in a buffet serving tray out in the open) I swear the cook yelled at me like I was criminal! That really was the only sour note. The AC stopped working one night and the maintenance had it fixed by 2pm that day,yes it was hot but it stopped working half way though our trip and was working within 24hrs thats faster then getting my AC repaired at home!Booking the Villas you have access to the other hotel across the road which was great! Over all great trip with a mediocre beach, but great weather and beautiful people. I would recommend the Villas definitely to people, for price point and location to all amenities.

Quiet and relaxing!

My friend and I stayed at the Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol Jan 31st-Feb 7th and it was a very enjoyable holiday. We decided on the Villas because it was more affordable and I liked the idea of having a quieter area to go to if need be.Our room was very basic, but clean and gave us all the more reason to spend as much time as possible out of it. My mornings started off having coffee and breakfast at the Villas, watching the sun rise and listening to the happy employees chatting away. Later in the day you'd see the same employees woking over at the Canto resort, incredibly hard workers...and probably the friendliest I've ever experienced in Mexico! We enjoyed everything from the food, pools, and beach at the Canto, my girlfriend said she'd stay there if she went again, where I'd do the Villas :-)My last evening and last sunset I saw whales, what a treat!

Good value

Stayed a week at the Villas and was very happy with things there. They have a buffet for breakfast and a pool with bar but anything outside of that is done over at the sister resort Canto Del Sol which is across the street. I would have preferred to stay there as then you are right onsite. One of the main reasons is that the room we were given was just about the furthest away so long way to go if you wanted something from the room. But no worse than some of the very large resorts that are out there. Once again I am so happy with the service that you get from the locals so very friendly and nice. This is a place to go for relaxation as they don't have a place for dancing and not really set up for nightly entertainment. Buffets and bars were good the al a carte meals I wasn't overly impressed with but they were ok. Overall a place to go have a little fun and relax not for those who want to party. Great job from those who work there.

Nice hotel, good location.

This is a nice hotel, sister to the Canto Del Sol across street. I agree with last few reviews. Good service, friendly, good food. Quieter than other hotel. Close to buses. Can walk to many places. Say no to timeshare offer.
