We stayed at Blue Diamond for 10 year anniversary. We looked for an small, adults only resort with something unique about it and that is EXACTLY what we found. We stayed in a Patio Suite and it was huge! Living room, mini bar, two bathrooms, three showers, a beautiful patio overlooking the river with a private plunge pool and butler service. Our Butlers (Cesar, Cesar and Celina) fulfilled every request we had and a resonable about of time. Antonio the pool bartender as well as Manuel in the pool area were great. Ricardo, our waiter on the beach, went above and beyond just service. Speaking of the beach area it was beautiful. The sand is white and the water perfect. Seaweed does come to shore but they have some extremely hard workers out there all the time working on keeping the beach cleaned up.Food- FANTASTIC!!!! Ambar was beautiful. Ask for Ernesto as your server and you won't be disappointed. The Braised Beef Ribs and Tuna Tartar were some of our favorites. At Ambar you can enjoy your dinner while viewing the Lagoon as well as turtles and crocodiles.AguaMarina- again great food. One of the best Ribeyes we ever had!! Ceviche- we ate breakfast here twice and we were very pleased with service as well as quality. If you are looking for a "quicker" meal Ceviche is where you need to go. The other restaurants are an experience so eating start to finish is a much longer process.Surprises: We could order food not just drinks on the beach. We saw every animal we hoped to. Monkeys at the pool, several Coatis (they liked to eat peanuts out our hands), we had an Iguana (we named Bob) that stayed in our backyard the entire trip and of course seeing the crocs. We loved how quiet the resort was. Mostly couples just there to relax and enjoy each other. It was not a loud party resort. Everything is so spread out you never feel crowded. We never how to look for a chair at the pool or beach. There is plenty of seating. A few nights a week they do have special entertainment. One night was a circus show and another a fire show during our stay. They also offer wine tastings, sushi making classes, cooking classes and more.l We also enjoyed snorkeling, sailing, paddleboarding and swimming in a Cenote with Alex at Dive X down by Ceviche. He is great and I suggest speaking with him. I would by far suggest Blue Diamond to everyone and would love to return again one day.
My husband and I were here for a quick little getaway and we were quite surprised to find this little gem! When we typically travel to the Cancun area, we usually book one of the larger "chain" all-inclusives. However, since we were sans the boys, we decided to give this "boutique" hotel a try. This is def a place to visit if you are looking to kick back and relax. There is absolutely no hustle or bustle.....serenity all the way around. My only complaint was that it felt like there was no air conditioning in the restaurants. I read reviews about the rooms being warm, however, ours was comfortable. The food is amazing! No buffets...everything is al la cart and cooked to order. The food was delicious!!The beach is breath taking and extremely calm. We literally had the entire beach to ourselves! :) The hotel was booked out to half capacity at the time of our visit. We didn't spend anytime at the pool, it is a small pool. We preferred to feel the sand between our toes. :)We were given a room towards the middle of the property. The beach, pool and restaurants were roughly a 10 min walk from our room. You have the option of calling for a golf cart ride. Every time we called for a cart, it arrived in less than 5 mins. However, after a couple of times, we decided to checkout bikes and we trekked ourselves around. :)Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to RELAX.
Our visit to the Blue Diamond was exceptional. The staff were all very friendly and very service oriented. Could not have asked for more attentive staff. All staff members are bilingual, so if you only speak English you won't have a problem. The layout of the resort is a great change from a typical hotel/resort. Instead of multi level layout, the Blue Diamond is spread out over a large property that has different room types/bungalows. We felt we had great privacy and so much space to relax and feel like we were in our own little world. The rooms are quite spacious and very well accommodated. Luxury accommodations for sure. And service to match. We enjoyed our private patio and outdoor tub. Separate rainfall showers, comfortable king bed, great A/C and space to relax. We loved the golf cart service to pick us up at our door and take us to beach front, restaurants, spa, etc.. The all-inclusive option is the way to go. Food was excellent with a variety of options (we preferred the beach front restaurant for the spectacular outdoor views). Again, can't compliment the staff too highly. They were fantastic. We will definitely return.
We stayed at the Blue Diamond Luxury Hotel for our honeymoon. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with the most welcoming and warm staff. They greeted us with champagne and chocolates while we checked in. Knowing that it was our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a private suite with our own butler for the week. In addition, they included multiple activities in our package (snorkeling, golf, wine tasting, etc.). We were driven to our suite by Gustavo, who over the past few days became more of a friend. He was so jovial and warm, constantly making sure we were having fun and everything was perfect for our stay. He was definitely one of our most favorite staff members! Upon our arrival at our suite, we were blown away by not just the modern chic decor of the room but the spectacular view! A bottle of champagne was waiting for us in addition to a fully stocked mini bar that we could indulge in at no cost! Celina, our butler, was waiting for us as soon as we got there and went over all of the activities included in our package and took it upon herself to make the scheduling as easy as possible. The restaurants (Aguamarina, Ceviche Bar, and Ambar) were absolutely delicious. The wait staff (Jose David, Moises, Jorge, Antonio, and all the others) were wonderful! By the end of the day all the staff (front desk, restaurants, resort staff) all knew us by name and greeted us with smiles all the time. The foods were top notch and the drinks were definitely on point. We loved that every other night the restaurants had a show for the guests while they dined. One of the nights, we planned a dinner on the beach and everything from the decor to the menu absolutely exceeded our expectations! They made the planning as easy as possible. Jorge, Francesca, and Antonio made it an unforgettable experience. The concierge, specifically Gabriel, was so great! They booked us a tee time on a very beautiful golf course without us having to do anything other than show up and have a great time. In addition, Alejandro from Divex gave us the best snorkeling experience! We cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the moment you enter through the gates you are in for the most wonderful and relaxing experience. Thank you to the Blue Diamond staff for making our honeymoon an unforgettable and pleasant experience! We will definitely be back next year for our yearly Playa trip!!
From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. The installations are beautiful and the service excellent. There are a few employees that deserve to be mentioned by name. Araceli in Circle One is an excellent addition to the team. Being a Circle One member myself, She goes beyond the call of duty, to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Rosa Linda, the restaurant captain at Aqua Marina is a breath of fresh air, always receiving all the guests with a beautiful smile and professionalism. Rogelio the restaurant manager is also excellent and runs the restaurant and pool extremely efficient. Diana, the head of room service heard that I liked a specific snack that you can only get in Mexico, and had it delivered in my suite so I could have one everyday. Martin the Captain of Amber, the luxury restaurant on the property, treats each guest like they are special. And finally Victor the new Food and Beverage Director takes time out of his busy schedule to talk to and make each guest feel at home. I can truly say that this is one of the best hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. We joined the Circle One family 4 years ago and try to stay at the Blue Diamond 2 or 3 times a year. Definitely worth it.
