Our Opinion

Good resort with plenty of options with regards to activities and food. There are lots of activities to do around this resort, making it perfect for kids. Be aware about when you visit the Dreams as it does have the reputation of hosting many weddings during peak seasons (meaning, lots of groups will be staying at the resort).

Designed to reflect the charm of the Mexican Caribbean. Surrounded by glistening pools, lush tropical gardens and a palm-studded beach, each room features a unique octagonal design. A wealth of amenities, gourmet restaurants, chic bars and lounges provide guests with a variety of la carte dining options.

Location: 25 km from Cancun Int'l Airport.

Fantastic Holiday - Thank You 😎

This is our first All Inclusive holiday as we usually like to get stuck in with the locals & didn't think it was 'our kind of thing'Well Dreams have totally changed our minds on that thought. The atmosphere around the pool is excellent & it really does become party central especially at weekends with wedding parties etc.All the restaurants excluding Portofino are very good & breakfast plentiful & of good quality, service everywhere is excellent too. Regarding service i didn't think it was fair to single staff out as they have all been fantastic , but as our holiday progressed there were 2 stand out staff that really went out of their way not just for us but for everyone - Ligia at breakfast & Angel the poolside drinks waiter - they both set everybody up for a fantastic day.In summary this has been one of our best holidays in years & we have had some great ones so thank you to everyone at Dreams - thoroughly recommended & would definitely return.

Amazing Vacation!

Dreams Riviera Cancun is Amazing! The restaurant and buffets that they have are delicious. Must try all! No Reservation needed or a wristband for the restaurants.Which I loved. The employees were always so happy and they offer excellent customer service. The first night out bartender introduced us to the Superman shot. That was my favorite. The entertainment team was awesome! They were Always with so much energy, we did the bike tour and the kayaking with them. Great experience plus it was Free!! We had a great room and view. The rooms were always clean, and let's not forget room service! Thank You so much for a Great Vacation! Will definitely come back

Amazing Resort, friendly staff

The resort was beautiful and we'll kept. The staff was extremely friendly and accomadating. Our wedding planner did an amazing job! It was like something out of a dream having the ocean as our backdrop. We will be going back.

Couldnt recommmend this hotel enough!

this resort honestly is a dream come true and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.its suitable for all types of people from families to couples to friends. the food & drink;the variety of different restaurants was ideal. we went to every restaurant but the French one due to the dress code as my partner couldn't wear long trousers as it was too humid and warm but that didn't affect us there was so many other options. our favourite was the grill the steaks there were to die for honestly we wish we went there more. the world buffet always had such a variety so there was always something to be liked and fancied there. We really couldn't fault any of the food at all though throughout our 10 night stay. when we arrived we were also gladly surprised that throughtout the day by the pool area they also serve freshly baked pizza's, burgers, hot dogs, fries, nachos and paella which was a lovely treat. there was always food on offer at any time of the day. probably our favourite thing about dreams resort was the coffee shop/bakery which WAS INCLUDED IN ALL INCLUSIVE. when we tried out the coffee shop and saw the massive variety of drinks, cakes, ice creams, cookies, pretsels and baguettes we thought surely this cant be included, BUT IT WAS. we went here very single day even if it was just for a smoothie and this really was the cherry on the cake to the whole resort. the drinks, well there isn't much to say other than they had everything you could think of and the proper stuff too not the cheap version which was such a plus. waking up and having Strawberry Daquaris for breakfast by the pool was definitely something I could of got used too.The Accommodation; we had a preferred club room with plunge pool which meant we had a private pool and jaquzzi on our terrace which I would highly recommend to upgrade too and with this upgrade we also had our minibar restocked everyday which came in handy everyday and was very beneficial so I would definitely recommend. we didn't really use the jaquzzi as it was too warm but the private pool was heaven when we wanted an early morning or a late night dip. we couldn't fault our room at all we had a beach and pool view due to it being my 21st birthday celebrations. the room as spacious and the beds were possibly the comfiest beds ive slept in abroad. we were brought fresh towels every day so everything was fresh and clean. Facilities;with our upgrade we also had a 1 day access to the spa which we used on my birthday. the spa was beautiful, it was clean and peaceful and had so many different facilities in it to try it was honestly sensational and a lovely way to spend my birthday morning. the pool area was outstanding. there were 3 pools. the main infinity pool was just beautiful and so big that it never seemed cramped. the fact that the bar was in the pool and you were aloud to drink your drinks in the pool was just absolute heaven and really made it feel like the dream holiday. you never had to get up early to make sure you got a sunbed as there was plenty for everyone. sometimes we wouldnt go to the pool until midday and we were still able to get sunbeds. there was also the childrens pool and the activity pool which brings me onto the entertainment team. the entertainment team;so when they say there the craziest entertainment team there not lying. they were by far the nicest, craziest and best entertainment team weve found in a resort. we really did make some good friends and as we were a couple my partner really benefited from getting involved in the activities with the reps whilst I was sunbathing ha. there were all fab but Luis, Armando and Mario really were absolute legends and couldn't have been more friendly if they tried and never failed to get us involved. there was activities carried out throughout the day everyday so you could never get bored and the music they played by the pool really gave the best holiday atmosphere. the location;this resort couldn't of been in a better location if they tried. it really was heaven, being located right on the beach front with the infinity pool looking over was just a dream. the beach was absolutely beautiful and the beach bar was THE BEST!! although we only left the resort once to go and swim with the dolphins so I cant comment on anything else but there was no need to leave the resort because everything was there for you. the staff;to be fair to all the staff at Dreams Riviera Cancun we don't have a single bad word to say about anyone. every member of staff couldn't do enough for you even if they tried and everyone was so friendly and generous. if I had one bad thing to say about the resort is that the only thing letting the resort down was the room service. we had room service 3 times, we tried a breakfast, lunch and evening meal and really the only one that was ok was the evening meal because it was a steak. the other two were really quite poor and they only brought half our breakfast order and the quality of the food that came through room service wasnt even half as nice as the food you recieved anywhere else around the resort. but that was ok because we just went to the world café for breakfast afterwards but this didn't really affect our holiday it was just the only thing this resort lacked on and needed improvement.overall;this resort really was an absolute dream and we couldn't of wished for a better holiday.Tip;work on improving the quality of the room service food. :)

Nice stay

We visited from the UK for 12 nights and overall we had a good holiday. Good points - the staff are wonderful, always a smile and ready to help, they really made our stay as they generally try their best to make you have a good holiday. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There is a good choice of restaurants and there is genuinely something for everyone at any time of day and night. I'm a coeliac so rely on a gluten free diet to keep well. I didn't really have any problems other than in the Mexican restaurant which I will mention in the not so good points below. The buffet restaurant are able to offer gluten free bread and freshly made to order pancakes. I did use the spa as I had a $200 voucher to use. The massage was lovely but the prices are high and I probably wouldn't have bothered if I didn't have the voucher. The not so good - when we visited the Mexican restaurant we advised them of being gluten free and requested corn tortillas with my starter. When it came I took a bite and thought that they were a bit doughy for corn tortillas. I grabbed our waiter and it turned out that they had indeed given me the wrong tortillas. This did result in me feeling unwell that night and the following day, thank goodness I didn't eat it all. Also, I queried what was in the cocktail mix syrups and no one could tell me the ingredients and not wanting to risk it I stuck to wine. Shame as the cocktails all looked amazing. Although our room was lovely it was at the top end of the hotel and closer to the evening entertainment which meant that the noise of loud music went on until quite late. With us having a 6 hour time difference we were quite often really tired and ready to sleep as everyone else was partying. One night we were kept awake with a drunk trying to get his girlfriend to open the door. Lots of swearing and threats that went on for sometime. After this incident we asked reception if we could move explaining that we had been unable to sleep due to noise. They could only move us to a worse room or wanted us to pay extra for the exact same room but closer to the beach, in the end we put up with the noise. The pool and beach area can get busy and people do put their towels down and then come back later. We even heard one person say that he'd got down to the beach just after 7am! We never got down to the beach before 10am and always managed to get loungers. The vouchers that you receive in resort are just a way of trying to get you to spend more money as you can only use them as part payment. Overall, we did have a good stay and although we probably wouldn't come back to this hotel we would love to come back to Mexico.
